Annnd, I was right....waiting for a tow truck now. He’s actually bringing a skid steer to get the job done. I wish we would have called them 5 hours ago when this started!

Hi! Haven’t posted today. ILs stayed the night last night since it was grandparents day at school yesterday. We went into the cities today with friends to take the kids to the Okee Dokee brothers concert (kids band). N went pee like 10 times during the day so I took her into urgent care to check for uti. It came back normal so I’m not sure what the deal is. Her teacher commented on how many times she used the bathroom on Wednesday too. So we’re going to keep an eye on it. I’m wondering if it is related to her anxiety lately... which I’m not sure if I’ve shared much of here. Hoping it’s all just a phase, but she’s really struggling.

Hi. First time sitting down today, I’m exhausted.
B had soccer at 9:15am and then my Mom came to get him for the weekend, at my request. We’ve had a rough 3-4 weeks with him and I couldn’t take another weekend, especially when there’s so much to do for birthday’s, parties and my SIL coming. So, MOTY over here, shipping my kid off for the weekend ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The rest of the day was ok, got some errands done, lots of stuff around the house and put some stuff for sale online. I need to clear out the spare room stuff, because I’m pretty sure my SIL will be moved in here by the end of the month, yay!

Party was a success! It was a bit chilly out so I decided to do pizza inside so everyone could warm up and there were a lot of people inside. MH didn't handle it well. He's a big introvert and it was too much for him. The kids are quiet, nothing broke, nothing spilled. Everyone had a blast. All the kids want to do is run around together and be crazy. And they did that well.

I know there are some experts around here, ds needs a carved out (mini) pumpkin for st. Maarten Friday/Sunday (school/home). Last year i made them but they didn’t hold up well... how do you preserve them?

Guys, we had major party drama yesterday. SIL calls in the afternoon saying they can't make it cause her 1 year old had a 103 temp. Well...then they showed up at the party. I told MH I wasn't comfortable with it, especially since our kids don't have flu shots yet. This turned into MIL screaming that she was leaving because she couldn't believe I'd ask them to go, SIL crying outside, us getting uninvited to Thanksgiving...
Was I in the wrong? Would you have let them stay? SIL said he was teething, but why would you take your kid to a party with a 103 fever!? Plus, SIL was sick a couple days ago...

wineallthetime I don’t know if I would have asked them to leave, but I would for sure not have been happy about it! And tbh who brings a kid to a party with a 103 fever?!?!? ETA and I’m really sorry about all the seams, that sucks!!! ETA 2 oh and I wouldn’t have asked because I’m a chicken and not because I don’t think it is the right thing to do.

wineallthetime you made the right decision. The flu is no joke. Last year a lot of people, including people who didn’t fall into high risk categories, died. I bet within a few days or maybe even a week after everyone calms down, you will be invited to thanksgiving again. But I would have made the same decision. And if they don’t invite you back to thanksgiving, F them.

No real game plan today except do all my chores I normally do on Saturday and Sunday all today. I didn’t meal plan yesterday so I will do that today, go grocery shopping at some point, and all the laundry. Plus LO and I always make something together on the weekend recently. I have bananas ready for banana bread plus I need to make carrot cake as well.
I doubt I will get it all done but I like crazy goals.

What do you guys think of this fixture? I like those styles of lights but I would need to see the room and what else is going in the room to be able to know. I think those work with certain room styles. |

When we carve, we typically keep it outside so I’m guessing the cold might preserve them for a while, because I’ve never seen them rot, but I have heard that you can use silica packets. |
