I’m not feeling well today so i hope I’m better for ToT’ing tomorrow. We haven’t found our spot to ToT yet. We always do our block but then it’s flanked by two busy roads, so that’s about all we can do here. Last year i went to a friend’s neighborhood who claimed it was amazing and full of ToT’ers. But the houses were all McMansions up on hills so it was tiring getting around. This year we are going to a street about a half mile away where my other friend lives. Hopefully this will be the experience we are looking for.

We never seem to ToT in our own neighborhood. This year we are going to my sister's (huge neighborhood, lots of young kids) and last year we went with one of my other sisters in my hometown 2 hrs away (I was on a work trip that happened to coincide with Halloween, so Layla came with and stayed at my mom's.) My neighborhood is pretty dull, so I doubt it will even get any ToTing kids. Random, but since you know that area you may appreciate this anecdote So the year I was pregnant with B and we were living in KS, we lived on one of the main residential thoroughfares through town (S Broadway, if you're familiar). I figured that since it was a busy-ish road, relatively speaking, most people would do side-streets or go out to a couple of the big neighborhoods. False. Apparently everyone in town *not* on post brings their kids to that street. I had to run to the Price Chopper and buy more candy...I stopped counting at 125 kids.

I'm generally breezy about bringing more people to parties. One of our friends has 4 adoptive kids and their house is still "open" so they often have fosters in their care. She tried to RSVP no because of that the first party I invited them to and I'm like um you're these kids lifeline, bring them to a fun party. Now my cousin showed up to our pumpkin patch party as we were loading the car and everyone was gone just because she wanted me to pay admission for her family. That pissed me off. I dont care to pay for you but you better be part of the party and actually celebrate my kid. That is some nerve

We go to a friend’s house to tot with them and eat supper. I think next year we will skip that party and stay home. Our street is the last one in the neighborhood before a highway so I feel like a lot of people don’t want to walk over our way so we don’t get a lot of tot-ers. Plus they do a thing by the park in our neighborhood. All these extra activities (like trunk or treats, etc) seem to take away from the excitement of actual Halloween night in my opinion.

I'm surprised too since it is pretty busy! Probably just a weird tradition that just stuck for the town.

Well guys, thank you for listening to my live feed regarding car shopping. I signed the paperwork tonight with the original dealership for my new Jeep. Fully loaded, panaramic sun roof (the kid loves that feature), $10 cheaper than previous deal and what the other place was offering, for the nicest Cherokee Ive seen. Im so glad its done!

Oh, I brought it home tonight. When I sent our sales guy a text, I told him we were ready to sign and take it home today, if they could work the numbers. Its sitting in the garage.
Im pretty sure hes as happy to be done with me, as I am to not have to car shop for awhile!

Talked to DH. He still seems to blame me for making him feel unimportant, like he's still pinning his self-worth on me. Versus having anything else going on. It's really frustrating BUT he's agreed to go to counseling with me, so we'll get there hopefully.

I have to tell you guys about the best nail polish in the whole wide world. It’s Essie gel coture. Despite the name it isn’t actually a gel polish that needs a light to cure it. I painted my nails on Saturday afternoon, this is them right now: ZERO TIP WEAR OR CHIPS!!! This has never happened to me before with any at home manicure. Now I need to get a million more colors. The color I’m wearing is Gala-vanting (I’m pretty sure, the bottle is at home). www.target.com/p/essie-174-gel-couture-ballet-nudes-nail-polish-32-at-the-barre-0-46-oz/-/A-51141706cagoldi this may interest you

Hi hi - just got home from dropping off a gift for my agent and then running by the construction site to mark where we want the cable to go..which was basically a guess. The kitchen is opened up and it looks good! They found some surprise hiccups today but my SM and dad claim everything is fine🤞.
J had a horrible day according to him..bc they have a new toy grocery store and he didn't get a chance to play it. Poor guy was out of sorts. Hoping he cheers up for Halloween bc I'm so excited. The classes do ToTing on the main yard on campus and I am handing out treats so I can see both classes.

How awful of you to go into other neighborhoods to ToT joelies! J/k. I think it's nuts when people go crazy about strong ToT feels including people ToT in other neighborhoods. It's nice C gets to ToT in his buddy's neighborhood. We are the neighborhood that people come too. I have over 600 treats to hand out. It's a blast. But we do have some grabby kids/ teens. No one in the neighborhood complains.

Wow trtlcrzy, that's good to know about. I was just looking at some Essie polishes at Target last week, I loved some of the fall shades. Also, super impressed with your polishing skills. I can sort-of/kind-of do my toes but any attempt on my hands looks like I let C do it

I did. My grandma was there and I didn't want the fight. She also opened up all the food I had packed up and made a plate to take home.... #classy

I just pick it off after softening my hands in the shower.

All these extra activities (like trunk or treats, etc) seem to take away from the excitement of actual Halloween night in my opinion. I’ve been mulling this over all week. I don’t mind things like boo at the zoo, a fall festival for pumpkin carving (etc), or even a classroom Halloween party, but we will have been in costume now three times before actual Halloween night rolls around, and it doesn’t feel as special anymore. I’m all extending the celebration, but I wish the costume and bring a treat bag stuff was limited to just Halloween night (be it trunk or treat or traditional t-o-t)
