Happy Birthday doodlemommy!! Such a great gift from your mom, enjoy that time away! I STTN! Apparently DH was up with LO at 11:30 for a while, but I had no idea. It is odd for me to sleep through that since our rooms are so close together, but I've been so tired lately. I clearly needed an uninterrupted night.

Both boys STTN Tuesday night. It was amazing. Then last night between the two of them and waiting up with DH while he finished his homework, i got 4.5 hours of sleep. At least i had a good night leading up to it?

I noticed last night DD2 had a really bad bite mark on her hand when I gave the girls a bath. I mentioned it to daycare this morning at drop off just in case they have a new biter as they’re pretty good about extra eyes on their voters. At pick up, DD2s other hand had a huge bite mark too. Turns out DD2 is biting herself... really, really hard. 🤦♀️ I’m guessing she’s getting more teeth 🤷♀️

I’m staying home again tomorrow with the baby. I feel so bad for him. He’s refusing food, too. Not sure if his throat hurts or he’s just not hungry.

E is also refusing food. Maybe refusing is a tad extreme, shes just not eating as much of it. She finishes a pouch and a few bites, then shes done.
She did wake last night at 1:45 with a 101 fever. Poor peanut. She seems to be doing better this morning.

Just a boring day of errands today. Vacuumed the van out, got the oil change, voted early, ran to kohls.... DD1 and I just needed to get out of the house. After her worst day yesterday (she barely talked all day - a silent toddler is unsettling) she seems pretty good today. She slept through the night last night, has eaten breakfast, and barely complained. I’m hoping the worst is over and she’ll be ready for daycare Monday.

Add us to teething baby symptoms. LO’s incisors are coming down, and he’s a bitey, cranky little guy. We have our big 50 guest Halloween party today. We decorated the house last night and it looks so spooky!! Excited for the fun and trick or treating later this afternoon!🎃👻 danvers Happy to hear your DD1 is getting better! I hope it’s only an improvement from here on out 🤞🤞

cythe, curmudgeon, how are the babies doing? Hopefully much better! I haven’t been around much lately but danvers, I missed this, dd1 was she sick too? Hoping she’ll be back to herself soon. Well it’s inevitable when you have tots and babies coughing into your face so I got sick a few days ago with bad sinus congestion and coughing my lungs out 😩 Nonetheless I’m feeling much better today and I wonder if my flu shot I’d gotten the day before just made it worse? 🤷🏻♀️ Also add me to the ornery baby club. But it’s all good cos HE SAID MAMA! Today! Yeah! I was washing dishes in the kitchen and my mom was feeding him dinner when he said mama. I of course dropped everything and ran over! He got a lot of prompting from hubs and DS too so... this time of year is just so busy I am sure for everyone. We are going to a Halloween party tomorrow and I’m trying to finish DS’ costume so I’ve been busy with that project. Naturally he wants to be something I can’t easily purchase. - chameleon. I’m currently waiting for my heat and bond to set up. Taitai your costumes sound great and easy to put together with what you have. Originally I had wanted for DS to be short round and hubs to be Indy but apparently DS had other ideas and is quite opinionated. Maybe when he’s old enough to watch Indy I can convince him to be short round. 🤣

duskymonkey Aww! How cute about the mama words! 💕. I love the idea of Indy and Short Round too! Maybe next year? I know my H would want to be the creepy guy who says Kalimaaaa!!!! - and rips ppls hearts out. Men. 45 min till our party. I am giving LO a nursing lap nap, because I know it’s going to get crazy soon, and I just want some quiet time before our house gets turned upside-down. Please don’t let my home get too destroyed!!! 🤞🤞

E is still running a fever this morning. Its nothing crazy, but if its still hanging around on Monday morning I'll give the pedi a call to rule out infection. Shes still not eating as much and her diaper this morning wasnt very wet so I'm trying to get more water in her.

The baby is getting there. I think his fever finally broke yesterday but he’s still a snotty mess.
DS1 is being a pill and I’ve already taken away tomorrow’s fall festival. He’s working his way to missing Halloween trick or treating all together.

cythe. Ugh. I’m sorry. I hope you get her to drink more. Poor girl. Are you still nursing her? curmudgeon babies produce so.much.snot. I hope it clears up for LO soon. Sorry you DS1 is being a pill too. duskymonkey DD1 got her tonsils out last week. So she’s not sick (thankfully 🤞), just a loooooing recovery.

DD1 has been talking in a really nasally, high pitched voice - it comes out like a whine with every request or comment. She’s getting better but this whine voice is doing me in. I do feel bad for her and I’m trying to be patient with her but omg it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
DD2 was up at 5:30. I tried to get her back down with H and I but she thought that was playtime instead. I’m hoping to time the girls’ naps so I can take one to this afternoon.

cythe curmudgeon I’m so sorry for your sick babies! Fevers and snot and not eating - ugh, that sounds rough. Sending good well vibes your way. danvers DS1 has been doing the nasally whiny voice too, and he has no excuse of having recently had his tonsils a out. It grates on me sometimes, and I need to keep reminding him to use his “normal” voice 😩

The party is over. Exhausted. But it was sooooooo much fun. At one point, all the kids held hands and were running around in a train. Toddlers in costumes holding hands - too much cuteness!!! DS1 has a huuuuuge pumpkin bucket full of candy. We’re going to have to hide it from him, as he’ll just want to eat it all and give himself a stomach ache.
Off to bed now...tomorrow massive clean up awaits me 😁😂😭

I have never been happier that it was the weekend. I have very little time to myself on the days I’m working. My MIL is being her usual self, she has complained about a number of thing including the fact that I ground my coffee too coarse. She is trying my husband too , this morning he was repeating 10 more days to himself over and over again 😂
Both the kids have colds and coughs but we are going ahead with a last minute party for the baby since her birthday was yesterday. I last minute ordered a cake, my DH is picking up balloons right now and my BIL wanted to bring party hats 🤷🏼♀️ We are ordering in mediocre Italian but it’s good enough in a last minute situation like this. My MIL thought I was going to cook for 10 people from scratch lol nope I barely saw my kids all week I’m not slaving away in the kitchen all day.

I just did a once over of Es mouth and there is another pesky tooth coming in. Her last 7 were totally unnoticeable but maybe her slight fever is caused by that? Shes chewing on her teething ring for the first time ever, so who knows.

We are having a rather terrible morning over here. Well, it’s 12:30 now so hopefully it improves.
My ILs wanted to take us out for breakfast this morning before my kids programs. We hesitantly said yes because we haven’t gotten together with them lately and they babysit for free 1-2 days a week when I’m working. And last week DS fought an early nap before class anyhow so we went for it. He was an overtired disaster during his music class and basically did nothing, normally he loves the class. We will not be skipping nap again even if it ends up being a short nap 😬
And, DD threw such an epic fit at her class that she lost the rest of dance classes (after a warning and second chance, but I have little tolerance for hitting and kicking) so we followed through on the consequence and I withdrew her on the spot. She will now have to come along to DS’s class and sit on a bench rather than going to her class at the same time 🤷♀️
And we get home and my dog has spread her food all across the main floor of my house. Her dish is in the mud room and there is dog food all over my kitchen and dining area 😠

I convinced H to take DS to a Halloween thing at the Catholic Church because they do a haunted house. It’s like 9 & 10 year olds putting it on so I think it’ll be fine for DS. The baby is asleep and I’m watching Dawson’s Creek for some reason. How did I ever like this?

doodlemommy Sorry for the rough day! Hopefully your kids will get back on schedule and future classes will be fine. August Blooms Oh man - I’ll be counting down the days for you!! We are in party clean-up mode today. I FaceTimed my dad while we were putting our living room furniture back in order, and he suggested we switch some things around. It looks so much better now!! I’m really happy that I was video chatting with him while we were recombobulating everything. I also got rid of a ton of clutter and stored away some toys for future rotation/sale. Everything looks fresh and much more streamlined. Sometimes I don’t realize all the stuff that just keeps building up. Happy unintended by-product of having a big party I guess! Oh, and there were food crumbs everywhere- soooooo many crumbs. Toddlers and Halloween cookies 😂😩😁

cythe , 7 teeth already! hopefully it's just her teeth coming in. Lil fella has been getting low grade fevers with each tooth eruption. We're only on tooth #3 meh. August Blooms , sounded like you need a do over today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. curmudgeon , I think those 2 tasks redeemed your DS. I would've been a softie too if he did all that. Taitai , sounded like you had a great party. GF I am rolling my eyes at you this time...did you not get some help to clean up? you're in the best place to easily get such help. danvers, ahhh...yes I remember you mentioning about scheduling tonsil removal - just didn't remember when. Hoping she has a good recovery and you're all hanging on.

So far we had a great day! DS was in good spirits and behaved well. I am almost done with his costume although he debuted it at the halloween party today. I just have to add some embellishments on the top of his shoulders but I am taking a break tonight. Tomorrow is going to be another busy day. We're going to check out another pumpkin patch and lil fella will be tagging along. It will be fun. Both kiddos are feeling much better. I am feeling better as well.

duskymonkey Glad to hear you are all feeling better! Yes - I do have a helper here, but it’s Sunday, so she’s off today. I couldn’t stand the crumbs everywhere, so I just vacuumed myself. I’m sure I missed stuff and she’ll do the floors on Monday, but at least I know we’re not tracking stuff all over the place today! You’re right about being able to get help in a Southeast Asia. I’ve gotten so used to it that I’m terrified of moving back to the states some day and doing everything on my own! 😁😂😭😩

FYI- the haunted house was NOT a good idea. I remember it being much milder. There was crying but no nightmares. And I feel bad i suggested it.

I guess my first inclination on that stuff isn’t so good either. At least no nightmares? I’m sure he’ll get over it soon - kids are resilient.
