Almost two weeks away! Chat about midterms in here. Excited? Nervous? Want to puke? All of the above?

I want to puke. I'm fired up and nervous as hell.
I am so impressed with how organized Virginia Dems are. I love that I've been able to easily write post cards for each race.

Pod save America from last Thursday had an interview with Lucy McBath who is running for Congress in GA-6. I cried and wish I could vote for her. It’s an inspiring listen.

I am excited but also nervous. We have the long-awaited gubernatorial election this year (GTFO LePage) and I think it's going to be a close one. No ranked choice voting this time but we don't have a strong independent candidate this time around to split up the votes so I think we should be okay on that front, although of course it could always affect the outcome if it is very close between the democratic and republican candidate.
It is our first general election with ranked choice voting on the senate and congressional election, which is exciting. I imagine Angus King is pretty safe. I heard the second district (not mine and currently republican) is pretty close so if we could swing it that would be huge.

Let me see if I can link it.

I'm personally not excited about Pritzker but he seems a hell of a lot better than Rauner so there's that.
I really just hope that Raoul wins AG and that we turn our district. They seem to be worried about us because Pence and Ryan have been here to endorse our moron of a Rep.

I swing back and forth between confidence that we'll get the House and deep anxiety that we won't and what would happen next, like another go at ACA repeal.
I don't have much hope for the Senate.

Yea I think it's gonna be a long shot, though Jared Golden seems like a stronger candidate than previous democrats. I would be really really really happy with a democratic governor, a female at that.

I have a bunch of postcards to send this week and I'm text banking with When We All Vote, the nonprofit chaired by Michelle Obama and Tom Hanks. www.whenweallvote.org/

I'm excited. My races are pretty boring, defending two Dem. incumbents, but I'm excited to GOTV.
I have seen a grand total of one Corey Stewart sign.

Right now 538 shows Little with +12 (sept 9) I REALLY REALLY hope Jordan can pull off a win here. We need her soooo badly.

Our races aren't super exciting in CA, but I have my sample ballot filled out and my paperwork ready to work on November 6 at the local polling place. I did get some text bankers this weekend and thanked them for reaching out to me.

Two weeks?! I'm losing track of time.
I want to have the excitement and optimism, but I'm sick to my stomach. My district polled at D+7 last week (R incumbent, but she's terrible) and I will just lose it if the R wins again.
538 shows the race as 8-in-9 for the D to win.
ETA - VA-10.

I wish VA01 was as close. Dump Comstock!

CA-45 is looking to be a very close race. I'm really hoping we can oust Mimi Walters, she's been voting lock step with Trump and our district went for Hillary in 2016 so that should hurt her at least some.

I was going to early vote today, but tomorrow I don’t have DS, so will do it then. I can’t wait.

Early voting numbers in my state in the first three days were four times higher than in 2014. I want to hope that's good news for Democrats across the board, but 45 was still above 50 percent here in the last poll I saw, so I also don't want to get my hopes up.
Unfortunately, I think my dumbass rep is getting re-elected. My city is very, very blue, but my part is zoned with the rural areas and that's as red as red can be.

I’m annoyed. The NDP sent out postcards to fill out to request your ballot by mail. Cool. Except they put the wrong deadline date on it. Not cool. I was excited to not have to drag all the kids out and try to wrangle them while voting, but I guess they’ll be coming along. That also means DH can’t vote here because he’ll be in MN. richard do you know if he can still register to vote there?

I’m a bit nervous. I just don’t have a good feeling about it, particularly Ohio’s election.
I have a nice stack of postcards going out in the mail today for a few different campaigns around the country (checkout Postcards to Voters if you’re interested). Let’s hope to get people energized to vote.

He just needs to bring his photo ID and then bring his parents to vouch for him living in the voting district (I'm assuming he's living at his parents?). www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/register-to-vote/register-on-election-day/

I could have asked you 🤦♀️ Yeah, he’s living with his parents. Interesting that you can register just by having someone take an oath that you live with them.
