I’m back to work in one week... 😢. I’m just enjoying the holiday with DH home, DD1 is insisting she doesn’t want to nap but is curled up on the couch with her blanket.DD2 is super grumpy and won’t nap, so I’m thinking more teeth?

Baby officially has a bug of some kind. She’s had a low grade fever the last two nights. She had her flu shot Thursday but it seems unlikely it would be that at this point.
We gave her some Motrin and she’s chowing down on some corn on the cob. She’s literally eaten half a cob. 😮

Oh and speaking of sleepy DHs, mine took a Benadryl because he had a really minor rash after his flu shot and then crashed on the couch. At dinner time. 🤔

I ended up taking the girls back to school after daycare today because I found out my classroom will be used for the all-day I service training. I wanted my room to appear presentable so we spent a couple hours cleaning and organizing. The girls loved wiping things down, coloring, watching Daniel Tiger on my projector, and crawling around. We stayed way too late and their bedtime routine is now thrown off but we will survive.

I had on patent leather heels at work and stepped too close to squeeze by something and they got kind of stuck on each other and I fell. In front of people. In a dress. And skinned my knee like I fell on concrete instead of carpet.

Well we have a freeze warning tonight and forecast for snow tonight and sometime this week too. We somehow bypassed autumn and went straight to winter. There's like 2 seasons here; summer and winter. Today started off not right either. I had planned to bake a couple of cake layers this morning but after coming back from dropping DS off at school I discovered I left the eggs at the store yesterday so my plans got topsy turvy so I cleaned the bathrooms instead which I was going to do Wednesday. Anyways I picked up eggs after getting DS from school and clinic and rushed to bake the cakes in the middle of dinner. I guess lil fella didn't like the kitchen aid going and was super upset and DS was screaming at the top of his lungs because we couldn't answer his questions over the loud mixer and eating poorly and wanted me along with baby. It was a shit show. Now I am going to wrap the cakes and throw it in the freezer.

1. The capacitor on our A/C broke yesterday evening.
2. LO was up from 10:30 pm to 2:00 am.
3. I do not know if 1 caused 2.
4. We are tired and cranky. And by we, I mean DH and me.

As of yesterday, M has been drinking only milk! no more formula. I also caught her dancing to some music we were playing in the house on Saturday. It was truly adorable.

CoachTsWife all the caffeine to you and your H. Hope it can get fixed soon. duskymonkey I hate when I leave things at the store or go for just one thing and then get lots of other stuff but that one thing I originally went for. I feel like that kind of stuff happens more and more now with two kids

Just mtgs and parent conferences today. But what I really want is a nap.
LO has been standing like a pro but no steps yet. In fact, she refuses to take a step and doesn’t seem to want to walk holding our fingers anymore. However, she seems to have got the standing thing down so maybe taking steps soon?

Lol my knee is just scraped up but no blood so that was good. One of our sales guys said it was the most uneventful fall he’s ever seen. So I’ll take that as a compliment. I tried to land so I wouldn’t flash anyone. 😬
Looking back on my falls, it’s safe to say I’m pretty clumsy.

I have a grumpy nap refusing baby today but she had fun at her first morning transition to daycare. She spent the whole time with me but tomorrow I only stay for a bit and she stays for the morning.
I don’t know what to do with myself. I feel the need to check things off my to do list before I got back but part of me just wants to do nothing. I am getting my hair done tomorrow.

We are currently stranded in the airport 😭 They cancelled our connection, we are rescheduled for one that leaves at 6:35 pm now, yikes. Thankfully it’s a short flight but it still means we don’t even land until after bedtime. So by the time we get our bags and get home it is going to be LATE. I rescheduled grocery pick up for tomorrow morning but now I’m not sure what we are all eating for breakfast tomorrow and I guess I’m going out for lunch. I have to work and it’s DD’s preschool picture day so I have to wake up early and get myself ready before she gets up so I can do her hair etc for pictures. I expect tomorrow to be a bit of a disaster

doodlemommy that all sounds really stressful - I hope everything goes much smoother for you. Sometimes mentally preparing yourself for the craziness is half the battle cythe that grin - she’s adorable but she’s gonna need to work on her poker face before middle school. She’s got way too many(mostly adorable) facial expressions that will give her every thought away. Those are some of my favorite kiddos though too. 😏

I hope your morning goes as well as possible, considering the circumstances. curmudgeon Sorry about your fall - it happens to the best of us, and at least you weren’t carrying anything breakable? duskymonkey I’ve had a dinner like that. DS1 is notorious for just getting louder and LOUDER if we don’t give him the attention he thinks he deserves...especially at dinner time. It’s so annoying.

DH and I finally got our flu shots today. LO already has his, and DS1 will get it at his 3.5 yr checkup next week. I really hope we can avoid the flu this season - flu A has been going around here like crazy. 🤞🤞

Evelyn has started maneuvering in her bed. MOTN I put her down in her crib facing the direction I always do, and when I checked on her on the monitor she was a complete 180 from where I left her. She doesnt crawl, stand or even remotely enjoy being on her belly so who knows how much flopping she had to have done!

I’m currently sitting in line for emissions testing. Failure in communication between hubs and I resulted in me having to wait. There’s like 8 cars ahead of me. There’s also 3 bays but only 1 is open. 👍 way to go gov workers. 😡
I also somehow caught a cold from DS who had it last week then he gave it to lil fella now it’s my turn Bleh! They recovered within days so hoping for the same outcome. However I doubt it, us adults seems to get sick much worse than kids le sigh 😔
ETA it’s also snowing and 0 degrees and we still
Have summer tires on. It’s a little early for snow. Caught off guard

CoachTsWife hoping you got your ac fixed and it wasn’t too hot. doodlemommy hope you got home safely and not too late and despite the delay, everyone had a great vacay danvers yes to forgetting things all the time. I was rushing out of the store cos DS was not listening and I was getting irate 😒

Omg we’re finally moving. August Blooms, enjoy your last few days before going back to work. I’ll hopefully be doing the same in the next few weeks now that lil fella is finally getting accustomed to my mom and has been drinking some milk out of sippies. He wasn’t a fan of straws 🤷🏻♀️ But still going to try with water |
