lahdeedah, you shouldn't be able to feel them. Make sure you let them know that you can feel them. The contour of your eye could be slightly different than that of the contact, so they will need to adjust that.

lahdeedah I’ve tried so many types of contacts and always felt them... sticking to glasses now 🤷🏼♀️. ETA according to my optometrist some people are just more sensitive.

I was in a meeting and one of my coworkers has a hospital therapy dog. The dog had diarrhea all over the conference room. Ew!

Same, but I keep a couple of pairs around when I know I’ve only need them for a few hours at a time. The dailies are the most comfortable but I’ve gotten used to wearing glasses most days.

And I just love the added awful curl at the bottom like she clamped down with a curling iron and didn’t let go.... in the same direction on both sides 😂

Yes, she had all my kids. My aunt (her sister) was all their teachers in pre-k 3. My grandma was the original teacher when the school opened in the 60’s. I worked there in college as did my cousin. That's so cute! He must love it. But then they are all probably confused when they go to K and they are not related to the teacher My mom and aunt both only teach the academic part of the day in the morning and leave at lunch. I leave him until 3 so he gets a few hours with other people for that very reason.

slenle Thank you so much for sharing that, it made my day! lahdeedah It's been forever since I put contacts in for the first time, but I don't remember particularly enjoying them at first. This was also the time of wearing the same pair for a year, long before dailies. I would let your doctor know that you can feel them and see if they have something that would be a better fit. The dailies that I used to wear, I actually wore for like 2-4 weeks, until they started to get cloudy, before changing them.

tgrimes, so glad you have an appointment! I hope the Dr is great and gets to the bottom of everything lahdeedah from what I recall, I found some brands/styles were more uncofmrotable than others. Most of the time I felt nothing. But if my eyes were dry I would always feel them. I definitely remember having to try a few brands when I Switched from the long term ones they used to make to the newer daily/monthly ones.

tgrimes So the other day after you reported back about H's low immunoglobulin (sp?) levels, I googled and the first thing that popped up on WebMD said sometimes that can be caused by steroid use. It made me think of H and all his EI's and I thought I remembered him being on steroids for them at times. And then today you said they have him on another one. Anyway, just my .02 in case you are still on the ledge a bit...the low levels could be something as simple as that. Glad they were able to get y'all in relatively quickly!

Not that I actually want to endorse this, but I didn’t get the emergency alert on my phone. Anybody know if I should turn it on or if so how? I’m listed for emergency and Amber alerts in my settings, and I typically get them when we are having bad weather, but nothing today.

Thanks for the advice. I remember the doc saying how the dailies and monthly differ. I think he said the dailies were better, but then you have to have a place to store that many contacts if you buy 6 months at a time. I’ll talk to him about trying out a different brand and possibly doing dailies if needed.
I like being able to see ether and I know I don’t want to wear glasses all day. When I do wear them, I eventually get a headache after a few hours. Hopefully we can work out the kinks.

Every phone turned on should have received it. Unless you are near a border to another country and just happened to be on one of their towers. There could be something wrong with the towers in your area

I read a couple different places online that not every phone would get the alert; not sure why that is the case. I guess I don't see the problem with this; it's coming from FEMA. it's been in the works since 2012.

We tested a very small sample in my office and it seems all the Verizon people got it, but not the AT&T people. Again, this was a small sample (3 Verizon users who got it and 2 AT&T users who did not) but I'm not sure if that might have been why?

The only time he's been on steroids is in August when he had croup. I asked the ENT about it today and he said the steroids would lower his white blood cells.
