tgrimes , can you take the rug outside for some fresh air for a few hours? Not sure what size rug you’re talking about It's pretty big, but yes I could.

tgrimes Agree with guster , vinegar is a great odor neutralizer. You could saturate with vinegar, add baking soda, let dry and then vacuum up.

tgrimes, thanks for checking in. Today is my due date and baby boy seems pretty cozy in there. I have my OB appointment on Thursday and she’s going to check and see if I’m dilating at all and I’m guessing we will discuss what the plan is from there. I also have an ultrasound on Friday.

Hi! So we went to approximately 17 stores (only a slight exaggeration) looking for something appropriate for tennis, lol. So. many. basketball. shorts., and/or everything has writing on it. But we eventually found something.
I called to check in on the results of B's sleep study; with the hurricane the drs. are backed up but the results are in and the triage nurse took a look. He has 'moderate' sleep apnea, and she said based on what she was seeing, she thinks the ENT will recommend surgery. We were prepared for that, so now we are just waiting for the official review and we'll go from there.

xolastunicornxo I can understand your being thrown off guard. I wonder if they think it's 'sudden', since they've owned this house for a while and probably assumed you 'knew' this was the plan someday. Ha. Whatever the personal feelings, practically speaking it can be tough when older people relocate--all new doctors , new friends, etc. They really have to put themselves out there, whether it's joining a religious or a social organization, etc. Do you think they will be willing to do some of that, or do you see them being dependent on y'all socially?

Cs throat culture came back positive for strep. I had leftover antibiotics from the last time when they started them but the culture was negative so I had given them to him already because I knew he had it despite the negative swab. I’m not patting myself on the back and the Dr said I had good instincts. He needs three more days and some Zofran so he doesn’t throw up from it like he did yesterday.
Now why has he had strep twice even without tonsils? I’m going to call the Dr later. It hasn’t been as severe and I guess I got it once since having mine out but I still want to talk about it.

Let us know what the dr says. Also, this is random but is your zofran liquid?

Also, C has been a horrible sleeper and I don’t know what’s going on. She wakes up and is obviously exhausted and I’ll rock her and she dozes off and then will wake up screeching. It’s almost like she fighting sleep? She’s fine and happy during the day, it’s only happening at night. Do you think it could be an ear infection?

Anyone have a product they'd like to recommend for getting the vomit smell out of my rug? I tried resolve and this pet cleaner stuff we have. Put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the area. Then sprinkle baking soda on top. Let it sit till dry and then vacuum up the baking soda. ETA: clearly I didn’t read ahead. This also works great on mattresses that have been peed on.

So I texted A and told him I passed on the car. His response "why did you do that?" 🤦♀️ BECAUSE YOU REFUSED TO SAY YES. So now we're going to test drive it tonight. He baffles me.

I'm supposed to be folding laundry but instead am curled up in bed watching a show about WWII. Nothing like some light mid-day television! In the 2 minutes it took for me to supervise B trying on his new tennis outfit (which is too big, btw...FML), C plopped down and fell asleep in her anywhere chair. I was able to transfer her to her crib without a peep; girlfriend was so overdue for a nap. B wants to swim this afternoon and DH is on his way home so maybe he can supervise and I can sneak in a snooze, too. Oh, and B has apparently entered the age of jokes. He told a funny one the other day that he must've heard at school, but now he's trying to make up his own...stand-up comic, he is not

But when I went to change her bight diaper I realized it was still dry. She still hasn’t peed so I called the ped and they want me to nurse her and give her some pedilite, and if she still hasn’t peed in an hour take her to children’s er. I’m trying not to panic.

He told a funny one the other day that he must've heard at school, but now he's trying to make up his own...stand-up comic, he is not S tells jokes all the time, and they are rarely funny. One time he accidentally made it funny. They are often variations of why did the chicken cross the road. So like, " Why did the elephant cross the road? To get to the shoe store". But one time he said "Why did the piggie cross the road? To get to the bank." For some reason I found that hysterical... Get it? Piggie Bank?? Anyway, I'm 99% sure it was just a coincidence and he did not intend it that way.
