It’s end of fiscal for us and a bunch of things we ordered are coming in today. By we I mean mostly the team. But we found out that someone forgot to submit in order so now we are screwed.

Going to the children's museum today with my friend and her 1 year old. I told Matthew this morning and he said "Okay, well I'm kind of excited about that"
Laundry later.

Rainy day here, so of course we’ve already exhausted puzzles, StoryBots on TV, and now they moved on to trains. I feel like it’s gonna be a long day.

Morning! It's humid and rainy today, I'm so ready for some actual fall weather. Sigh... I am NOT in the mood for work, but here I am. The weekend feels so far away!!

I have to continuously search for November 2013. It just started yesterday, but I’m already annoyed by it. Anybody have a hack to fix it?

Morning. Dropped H at school a little bit ago and then came home so S can finish eating her breakfast. In a little bit we are going to skyzone to burn off some of her energy.

Morning! I forgot to update yesterday but I had a hectic morning - I was running late (as I am every morning), buckled the kids in the car, and went to start it... dead battery. BOOO!! Anyway, thank goodness MH was still home (he left yesterday for a 2 week trip) so he jumped me, I took the kids to school (left the car running while dropping off) then rushed to work for my morning meeting I had. I was able to get a new battery and had someone here install it (I work with a lot of mechanics).
Stressful start to the day.
Today, S has a field trip to a science center that he is super excited about, but we almost missed the bus b/c he had to use the bathroom right as we were leaving.
I think I need to start waking him up earlier!

Morning guys. Sorry I didn’t check in yesterday, it’s been a bit crazy. So my parents have owned a house down here for about ten years and they come down every couple of months. They always said they might come down here permanently, but my dad hasn’t been ready to retire yet. Well, they called me yesterday to tell me they are coming down here for good...... next week. Like whoa, thanks for the heads up. I’m having mixed feelings. I’ve told you we are concerned that mom might be having some cognitive decline (she’s 74) but so far she is refusing to go to the neurologist. Whatever is happening, she is definitely showing signs of social anxiety and it seems social situations make her “episodes” worse, and because of this I feel like my parents are isolating themselves a little bit. AnywAy, that was a ramble but basically I’m feeling anxious about what it’s going to be like having them here full time and if it’s going to fall on me to be the one to make the push to make her see a dr.

Also, C has been a horrible sleeper and I don’t know what’s going on. She wakes up and is obviously exhausted and I’ll rock her and she dozes off and then will wake up screeching. It’s almost like she fighting sleep? She’s fine and happy during the day, it’s only happening at night.

xolastunicornxo, I totally understand where you are coming from. I was in the same position 2 years ago when my parents decided to move to the town my sister and I live in (from almost 2 hours away). It was a shock and I was also super concerned about that transition (although for different reasons than you have) but it has been great and i couldn’t imagine them not living here now. I have to let a lot of things slide instead of let them get to me, but overall it’s good. My sister is probably having a harder time because she is super emotional and basically want to live in fantasy land where everything is perfect... and that’s just not the case.

slenle yeah, I’m totally just worried about the transition too, beyond the other stuff. Shaun and I have been “on our own” since college. And while sometimes it sucks not having family close by, it’s also nice that we never have an family obligations/drama/having to check with anyone else about our plans. We’ve always just been able to do us.

tgrimes no definitely not. I’m sure it’ll be fine. It’s just a big change that’s happening next week.

tgrimes no definitely not. I’m sure it’ll be fine. It’s just a big change that’s happening next week. You know I love my in laws and we see them every Sunday for dinner. I would NOT be able to do the same thing if my parents ever moved back here. It's so weird that they just decided this and it's happening so soon.
