We’re back at the hotel. I got a late check out. We just had breakfast downstairs that was quite tasty. We’re chillin in the room for a bit before we venture out. The hotel is connected to the galleria so I’ll let him burn off some steam while I try to shop a little.
We’ll head back home sometime after lunch. M has a soccer kickoff party at 630 tonight that should be fun. Hopefully it won’t be rained out.

lahdeedah, glad he did great! It made a world of difference for B after he had the tubes, so I hope it's the same for M! Word of caution though, B was walking like he was drugged till after he woke up from nap. He kept falling over and bumping into things! Just so you are prepared if you are out and about with him! peachsmama, sorry I missed J's birthday! Hope it was the best!

@ladeedah glad it went well, hope he recovers fast! trtlcrzy spaghetti bolognese? Sauté a chopped onion/garlic, add the beef, once the beef is brown add a couple of tins of tomatoes. I always add two shredded zucchinis, but you could also add mushroom, bell peppers or nothing. Done in under 5 minutes, if you don’t count the cooking time of the pasta.

Morning. Girls are both at school and I’m at the doctor waiting to be seen. AF showed up this morning and I woke up with a massive headache. When I get done here I’m probably going to go back home and lay down for a while. This afternoon I think I’m going to take the girls to a park to play and then I work tonight. Any suggestions on a quick and easy meal I can make with ground beef for supper? Tacos!

First day at the new job today. It was challenging to say the least. I had no place to work, no computer/laptop, I couldn’t access my account and there was no one to show me around a little bit. Me and another new coworker played mover for the day and now we at least have a place to work, fingers crossed the rest will be in working order next Thursday.

Morning! I’m glad things went smoothly @ladeedah mwhip I’m sorry about your pup. trtlcrzy tacos, spaghetti, hamburgers? Sunny41 it went well, thanks for asking. As I knew it was, the anxiety was mine. The kids were all sweet and Lucas had so much fun. Nothing much here today. C has three teeth coming in and is congested, so there is no sleep being had. I had that point in the middle of the night where I was practically in tears and begging her to go to sleep. Oh well, I know it will pass. I’m going to go to the gym and Starbucks and then target and michaels for some fall decorations. Then a friend and me are going to get margaritas and see crazy rich Asians tonight.

One more quick idea trtlcrzy...sloppy joes. Tacos or spaghetti are my usual fast go-to's.

Oh my gosh, so much productivity is happening. I'm getting a glimpse of mornings when both children are in school, and it's a beautiful thing. I even called about tennis lessons for myself(!) and didn't have to shush anyone or shake a kid off my leg, lol.

I had a teeth cleaning this morning and just got into the office. I spoke to the dentist about M's teeth and she definitely calmed me down.
She got onto me about my wisdom teeth though so I guess I'll be getting those out later this year...

Hi! Charlie’s taking an afternoon nap. It’s probably his first since July, he was so grumpy during lunch that I thought he must need more sleep. Josie is lounging in my bed watching Luna, I should be drying my hair, but you know how it is... I vote meatballs, trtlcrzy. My kids always gobble those up, and if there are any leftovers you could throw them in sauce for pasta tomorrow.

Layla's teacher emailed me yesterday afternoon to tell me that Layla is not participating in circle time and has been acting very defiant. I responded asking if it seemed like Layla was trying to "impress" the other kids and trying to make them laugh or anything. She said "no, it seems to be that she wants to do what she wants to do." Well that sound pretty typical for a 4 year old, especially a feisty stubborn one like mine.
Anyway, I decided to try an incentive program at home. Each week on Sunday Night/Monday Morning we will pick a popsicle stick that has a fun activity on it that she needs to "work" towards all week by behaving appropriately at school. We will do the fun activity on Saturday or Sunday. So far I have:
Play Place (think chuckecheese with kid size indoor carnival rides) Play Date with Logan Movie Theater New Toy Date with Daddy Date with Mommy Ice Cream Shop Trampoline Park Indoor Swimming Zoo Aquarium Indoor Bounce House
Can you guys think of any other incentives that I can add to the mix?
Notice how I use the word incentive, but really I mean BIG FAT BRIBE!!!!!

Can anyone recommend a good Pilates workout /DVD? This is ancient but I like Windsor Pilates Accelerated Body Sculpting. It's around 50 minutes and you can find it free on YouTube.

mskatiep I'm not above bribery. We give Dude a piece of money for his piggy bank if he gets ready quickly in the morning. As for the activities, what about a camp out? We do this on the weekends with Dude. Blow up the air mattress and let him pick a movie then one of us sleeps downstairs with him. I like it because we can use it as a reward but I also think it helps his behavior because he is getting some one on one attention that became harder to give once X came along.

I don't understand why you would need them out unless they are bothering your or rotten? But I had mine out in high school, so I don't know much about them.

mskatiep We recently bought the Melissa and Doug responsibility chart and it's working awesome. There's a really good mix of behavioral and physical chores to complete. He gets 10 cents for every star, so the ability to earn $5 per week. It's really been great for him, allows him to focus and he knows what I expect of him.

So, we just booked a trip to Disneyworld next year (!!!) Who has gone? What do I need to know ? Also, we already made a few reservations but where are the best places for toddlers/picky eaters to go? This sounds like a new thread idea. Also, I'm sure there are quite a few on GD that I've seen.

Hi all, crazy morning here. If life could slow down, just a tad that would be great.
I finally reached out to our PsyD about getting Evie evaluated for ADHD. I have noticed certain behaviors seem to be getting more pronounced as she gets older, and I want to have her evaluated before kindergarten. We are scheduled next Monday for intake 😬
I have my aunt and cousin coming over for dinner, orientation tonight and just a million things. I was knocking things off my list, and I emailed MIL to ask her to forward me the details for a trip we have at the end of the month. There are alot of moving parts and she's been relaying bits of info to H, but...come on...that you know that info is not getting to me. And let's be real, we both know I'm the one doing all the planning. She immediatly calls me while I'm in the grocery store with Bea and leaves a VM to call her back. *Sigh* I just want to be like, please just respond to my email with the info I requested in a single, organized (preferably bullet pointed) email and we will chat another time...but I assume that would not go over well 😉
