Morning. I woke up at 9 today and had to run out the door to take my oldest in for his meds check. We had to do the survey again and the questions supported a suspicion I have that Evelyn might have ADHD too. I going to be keeping a close eye on her this school year and see what her teachers think. Le sigh.
We are on hardware trip #3, and the door is still horizontal on the patio floor. Two trips were to pick out new hardware though, so I'm not sure if those count 😉

One day mh will volunteer to take Cadence to her activities, right?.....right?
Most of the time he says it as I'm already closing the door. Oh hey, want me to take her? 😒

We went to the zoo this morning & then M came with me to get Shopkicks. Walk ins at some places are 150 today!
MH has ANOTHER football draft today so I’ll be solo parenting again tonight. 🙄

C is on a nap strike today, so she's going to be super delightful in another hour or so. She's currently lying on the sofa with me eating BBQ chips...this really is my child. Meanwhile, B is snoozing in his Anywhere "Recliner"

Also both M & H pet a snake at the zoo. I swear they’re not my kids. I made MH hold H so I didn’t have to get close to it.

Hello! Mellow day around here today. I’ve accepted that our house will not be ready for this baby so I’m trying to move furniture around so we all fit in the one bedroom here. Double bed, toddler bed, bassinet, dresser and a little storage bin all in one room. It’s interesting. Hospital bag is packed minus the few last minute items and I think I’m going to install the car seat now. DH worked this morning and has been on the computer since he got home. N is upstairs playing with his cousins so I don’t have to parent and try get everything done.

We are back from the park where we met cagoldi. LO is eating his sandwich because it takes 2 hours to eat 🙄. We swung by target and I forgot to get detergent. I only needed 3 things and I forgot 1 of them.

I’m still super irritable. I changed SSRIs a week ago and my guess is this is from that but seriously everything is annoying the last two days and when you get into that funk it’s hard to snap out of it. It’s beautiful out all I can focus on is how my hair keeps blowing in my face and tickling my nose.

Yesterday, Charlie asked to use the potty, and he did. I thought it was a fluke. Today he asked for the same thing and 2x, and did! I don’t think it’s anything consistent yet, but I’ve never had a kid who’s expressed interest so this is new for me.

That’s how H PT’d, she told me she wanted to so we did the 3 day naked method the following weekend.

Most of my house is sick. I’ve had some sinus pressure/pain since yesterday so I’ve been taking sudafed but I didn’t bring a dose to work so after it wore off I started feeling really crappy. I have a fever and took a 3 hour nap after work. S started loosing her marbles around supper time and she too has a fever. DH is the last one standing. Fx bedtime goes well for everyone.

Hi girls. Crazy day, but when isn't that the case anymore?
I have a question for anyone who has done an IEP/assessment through the county, how do I get the ball rolling on that? I know I could just Google but I'm not finding the info I need. Or is Early Intervention what I would need now?
I can't afford $480/month just for X's therapy copays (since now they are talking about regular OT and ST)m on top of feeding). There's just no way. So I'm hoping that maybe if I g that route they'll have another avenue besides going through our insurance.

We didn’t do it because the group that preformed it releases some of the information to other organizations.

Got home from swim and fell asleep for 3 hours. We went to a chipotle-esque place for dinner, walked around a toy store and now we're home. Cadence is in her sleeping bag with ice cream watching the tablet and mh is making noise....I mean music in his room before bedtime.
People across the street are having a party, I assume it is something football related and there are cars parked all along both sides of the street. Including a spot between our driveway and the neighbors that isn't wide enough for a car, so it is partially blocking driveways. I'm annoyed by it.

So I'm hoping that maybe if I g that route they'll have another avenue besides going through our insurance. I’m a pro here... Early intervention is for birth till 3 years. Once they turn three the local school district takes over. You can self refer or a dr can refer you. I don’t think it makes a difference how you get referred. They will do an evaluation to see if he qualifies for services. If he does, they will then set up the services. In our case, we had a referral from the hospital before we even got discharged from the NICU. The service coordinator called me and set up the evaluation. But her diagnosis automatically qualified her. Then they set up the services. We paid a monthly “participation” fee that was minimal....I think $30 a month. It was income based. But I wasn’t working at the time so that played in our favor for a cheaper price. That covered all services provided regardless of how often they can. Once she turned 3 she transitioned to the school district. It was all set up by the EI service coordinator. We all met and developed the IEP. Then the school took over services...the services are free once in the school system.
