Labor Day Weekend Thread

Happy weekend ladies! I'm up to GD early.

I woke at 5:30. How come I cant drag my ass out of bed at that time during the week, when I NEED to be up, but naturally wake at this time on weekends?

Morning! Dh left for the day to go to a music festival, so it’s a solo day for me. Groceries and errands this morning and meeting a friend and her kids this afternoon.

This is where I am. So sad.
We’re taking the kids to the Home Depot workshop this morning, and I have to go to the post office bc Charlie’s feet magically grey overnight and the new sevens I bought don’t fit.

I drank too much wine last night and got my period, so I’m feeling super shitty this morning.

I’m getting my hair done at 9:30. Will pick up my friend’s farm share because she’s out of town, then tonight we’ll grill.

We are going to Ireland in two weeks and we haven’t planned the trip. So we’ll probably do that today. Luckily last night i was out with my friend and her mom and grandma who are visiting from Dublin, so her mom is going to text me her recs later today. She was awesome. She even offered to pick us up from the airport. 🍀

I’m up and irritable. Today we have my work friends sons birthday party which should be fun. Hopefully I can snap out of my mood before then.

Good morning! I just finally got caught up on yesterday’s thread. Going to sleep last night was rough, I fought H’s cold and I think my non-drowsy sudafed was keeping me awake/not letting me get into a deep sleep. I got to work and found out I’m training again today 👎🏻. Yesterday I ended up taking H to the doctor and she does have an EI (as I suspected) so 10 days of antibiotics for her. We went to a friend’s last night and grilled out at their house, not much longer of summer temps so we better take advantage while we still can. When I get off work I plan to take a nice long nap.

Sorry for the false alarm/worry last night flamingo, but hey, now you don’t have to cancel all the things! Did they finish up your pool yesterday?

And...I can’t remember anything else but good vibes to all who need them.

snoopmommymom, are you taking the littles to Ireland? My family is going to Scotland next month and we really wanted to go but they were organizing a lot of tours that had a minimum age of 8yo. I didn’t want to take another trip this year w out the kids, so I told mh no. He’s been super disappointed about it.

Eta- omg, THIS month. Because as we already covered, it’s freaking September.

So exciting, you will love it! We really enjoyed our trip. Are you taking the kids? 

If kid-free, I have one recommendation (well, I have others, but I'm sure a native's will be most helpful)...check out the band J90 music. They play in Cork, Killarney and other cities in the southern half of the country. We heard them play in Killarney and it was our favorite night of the entire trip, they were SO much fun. It was totally random that we ended up seeing them, but if we go back anytime soon I would stalk them to see them again.

DH is home, you forget how nice it is to have that second set of hands. B came in to our room this morning (not knowing he was home) and when he saw H sit up in bed he got a huge smile on his face and practically flew onto the bed. Cutest thing ever. C is a bit stand-offish, my H is normally her favorite but b/n the Maine trip and this, we've been separated a lot lately so it might take her a bit to warm up.

No major plans today; cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and I think we're going to be mostly watching football today, and I need to get my crock-pot pulled pork going. Boat food is kind of terrible so I don't think H has eaten anything but salad and cereal for the last two weeks.

How the F is it September, indeed. We have to load up the car so we can set up at the stadium in a couple hours. Then I’ll come home for a few hours before heading back that way to start selling. But coffee first. Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday!

Morning! Just another work day here. But it’s our last big weekend for the season. I’m ready for the tourists to go home! Lol.

September is hydrocephalus awareness month. So I’m sorry to all my FB friends that may see a lot of posts from me about hydro. Lol.

I woke up to noise in the kitchen at 6:30. I thought it must be my H getting home from his trip early, like maybe he woke in motn and could not sleep so finished his trip...nope...it was S! Either I didn’t get her door latched last night or she’s figured out the child door knob.

Matthew ran out to check on the bunnies first thing and ran back in excited "chocolate chip went all the way down the ramp to the grass and we're so proud of her!" So sweet.

A's cousin passed away last week so he has the funeral today. I dont have a sitter so I'm home with the boys. My friend is coming over later to sit with them so I can get some painting done.

My mom is bringing the girls home today! MH and I did a bunch of unpacking last night so its almost done.

I can't wait to see my kiddos. We're having a girls night and going to the Rod Stewart and Cindy Laupner concert tonight. I saw RS years ago and he puts on a great show. I didn't realize there's a Dave and Buster's and outlet mall near the venue so I think we'll make a day of it.

Morning from the bounce house place! I bailed on my race and just ran close to home. DH is heading to his parents' house to work on the Murphy bed later, so we're trying to get some energy out now. There's thankfully no one else here, because the boys are loud today.

Morning all! Just picking up the house a bit before the ILs arrive this afternoon. Hoping to finish priming the basement as soon as H goes down for a nap Since it did not get done last night. Not much else going on here.

Hello! We are having 4 families over to BBQ today for our last weekend of summer. C slept for 0 minutes last night. I’m praying when school starts he will get into a better routine.

Morning! Dh got home late last night, but I’m so happy he’s back! He took C around 6:30 and let me sleep until 8:30 and had waffles and mimosas waiting for breakfast!

Not much here today, I think we will just hang at the pool all day and then do takeout and a movie tonight.

Cadence started her 101 class today. She did so good. She listened, she didn't run around like a lunatic. It was great.

Now we're just waiting for swim class. Mh is supposed to go to the store today and he said something about watching football. He doesn't even like football. Whatever.

I may take Cadence to the park or something to run off some energy. I don't want her on the tablet all day

I dropped off 2 boxes of toys this morning at gw. And that was just what was in the living room!

I may move my bedroom furniture around to try and maximize more space.

Do it! I did our playroom on Thursday and it made such a difference. It’s a good-sized room but the furniture placement was not doing it any favors; now I feel like we doubled our floor space, AND I don’t have toys in the sightline of the front door anymore.

I did this a few weeks ago, and it did make a ton of difference, but I have a bunch of toys that I have to keep on the tops of the canvas square shelves and that’s right in my view when we’re our in the deck. No idea what to do with them except probably a good will trip around December.
