We stopped using a stroller around 18m. I think we only actually used it about 20 times. I just wore her, carried her or she walked. We will get another stroller for this one but I doubt we will use it a whole lot. If we had kids closer in age I'm sure we would have needed to use it much more.

Y’all this is bizarre. Currently have pool guy AND HIS DAD working in my backyard. It’s 9 pm and pitch black outside, I turned on the outside lights (which are pretty meager) and they have some flashlights.
We’ve gone from 1 extreme to the other 🤦🏻♀️ and I’m awkwardly hiding out in my house worrying that I’ve cost this guy his job.

Don't blame yourself that some guy decided to waste time and got himself in trouble.

I always recommend this! So many kids have meltdowns because parents refuse to let their little kids use strollers. I haven't been to Disney in forever, but can't imagine doing it without a stroller! I didn’t use one for M and she was fine.

Either way, it's not really my fault. And I have no clue if he would even be here tonight if I hadn't called and sent the email. tallb Yeah, his boss (the CEO, by her email signature--although, her email address is "hotubn@aol" sooo....I use the term "CEO" loosely) is supposed to touch base with me in the a.m. so I will be sure and be complementary at that time. Damn. Why does DH have to miss all the fun??

Y'all, as God as my witness, our next house will not have a pool and I will never bother you guys with this stuff again.
I need wine.

flamingo I'm glad they sent someone out today. This weekend, when you are sitting in a cleaned up back yard, you wont give a shit about that guy. I can assure you, I could have cared less when our tile guy was here til 7:30 on a friday. Finish the fucking job you are being paid to do. So preschool open house went as planned...evie wouldn't talk to or play with any of the other kids. She said there were too many people, she was tired, etc. She just clung to me while the other kids played. Tuesday will be a shit show.

It can be so overwhelming, all the kids and parents and noise. I was ready to run screaming from the toddler room tonight. Hopefully Tuesday will be better and she will settle in quickly.

I am just catching up, but a vehement NO to these shoes. My sister's kids wear them exclusively and they SQUEAK. Like on purpose! Who invented squeaking toddler shoes? Someone who hates parents...that's who. My sister had a pair picked out for Bea's 1st birthday and I shut. It. Down.

The rash from the poison sumac has still been developing. I hope it's done, there's a lot more than I first thought and I am quickly losing my sanity.

A person wrote a one star review about those squeaky shoes because "they are dangerous because they attract dogs". Omg. That's exactly what it sounds like too...squeak squeak squeak.
I am envisioning a pack of dogs chasing a toddler down the street.

I'm glad you said it because I thought they were cute and was going to investigate. DNW a squeaky shoe. My kids make enough irritating sounds all on their own.

I need help. We are taking LO to see his first movie in a theatre. We have two options. The traditional one or the one with the reclining chairs and food service. WWN13 do!

Also I won’t be taking the kids to a restaurant by myself again for awhile. LO was a terror. I don’t know how I’m going to survive.

We still haven't made it through a whole movie but I feel this increases your odds of success, especially since L likes to be very physical he will want the bigger seating space.

chrisy01 my hesitation with recliners would be, if L is strong enough (and persistent enough) to want to “open” and “close” the chair the entire time—distracting to y’all and other patrons. I’ve actually never been to a theater like that so maybe I’m imagining it differently than reality. We’ve taken B to at least 6 or 7 movies in a normal theater and he has always done well. I know it’s kid-dependent but it can be done

chrisy01 food and comfy chairs. But, check the menu first and make sure there are things he will eat. Also, go at a time where there will be other kids, that way if he makes noise it isn't a huge deal.

chrisy01, I lean to the nicer theatre. I think kids can rise to the occasion of behaving better if a place is a little more special.

chrisy01 we’ve taken ds to the cinema during regular shows, during which he did great. Our cinema also has special kids showing. Those are great, the sound is a little less loud, lights aren’t complete out and there are only families with kids. So if you can find one of those!

Definitely the reclining chairs. I took m to one without and he had to sit on my lap. The chair kept closing up on him. They're just a button so its quiet and not a distraction.

Like tgrimes there are a few kids that do ok. But a lot don’t. You got to know your kid. But if you get there at 700a and stay to midnight you can’t expect a 4yo to not want to rest/nap or not get cranky.

She fell asleep at dinner so I just had to carry her to the tram to get back to the parking garage. She didn't complain about walking at all. Now if I ever take H, I'll have to take a stroller until he's 10 because that kid just wants to be carried. Lol.

For us what we end up doing is just a couple hours a day. LO knows when we go that we are leaving by lunch. He also knows he cannot asked to be carried on those days. On those days we don’t take a stroller. But if my parents are here or it’s an all day Disneyland day, we will take the stroller.
