inthekitty not insane at all! We still use our heavy duty stroller a lot on long outing, ds and dd alternate or I have dd in a carrier. I would buy a new umbrella stroller, you can always resell or donate it after your done .

My sister reconnected with a guy she went to HS with at her 10 year reunion. Her and I lived in Denver at the time. He flew out to visit for a weekend and then suddenly she decided she missed home and wanted to move back (yeah right). So essentially she kind of did the same thing. They ended up getting pregnant, engaged and then she decided she couldn’t be a farmers wife and broke it off. crazy.

My baby sister went to Norway for two weeks to volunteer at a campground when she was 18. After those two weeks, she came back for a week, broke up with her boyfriend, went back to Norway for a guy she met during those first two weeks... this was 7 years ago, they’re still really happy together.

inthekitty we use the stroller a lot too. At fairs, in the mall, dr offices in the hospital, zoo, ect. I recently got the pocket stroller. I love it! It was a little pricey but I’m happy with it. It’s meant for older/bigger kids.

Strollers 4lyfe.
Dude still wants to use one sometimes, and X is 35 pounds of clumsy toddler so we're probably going to have them for a long time. Thank goodness P loves being in the carrier.

Cadence would love to continue using her stroller. Her favorite part is when you are walking and she suddenly puts her feet down to try and make you flip entirely over the stroller head first. We have since vetoed all use of the stroller. She has legs and will use them....until she gets tired, then mh carries her. LOL

I can't even remember the last time we used a stroller...I gave them away a year ago probably. But Evie never really was a big fan, if she could be touching all the shit I tell her not to.
And guys, my husband's hives are coming back on his arms. He's determined to ruin the holiday weekend. He reintroduced his heart meds as well as 2 of the diet supplements we were taking, although I don't think the supplements are the same as what he had been taking before it started. I told him to stop the supplements, but keep taking the heart meds and see if it gets any better after a few days. If not, stop the heart meds and see what happens. I'm no looking forward to laying super low all weekend because he can't handle the sun/heat.

If we go places they typically walk and take turns sitting on the front section of our Bob stroller while A is in it. L would use the stroller more on outings, but I don't have a double that works with a carseat and it's too hot to wear A

We still use the stroller for B all the time - it's just easier to keep him contained. S often asks to get in and 99 times out of 100 I say no, but occassionally, if B really wants to be out and exploring, or it is not too hot to carry him, we will let him. But that's not often.

All this stroller talk has made me realize we don't do many outings. If we go to the store, H sits in the cart.

It’s not appendicitis!! I guess it’s some kind of viral infection that’s enlarging the lymph nodes? I don’t really know, but surgery is off the table, although the are still running tests at the hospital.
Did I tell you guys I have to coach soccer again tonight? I’m seriously taking a ten hour nap when dh gets back this weekend.

We walked everywhere on vacation - miles a day - and didn't even pack a stroller. Chase ditched it so early because he wants to be just like Colin. He's more than mildly insulted on the rare occasions we pull it out and it is... not fun. We regularly go on 1-2 mile walks on the trail by our house. It can be slow but both boys are game and it gets some energy out.

Just this week (and just just barely) do I trust Charlie to walk without holding my hand or, if it’s a bigger outing, use the stroller. He is fast and he is over interested in everything.

tgrimes, or anyone else, but I know you are the queen of freezer meals... I am trying to eat healthier and breakfast is a big issue for me. I am thinking if I can make some sort of healthy egg muffin thing to freeze and just pop in toaster/microwave while giving the kids breakfast in the AM that would help. Problem is, I am picky... I don't like sausage, peppers or mushrooms which seem to be staple of a lot that I've found. Do you have any good, easy recipes you'd recommend? I live for the carb life but I had to change. Every evening I scramble two eggs, add in an ounce of chedder cheese and put it in a container to take to work. I heat it up for aprox 40 seconds and it’s breakfast. And funny enough a couple weeks in it started keeping me full from eating 8:30 to 12 lunchtime.

A girl I work with used to bring an escarole soup to work with an egg (still in its shell). She’ warm up the soup in the micro so it was super hot, and then crack the egg in it to add the protein.

I use my stroller all the time. I’m glad it’s a convertible so I have options. H rides occasionally but I sometimes use it as punishment if she’s not listening. I got a standing board recently for the back and both girls like standing on that. 90% of the time s wants to be in the stroller or be carried so I take it pretty much everywhere.

We use a stroller when we do all day at a Disneyland, mall, or somewhere new. Lo’s a runner so this helps me contain him a little bit. I pray E is not as active as LO.

I’m super annoyed at my PCP. I messaged through the ports last night that my CT scan was negative and asked for a Lyme test or anything else for the fevers. I get a call from his receptionist asking if I can come in tomorrow to see him and discuss. No way! I was just in two weeks ago to discuss the same thing. Why on earth would I need to go in again? My physical is the same and it’s the same exact issue! I told her all of this and she said she would send a message to the Dr.

We only use a stroller in Disney. I always recommend this! So many kids have meltdowns because parents refuse to let their little kids use strollers.

I'm planning a Disney trip now and I definitely plan to rent a stroller there. I think I'm going to use one of the stroller rental services so I can get a fanceh City Mini GT with a glider board for Maddie. They are officially both too big for our Joovy sit and stand that we had on our last trip and it was like pushing them through sand. Otherwise it's rarely used--mostly just for stuff like festivals. I never bring it on walks because they ride their bikes. That's why it's so annoying MH destroyed the other one. It'd be great to have it for the fair because we'll likely be out all day. I might pick one up at the store.

Hi. Back from orientation, both kids' teachers seem great and we should have a good year. And no supply lists--woohoo! The registration fee covered everything.
So the toddler room was particularly chaotic, b/c while there are only 5 students/per class, multiply that by 5 days/week, and some families felt the need to bring Grandma and Grandpa along. Apparently this is a UO at our preschool, but c'mon folks, you do not need an entourage to see a cubby and fill out an Emergency Contact card. Seriously, there were groups of 3 or 4 adults, plus a toddler, plus an older sibling or two. WTF, people. These classrooms are only so big! #PreschoolScrooge
Pool update: I called again at 2:30 and she was still in a meeting. Seriously. Finally at 4:30 or so, I sent a very polite email with pics explaining my concerns and asking for a phone call or email. She called me while I was at orientation, and reply to my email. The guy is here now. They are now saying the work will be done by Friday. I still won't believe it til I see it, but at least someone is here working for a change.

C still uses the stroller but B hasn't since before she was born. I would consider borrowing or renting a double for Disney b/c it's such a long day, but it would depend on his age at that point--he's pretty go-go-go and I could see him not being interested in one at all. C increasingly wants to walk--which is not so delightful at places like Target. She is easier to confine in the stroller than a cart, b/c she can undo most shopping cart straps, but at Target or the grocery store you usually need a cart. So, it's basically a fight every time. She has great stamina and did 2 mile hike up in Maine, it's more her getting into anything within 5' of ground level

We got what we needed to finish the bunny hutch after dropping M at the sitters. But I had some we work to do so H took it upon himself to finish it without me. Now he's pissed that I'm not happy with it because he didn't do it right. At all. I'm pissed that my bunny hutch is wrong and not talking to him. I was right inside. All he would of had to do was ask.

Instead he's making excuses and slamming tools and sighing all dramatic like I'm being unreasonable. When he knows I've had a specific plan in mind the whole time. He just didnt bother to ask.
