Hi!
Pretty day here, and the kids slept til 7:30 so I’m happy.
Our backyard is still a mess and I have no clue if the pool crew is coming back today. Hoping this will be wrapped up soon.
We’re going out for breakfast and then potty training will officially commence 🙌🏻 Pray for me.

Morning! My parents want to go to Disneyland again so that’s where we are headed. It’s CHOC’s Walk in the Park event on Sunday so we won’t be going then. Way too crowded.
10 more days until LO goes to school, E goes to DC and my first day back to work.

J still won't put any weight on his leg this morning. I'm guessing by the way he fell and what part he hit that he bruised the bone. But they can't do anything for that. Idk what to do though. He cries every time he stands.

Morning! N is still asleep and DH is gone in to work for a few hours. This afternoon we have to go to BIL’s for our nieces birthday party but hopefully we won’t stay too late... the mosquitoes are terrible up there. flamingo, good luck on potty training today!

peachsmama I would make it a lay on the couch day and have the foot elevated and ice it every so often. Elevation and ice are really the only thing you can do.

peachsmama, because he won’t bare any weight on it I would probably bring him in and have it looked at.

Morning! DH left for his parents'house and we're waiting for my parents to get here. The boys are total terrors today, so this should be fun. At least my Mom will engage with them, so it'll be easier than if I wear solo. That's if they ever get here...

Morning! I've been up since 3:45am with L. She's obviously a cranky mess. Really hoping for a nap soon. Of course it's a rainy stormy day.

My dad is picking C up to go fishing in a few mins. Then we are all meeting back up at my cousins daughters 1st birthday party. It’s a pool party by her other side of the family are all super models so I’m not swimming. I told C he will likely swim alone but having Dh bring his suit in case. We have another pool party tomorrow so I told Dh I can be the point person then.

He cries every time he stands. Somehow I missed what happened originally, but is there any way this could be a toddler fracture? They are hairline spiral cracks; I had no clue C could have broken her leg from the way she fell back in December, but she wouldn't put weight on hers and that was what clued us in that something was wrong. Sure enough...a walking boot for Christmas. They are super common at his age. I'd take him in for X-rays JIC.

He was kicking a ball at the park and his foot went up on the ball and he fell on the concrete. The way he landed I thought he broke his arm. It was sprawled out behind him and he wouldn't get up. But once I sat him up he moved his arm fine. But couldn't put weight on his leg. He's putting a little weight now but holding onto stuff to walk and just barely putting weight on it. Idk. A thinks I'm over reacting..

Morning! Dh and n are making breakfast, I’m still in bed and h is still asleep. Kids are going to my parents again for the night and we have an adult slip n slide party at a friends house this afternoon. Lol. It ended up being a lot more fun than i thought it would last year so I’m looking forward to it.

A thinks I'm over reacting.. I mean, C fell on carpet in her room. My H and I were right there, I thought she would immediately pop back up. I'm really not trying to be an alarmist and I am not one to rush to the doctor at every sniffle, but to me this sounds like it's worth checking out. The fact that it's a day later and still bothering him is a red flag to me. I had several friends reach out to me after C broke her leg with stories about their kids (mostly boys) at similar ages having the same thing happen...it's super common. A doctor will be able to manipulate his foot and ankle and tell if something is wrong, even if an X-ray doesn't show it (b/c often times with a toddler fracture you won't be able to see the crack until it's started to heal). I hope it's nothing--I would love to be wrong!

He’s not comfortable with it but said I could. He did say if I did end up being an alcoholic that he couldn’t be around for that because of the safety issue it would cause with C (I.e. drunk driving). In the end it’s not worth putting my family in jeopardy if there’s a chance it could be a problem for me. So I’m not drinking and I’m ok with that. I feel like we’ve been closer since talking about it too.

Good morning. We had fun at the boardwalk last night. BIL, SIL, and my 17 year old nephew met us so my nephew took the big kids on the big rides. DD who until this year got car sick insisted on going on the gravitron and loved it. There was construction on the way home though so we didn’t get back until midnight. Tonight I have my 3 nephews overnight and tomorrow DD is having her first sleepover with a friend at our house. DS never wanted sleepovers and only sleeps at my sisters. DD has been begging so we are staring with a girl who lives 3 houses away who we have been friends with the parents since before we all had kids.

peachsmama I’d also get the leg checked out. I sent my once 3 year old to school with a broken arm before I knew.

Getting dressed to take him in. If it's nothing, wouldn't be the first time a mother over reacted lol.

He cries every time he stands. Where exactly is he saying it hurts? I err on the side of caution with these things because I walked around on a broken foot for 10 days before my parents finally took me to the dr. They kept telling me not to limp and to shake it off. I was 13 so I definitely could tell them I was really hurt... Pretty sure I broke something in my foot when I was 3 and tripped over my blanket, too. It’s probably nothing and would be a waste of time to take him in, but I’d still do it. ETA I see your taking him in. I hope we’re all overreacting.

I think it's his shinbone. And that's where it was purple when he hit yesterday and it's got a bruise today.
