Thursday evening. He gave me the biggest hug ever. Then asked to go back to my parents house or Disneyland.

Little shits! C does the same stuff when I come back from being away. Either super excited then brushes me off or totally ignores me.

I’m sure LO is happy to be back though. It will be a transition but a good one.

We just got home from the pool party. It was a lot of fun and my cousin is half Portuguese and her husband is full so they had lots of Portuguese food. I overdid it on pork and clams but it was worth it!

C had a blast in the pool and the bounce house and neither of us swam with him. He’s really good and we felt comfortable just sitting on the sidelines.

He also caught three fish with my dad this morning.


Dh wants to have him nap but it’s so late in the day I think that’s a bad idea.

The beach was a total wash. We got in the car and the GPS told us it was an hour drive. Within 20 minutes, it was saying 3+ hours. We kept going and by the time we hit the actual slowdown, we were no where near an exit. 2 1/2 hours later, we were able to get off the highway finally but we had less than 10 miles to go but an estimated additional 90+ minutes. We turned around and got home in just over an hour. All in all, we were in the car for almost 4 hours!

The boys were pretty good about it. Colin had gotten really frustrated with the traffic and was disappointed about not getting to the beach, but the promise of lunch and the backyard bounce house helped. The whole thing was exhausting and disappointing, but everyone was fine.

Also my Dad googled and there was a fatal accident with an ejected passenger... So a traffic jam didn't seem so bad.

Hi hi - I took both kids to a bday party for a new classmate and j was the only one in his class invited I think? The rest were from the younger class, so it was a bit different than our usual party circuit. It was a splash pad/ park party and it did have nice bathrooms. I brought both kids and it was exhausting. Both promptly fell asleep and I drove around like 8 houses I've looked at online. MH is at a ball game and we may go to the pool when he's home, and I think I'll do my one instapot meal tonight.

peachsmama I'm sorry about J! Also- The urgent care place should have known that about getting a cast... especially if they do splints. That is standard practice.

Happppppy weekend!!

Turns out I love Giovanna's teacher this year. She's super nice and even plans class get togethers on the weekends sometimes. Today it was at the park... it's super nice because it gives the parents the opportunity to meet which makes playdates and everything much easier.

My mom and my aunt are coming to town next weekend for G's 8th birthday. It's a surprise. I'm interested to see how my mom is going to be. She was not supportive or helpful at all during our move because she didn't want us to move. Also, I got a new car so she will probably have something to say about that since I didn't really NEED a new car. But, BYE minivan!

I got a Lexus GX 460. Not brand new. I was anxious about it because now we will have a car payment again for a little bit MH talked me into it. I really didn't like driving a van anyway.

My nephews are here. DD was playing at the neighbors but came home because her friend threw up. I’m crossing everything that she’s not bringing that home. Can I give my kid red wine?

The blind wine tasting party! Funny enough the same friends are hosting both, which is ironic because they’re not the most fun people, just love for people to have a good time!

Just about ready for round 2 of slip in slide. We won best of 7 the first round 💪. Slightly (or pretty) drunk already.

The sund finally came out when we started playing so it’s a beautiful day!

I loved the doors that open with a button. That’s about it. They are convenient when you need space or need to drive more people but that’s like basically never for me.

DH got a call from his dad that his grandma was brought to the ER. She’s in her 90s, so who knows what could be going on. FIL is out of town so DH’s aunt is up at the hospital.
