I had a session with my personal trainer (it's actually affordable here in South Africa) and he told me to be prepared to be extremely sore tomorrow. Ouch.
Apparently the diplomatic pouch had a serious backlog in getting packages here and there are a crazy amount of boxes to be claimed. Heading over to pick up our pile (probably mostly Amazon purchases) in an hour. Christmas in August over here.

So tired. One good thing about R and H being roomies is that H gets him to get dressed in the morning while he’s getting ready for work. It makes it nice having one less thing to deal with in the mornings. I just have to pack his lunch, feed him (if he doesn’t eat with H) and off we go!

Dh and I have plans to go to a concert tonight and the baby is sick. So far just sleeping a lot and a low grade temp.

Today is my last day at work until 9/6 and it is all meetings, so the day will fly.
I don't know who is more excited for Disney in two days, DH and I or the kids.

My H just left for his fathers with all the kids and the dog. I am on my own until next Monday!!

Guys...Ok DS was stung right by his eye by a yellow jacket Sunday evening & it's been swollen shut ever since. I took him to urgent care yesterday & they said just keep the benadryl/ibuprofen going & it will eventually go down.
This morning it was still swollen, not quite as bad but definitely still noticeably swollen. I gave him ibuprofen & sent him to school because he is otherwise FINE, but he was not happy about going (but hes never happy about getting up in the mornings & is usually fine as soon as he gets on the bus).
Now I'm doing that thing where you second guess yourself for all the reasons. Should I have kept him home until the swelling went away? It seems silly, he is fine otherwise, says it doesn't hurt & just feels weird where its swollen

I got up and am about to put the second coat of paint on my basement floor. It is these big wooden tiles that click together and really need to get this done so I can paint the walls and then start putting my library together again.
All this before I even have my coffee, but as soon as I finish them I can reward myself with a couple of leisurely cups! ☕☕

I walk my kid to the door to avoid the carline. Even with getting two kids out of car seats, it’s so much faster than waiting in that blasted line.

I don't know who is more excited about having a school bus here- me or the girls exactly because of the blasted car line. She could take the bus, but it comes at 6:15, so that’s a nope. Thankfully dropoff is much better than pickup, and I won’t be picking up except Fridays because she’ll go to after school care. |
