We have the daycare plague but I’m hoping it’s at the end!
Can we talk about high chairs and other “baby holders”? We have the ikea wooden high chair but it doesn’t match our decor anymore so I need to decide to paint or replace it.
And if anyone has suggestions for managing insane breastfeeding hunger, I’ll take it. I’m legit gaining weight despite working out and trying to eat healthy. I’m just starving all. The. Time.

We have a Bumbo because I bought one back before I knew much about babies so we might use that once he can sit up. We want to get one of the high chair seats that clips on a table because we have NO extra floor space.
I know drinking water is not at all satisfying when you're breastfeeding starving, but are you for sure getting enough liquid? That might be just a small thing that could help a bit.

We have this high chair, but we haven’t even taken it out of the box. Graco Blossom 6-in-1 Convertible High Chair Seating System, Studio www.amazon.com/dp/B00OACOBGI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_inCCBbXFY2K92I was hoping for something more simple that didn’t scream “baby gear”, but this one seemed pretty practical and had good reviews from friends. We also have a bumbo, but it’s not my favorite right now. Maybe it’s because L always seems to want to grab what’s on the floor next to it instead of what’s on the tray. He leans over so much and gets all tilted to one side and can’t sit back up straight again. Idk. I reaallyyy love the skip hop activity center we have. It entertains L for quite a while and he loves it too. It comes with a few toys, but it also has extra space that you can add more suction cups toys to so that’s nice. m.buybuybaby.com/m/product/skip-hop-reg-explore-more-3-stage-activity-center/1060101693

Also... no hunger management tips here. I have the constant BFing munchies too and I basically snack all day. I’ve been trying to have healthy snacks on hand so I can eat those instead of always grabbing chocolate (my one true love), but sometimes chocolate wins. 🤷🏼♀️ It’s certainly not helping my belly flab, but it’s so hard to say no.

I’m getting the Fischer price space saver. It’s a booster seat and a tray. We had it for DD and liked it. My dining room is pretty small, so I’m glad to not have a big high chair.

We had a conventional graco one with DS that I hated. Too big, bulky and had a gazillion little crevices for food to get stuck in. I went minimalist this time with the Zobo summit and really like it. The only thing I'm not fond of is that it doesn't have a 5 point harness, which isn't ideal right now since she slumps a bit when she gets tired. But that's a short lived problem.

We have this from when DD was small, I just pulled it out a few weeks ago and now O can join us at the table while we eat dinner. It declines and I usually just set a couple toys out for him😊 We also have the activity center clementine posted, I haven’t pulled it out yet but I think he’s going to love it!

We have the sit me up which we take with is out and about to other peoples houses etc. Our high chair (pic below) is in the garage as it takes up too much room and is a bitch to clean (our house is on the market). I also feel it’s more a toddler high chair? DS1 couldn’t really reach the tray properly until he was 18 months. I plan to get my lazy arse to ikea for the white plastic high chair as soon as our house sells (hopefully this weekend 🤞🏻)

First tooth over here! I can see a tiny slit on his bottom gums with just a little white showing through. I’m not surprised with all the extreme chewing he’s been doing the past few days, but I wasn’t really prepared. My baby has a tooth. He was just a newborn like yesterday!

I couldn’t reuse DS’s peg perego high chair so just ordered the cheap ikea one since it’s easy to clean. We haven’t started solids yet so idk how I like it yet.
I was counting calories and such but have stopped. I find not snacking in the evening helps me weight wise. I’m too tired to care anymore.

Fuck breastfeeding though. I’m starving all the time. It’s maddening.

My little girl had pureed carrots today! First taste of solids. DH pulled some out of the garden and I cooked them up at dinner. She liked them 😊

clementine we have that high chair and we’ve used for all three and it’s great. It easy to take as a booster to somebody’s house and change settings. Easy to clean. ETA: DH is losing weight and I’m all noom noom noom

Anyone have experience with rice cereal? 4tm here who’s never given cereal. Pedi recommended it since ds cried so much at night and wakes every two hours. It’s suppose to help settle his tummy, but honestly he has been crying more in the evenings he’s gets it. His tummy is less dumbly though. So idk what to do.

I don't know how much it calmed his reflux though. I think it just being heavier made him puke less than just having milk. We were never told to give it early to calm his tummy ( sorry I don't remember how old your LO is). Part of me feels like this is an educated guess by your pedi with the hope that it works.

+1i to the always being hungry. I feel like nothing satisfies me so I keep eating. It shouldn't be a surprise that I have lost no weight despite working out.

Baby is 4 months We didn't star until 6 months and we had already sleep trained so I am not sure.l if it helped with his sleep. I think I have suppressed all of the reflux memories. I do remember that I still nursed 1-2 times a night until he was a year though.

Noelle's spit up is getting out of control. And like, whenever we're around other people they always rush to clean it up where as I'm like "why bother, more is going to come in about two minutes". I seriously had to change shirts 3 times before going to work out yesterday, and then when I got home she soaked the one I finally ended up wearing.
The doctor said just to cut back on the formula we were giving her, but that doesn't seem to be helping at all. But she seems happy so I don't know how much I should worry or push it?
Maybe just deal with washing clothes ALL THE TIME.
Oh, and our washer broke. Womp.

I’m so sleepy. J decided 2 was a good time to wake this morning for a midnight snack. I think he’s going through a growth spurt... he’s wanting to eat all the time.

The baby woke up 30min early this morning and threw my whole routine off 🤦🏼♀️ And it totally feels like it should be Thursday already! Sorry about your washer cornpop. Our dryer broke when O was 2 weeks old and it sucked. Hoping you guys can find a new one quickly!

I don’t bother changing our clothes that frequently either because the next short will just get soaked and I do not want more laundry. Now that I am back to work I put my shirt on as close to leaving the house as possible. I always warn everybody that L is a big spitter and most people are okay with it. L seems happy too so I am just dealing with it. I am sorry about the broken washer...that sounds rough.

I bought a cheap high chair for DS1 and am using the same one for DS2. I have put DS2 in it once. It doesn’t have shoulder straps so he slouches or leans to the side in it. I will use it more when he is better at sitting up. We also have a hand me down high chair seat that straps to the regular chair. We will use that once I am sick of having the high chair in the kitchen.

I’m so tired of being covered in spit up all the time. I can’t wait for it to end. It’s exhausting.
