Weighted in this morning...down 1.6. I worked really hard this week at drinking water. It was a crazy busy week and I had a few events with lots of snacks.
But more important then the scale #, was that I went to the store for an outfit to wear for graduation. I bought pants that were 2 sizes smaller then I bought last time. I also brought 2 shirts into the dressing room...L and XL. Tried on the L first and it fit! I had so many compliments from people about how good I looked. Definitely feels good.

I did a great job staying on track this weekend. I didn't track everything I ate, but I hit my protein goals and made healthy choices so I'm not sweating it. Saturday I did C25K in the morning and a shoulder workout in the afternoon. Yesterday I mowed the lawn and then hauled 70 pounds worth of children in the burley for 20 minutes. Which I will probably never do again....

So...my plans got derailed for this weekend. We ended up kid-free on Saturday night and decided to take a road trip to see one of our favorite bands. I didn't track my food/drink for yesterday and Saturday until this morning. It's pretty bad. I used about 25 of my weeklies on Friday because of a planned dinner out...which means I used 75 Fit Points. I see no issue staying on track for this week & so far we have no plans for the weekend. I'd like to keep it that way. The plan for today: B: Peanut butter cup overnight oats (they weren't as good as I wanted them to be), coffee & cream 7 points S: fruit, cottage cheese 2 pts L: Tuna, veggies, special K chips 3 points S: veggies and greek yogurt dip 2 points D: Still thinking about it. I had planned salmon but didn't prep it last night. I'll update when I figure it out.

I signed up for weight watchers! I'm not trying to get SO to do it with me since his eating is out of control and it would be nice to do this together. I definitely need to plan my meals for the week. Breakfast wasn't bad but I got in the habit of making "lattes" by foaming whole milk and using regular coffee. Those are unnecessary points to use.
I had avocado toast with an over easy egg. I squeezed some lemon and sprinkle salt, pepper, and crush red pepper flakes. I used butter to fry the pan and will lose the butter next time. I got on the butter kick when I read an article about butter being good for you. I think I went a little over zealous with it after reading the health benefits.
My plan is to get the bbg workout in when the girl goes to sleep and hit 10k steps today. Keep it up!

Followed the meal plan well last week, but weekends still give me trouble. Not too much though because I'm now down 13lbs total! 🙌🏻 This means I'm only 17 away from my first goal and I'm feeling great.

I've been on vacation and while I think I've done better than past vacations, I'm a little scared to weigh tomorrow. I did get in lots of steps but I didn't drink as much water as I should have.

I did well again yesterday. I drank my detox water yesterday & have it again today (it's for water weight, so it mostly makes me pee a lot) and I got to the gym. Weigh in day tomorrow. The plan for today: B: overnight oats (leftover from yesterday) coffee w/ almond milk 9 pts S: fruit & cottage cheese 2 pts L: salad w/ chicken, banana 7 pts S: veggies & greek yogurt dip 1 pt D: skinny taste chicken parm & riced cauliflower (I put a little marinara & parm cheese on it, kind of like spaghetti squash) S: I'll have 4 points left for something after my workout.
What's everyone else eating today?

I'm doing pretty good on this WW thing. I was really good at a birthday party this weekend and shared my cake slice with ds. I totally thought I was way over points but when I put them in I found I want that bad. I had lots of salty things last week due to period cravings. But I'm down 10# now!

Second attempt at a skinny taste recipe, second time being seriously unimpressed. I hear so many good things! Recommend something foolproof? I'm not a totally incompetent cook but these are coming out completely boring at best. I don't eat pork or lamb, but otherwise I am pretty flexible.

I'm not a totally incompetent cook but these are coming out completely boring at best. I don't eat pork or lamb, but otherwise I am pretty flexible. I've made this twice so far & it's delish. 5 sp per serving. I had it with riced cauliflower (the frozen kind, ain't nobody got time to DIY) with sauce & parm cheese over it. Total of 8 sp. for a filling dinner. I actually had the leftovers last night and will do the same again tonight. The 1st time I made it I left many pieces of chicken without sauce & cheese for better tasting leftovers and so my kids would eat the plain breaded chicken.

I also made this last week. It was good, but just a little bland. Next time I will only add 1/2 a can of chicken broth and for the tomatoes do 1/2 the canned w/ chili's (per recipe) and 1/2 hot salsa. www.skinnytaste.com/crock-pot-santa-fe-chicken-425-pts/

Weigh in day today. I lost 3 lbs! So I guess I didn't do too much damage over the weekend. But either way, I need to do better this weekend. The plan for today: B: egg w/ 1 egg white, light English muffin, coffee w/ almond milk 6 pts S: fruit & cottage cheese 2 pts L: tuna (I meant to add olive oil to it this morning & forgot), veggies, banana 1 pt S: veggies & greek yogurt dip, apple 1 pt D: skinny taste chicken parm. I will probably have pasta with it since my points for lunch are so low. S: ?

I forgot to ask snowyowl, which skinny taste recipes did you make that fell flat for you? One was a baked chicken and broccoli dish that was totally boring and dry. When I looked back at the blog post I realized she was promoting a friend's recipe. The one I made recently was unstuffed cabbage. The picture looked so tasty and the reality was bland and kind of oily tasting. Maybe I messed up somewhere, but I tried to follow the recipe exactly!

snowyowl Good to know about the broccoli one. I had planed to make it but H is not a fan of broccoli so I didn't make it. Now I won't. That one was featured on the site for a couple of weeks so I figured it was good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I second the suggestion for the baked chicken parm. A few of my other favorites: -http://www.skinnytaste.com/grilled-hawaiian-teriyaki-burger/ -DS loves the broccoli mac and cheese -Korean beef bowls -Broccoli potato soup -baked ziti with spinach (can't remember the exact name, but it's something along these lines) -balsamic chicken with roasted veggies -zucchini tots (make these all the time in the summer for DS) I could go on and on, but those are a few that come to mind! On the sidebar of her site there are lists of the top recipes. Perhaps start there as they are the tried and true favs.

pearbear , I was planning to make the balsamic chicken this week. But my meal plan got derailed (H decided he would start juicing again & just drank juice for dinner all week ) So I had a ton of leftovers when I made the chicken parm that I had it 3 nights in a row, I didn't mind and it made dinners super easy.

Ali7P I never get tired of the chicken parm. I have used leftovers on a sandwich to make a chicken parm sub. So good! You should definitely try the balsamic recipe soon. It is one of my summer go-tos.

Thanks ladies! My sister swears by ST and gave me a few of her favs too, so I have a good list to try now!
In other news... I've come in at the right number of points for two weeks in a row with zero weight loss. So frustrated. My schedule will open way up in two weeks when I am out for the summer and I plan to get back to the gym. But in the meantime, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I just wanted to let you know I'm right there with you. I have no advice at the moment. Maybe reevaluate your food log and see if there is a mess up with points that might be causing you to go over?

Weigh in today. No change. No change for the last 3 weeks. So it's good that I'm maintaining the 7lb loss, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong that I'm not loosing now. I'm good about tracking. I stick to the points. Maybe stop using weeklies and only use dailies?

The past two years have been a real struggle. I can manage to lose 5 pounds and stall out no matter what I did. This is my first week on ww so I'll let you know next week if I've lost any weight. Fingers crossed! So far I'm feeling good about everything with ww and hope to see success like other have seen over the last few weeks.

dogbutt, snowyowl, brookethecat, I've heard a lot of people have used this method for breaking through a plateau. sites.google.com/view/ssprengel23plan/the-planyou can looking him up on WW Connect, IG or FB. I've been using this plan for the past few weeks. I like have a "plan" for my weeklies, not just using them for a "oops" moment. I also use some of my fit point, he suggests using 20% to start and tweaking from there. I hope this helps someone
