I'm having a shit time following through on anything. Starting the days well, but temptation and weakness in the afternoon/evening and I fuck it all up. Blah. Nights were my biggest hurdle for a long time. Maybe aim for one good evening/whole day this week and next week, then aim for two the week after that. Small sustainable steps are good. I really like that idea. As soon as the kids go to bed at night I want to snack, since all day I'm trying to model better eating behavior. So it's hard.

peacock it sounds like you've come a long way! Congrats on your progress. Remember that even if the wheels fall off sometimes, the road goes on. Or some shit like that. One bad day doesn't define you. Thank you, I really needed to hear that this week. Two years ago when I started I was 315lbs. I got done to 190 lbs, got a surprise BFP and now I'm at 214 lbs. It's been a wild ride. Wow that's amazing! Great job!!

Weigh in was today, and I'm up half a pound, so I'm a little disappointed. BUT, I'm down a band size in my bra. Hubs bought me some new bras a few months ago, and one was the wrong band size, but I never got around to returning it. I tried it on and it fits great! And that made me notice that my usual ones are a bit loose in the cups. So, I'm going to count that as progress, regardless.

The scale is only one part of the equation and it can be so misleading. You're doing great!

Checking in: I worked out today thanks to this thread so 3 out of the 5 workouts done for the week. Tracking all my food and have been keeping it between 1600-1900 calories a day. I've hit my step goal the past 3 days and hope to continue that trend. Clothes seem looser and currently liking how toned my legs are looking that I feel comfortable in shorts! It's mini wins that keep me going.
Keep it up everyone!

snowyowl hello fellow seltzer addict here, what brand are you drinking? Imagine my shock when I learned some seltzers are high in sodium. I currently drink the lemon lime Canada Dry with 45 mg of sodium per can.

My favorite flavor is black cherry. Also la croix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like really lightly flavored drinks, so I stick to the lemon, lime, and cranberry lime.

This thread is so motivating. I've been considering WW. I lost 40 lbs about 10 years ago but now gained it plus 40 more. Been trying to get motivated again. Will start checking in in this thread!

I hate being honest with myself but I know it's the only way to keep on track. I slipped last night and ate a lot of gramcrackers. It's been a stressful week and As i get older I've noticed I eat food for comfort and snack at night. I need to put myself to bed to avoid snacking. My plan is to go to bed around 9 to avoid snacking.

I have been on weight watchers 3 weeks! Im on vacation so this week has been iffy.. I am breastfeeding and up until this week I have had trouble eating all of my points.. I don't want to eat extra just to eat. Should I eat higher point stuff just to get my points for the day? That seems odd. Also, I'm not sure how much I've lost because after week two I realized my scale was wrong! So that stinks! I bought a new scale and I should be able to see if I'm losing weight from here on.

I had another good day yesterday. And I ended up eating leftover eggplant parm that H had ordered the other night. I counted it and still ended up at 30 points. Plus I worked out in the evening.
H and I are going out of town for our anniversary (10 years today!) on Sunday. So that will involve lots of drinking and eating, but probably a lot of walking too. We're going to Portland, ME, we've been there before but never had the chance to really explore.
Tomorrow there is a cookout at our neighbors' house. I'm hoping to keep things in check, but it's hard to plan. I've been saving my weeklies for the weekend (doing the SSprengel23 plan) but I'm shifting my days to Sat, Sun, Mon. Hopefully I'll have some points leftover after Sunday! And I'm eating 20% of my Fit Points. I earn 100+ per week via my Fitbit, but only about 20% of them come from exercise.
My short term goal was 165 by memorial day weekend. Today I'm 167.5, it was a big goal (10 lbs in 5 weeks) and I'm happy with how close I came. My next goal is 160 by the 4th of July. I haven't been below 160 since 2014.

I'm going out of town this weekend to our cabin, and am going to relax and enjoy myself. Thankfully, we grill almost exclusively while there, so that will help. Once the holiday is over though, I'm refocusing and getting back on track.

I hope it is okay that I jump in here. I am in a bit of a slump right now and know I need to get back on track.
I haven't weighed myself in a few weeks, but I have an appointment coming up where I know I will likely see a number I don't like. It is time to get serious.
I had surgery a couple weeks back and the recovery has been slower than I would like, but I am hoping to get in a couple walks and stretching sessions this weekend. I am trying get back on-track with eating. I don't track with WW, but I am hoping if I stick to whole, unprocessed foods that I will see some positive changes. Tracking tends to get me overly obsessive and I am trying to avoid that this time.
My biggest weakness is my time at the office. They provide a buffet of snacks and sweets as a perk, and when the afternoons get stressful I tend to indulge more than I should.
Thanks everyone for sharing your progress—reading through is truly inspiring!

Thanks everyone for sharing your progress—reading through is truly inspiring! If tracking actual numbers is too much, is a food log (just written or in Excel, but no numbers) something you might be interested in? That might be an option. Tracking is a good way to help break a mindless snacking habit- I have to log my snacks before I eat them. It makes me more aware and I have to think if it is really worth it to shove a handful of M&Ms in my mouth. Obviously is tracking sets off an obsessive spiral, then that's not a good option in your case, but just a log of the food choices and having to stop and think first might help.

I think I mentioned this on the old board, but I started a fitness class. They do a 10-week jump start. 3 days of cardio and 3 days of weight training, plus calorie and Marco tracking via MFP. We are at the end of week 8 and I hit my weight goal (12 pounds). I would still like to lose more body fat though. My overall BF% hasn't moved that much (1.5-2%).
I'm going to try to up my protein a bit and more strength training. I plan to continue the program after the 10 weeks and really focus on reducing BF% regardless of the number on the scale. I'm a bit more "fluffy" than where I want to be. Any tips or tricks on reducing body fat?

Hope it's ok if I jump in! I'm down about 40 pounds since January. I still have at least 40-50 pounds to lose.
I did a whole 30 a few months ago and have been following the same general guidelines since I completed it, but allowing for treats (or a drink) once or twice a week.
I've been a lot less mindful over the last few weeks due to vacation and life in general, so I'm hoping participating can keep me accountable!

It seems like a lot of people are having success with weight watchers. I think I might give it another shot. I did ww about 3 years ago but shortly after discovered I was pregnant so I stopped.

I'm going to hang out here some if that's ok. I'm currently doing a whole 30. I needed a little kick start to get back into a healthier lifestyle after going a little overboard with treats while pregnant.
