Hi. I have already played a round of Candy Land and B is currently singing the ABC's on repeat while trying to avoid 'hot lava' (the floor), so someone is clearly ready and raring to go today.
I am meeting a rep from our government-assigned 'transportation service provider' today at our storage unit so he can assess all our worldly goods and how long it will take them to load it and get it to VA. After that DH is coming home early bc I have a teeth cleaning appointment.
Exciting stuff around here...!

Morning! Dinner last night was great, we had lots of wine, good food and good conversation. I know this friend through my husband, she's a colleague of him. It's the weirdest thing, we met when my husband was playing in a bar a little over 2.5 years ago. It turned out we've lived in the same city out entire life, our personalities are really similar, know a lot of each other's high school friends, moved in the same political circle back then, went to the same concerts, bars, festivals. We've just never met! She has an N15 and truly is one of my best friends now . Today is uneventful, preschool, cleaning, groceries. I *think* I've narrowed down what kitchen we want (light blue, soapstone counter, with an apron sink) now I just need to confirm they'll make it. I think we've found the floor we like (old school floor, literally) we just need to go see it. Now we just need a bathroom suite, tiles for both the kitchen and the bathroom, new curtains, cheap floor for upstairs etc. Oh and a cast iron wood burned for the fireplace. Reno is hard people, soooooooo many options and decisions!

Good morning. I have a meeting at 8:30 and then need to run to my other office to direct a move. I'm already tired.
C was super cute this morning. We got in the car and he says "mommy, you're beautiful". So nice and unexpected. Later in the ride he told me at preschool graduation on Friday that he doesn't want to sit with us and will be sitting with his friends. They grow up so fast.

That was such a sweet thing of C to say wedding! Not sure what was up with the forum a bit ago, but I know some of us had a hard time logging in. Hopefully no more glitches today. I stopped for coffee on my way to work and it is making my day. Especially after being up too late finishing The Keepers last night and trying to mentally shut down going over the story.

Morning. I need to fold a ton of laundry, then lunch with a friend for her birthday, then Father's Day shopping and the gym. Not a bad vacation day. 😁

chrisy01 How far away do you live from Oceanside? I might be flying up there late August or September for my father's surgery.

I was having log-in problems too. Glad to know it just wasnt something I was doing. mwhip, I just finished Keepers last night also. I feel kinda meh on the show. -SPOILERS- (maybe) I just found a lot of the "evidence" to be way too coincidental/circumstantial. I do believe the victims and it's a horrible shame that they have lived with that pain and have had no justice. I am still not convinced about the murder of the nun - they seemed to prove nothing in my mind.

Morning. I'm sitting on the porch eating breakfast before I have to drive Lucas out to school.
I'm super nauseous this morning, and I'm suppose to work out with my trainer. I'm debating if I should cancel or not.
Nothing else today. We have a showing at 2:00 (someone buy the goddamn house!!!!) and dh has a work happy hour to celebrate his 10 years there. I was going to go but decided not to since I've been feeling g so crappy. This means I'm on my own for dinner so the kids will either get chicken nuggets, mac and cheese or McDonald's.

Morning! L is under the weather so not much sleep in the wine house last night. I came into work late because I wanted to spend a little time with her this morning and then needed to bring her to my in-laws. I'm hoping she'll be in a good enough mood to go to my workout class later so I don't need to miss it.

xolastunicornxo, I am glad you had a good appointment yday! Maybe I am a lazy ass, but if I was not feeling well, I wouldn't go tot he gym. I dont like working out when I cant give it my all. Can you push it to a later time in case the nausea subsides?

Haven't read but my attention span is at like a -7 so I wanted to check in before I take 3 hours to read one page..
Matthew had me up all night. He got a super late nap yesterday and I couldn't get him to wake up so he wouldn't screw up bed time. Then he wouldn't eat dinner and then once he FINALLY fell asleep, leaked through his diaper.. So I had to do a PJ change on a flailing toddler while trying to keep him quiet enough to keep Jack asleep. Then once again Jack woke up at 6am on the freaking dot, to nurse in the living room. WHY?! It was only 30 minutes this time but I'm exhausted. And my allergies are angry this morning. Also, DH has a man cold/sinus issues and was completely useless last night.
In the good news department, R came out last night and had dinner with us. Now that I know I don't have to nag him about school, and he knows he isn't going to have to come up with excuses about school, our interactions are soooo much better. And he's going to college for free because he is considered an orphan since he was never adopted by anyone after his mother's death. I'm so glad he won't have to deal with student loans, even though the reason is awful.

I'm in a funk. All the tension between my Mom and I came to a head last night. She is awful and I need to find a way to not spend time with her. Fak.

The last half of the last episode I felt like I might cry at anytime. When they questioned how different lives would have been if action would have been taken in 1967 instead of just moving the priest, I almost lost it. The entire abuse situation could have been avoided. It's such a sad situation for everyone involved.

Morning! My Fitbit says I got 3.5 hours of sleep last night so that's delightful. Not much planned for today. We need to run to the store for milk this morning. I think we might go to the spray park this afternoon. S is acting much better so I think she's over whatever it was she had going on.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I saw something about Ikea is going to start selling on Amazon and thought of you! Although it won't be the same as going to the store, it would be nice to be able to order things without crazy shipping charges.

Worth watching? **Trigger Warning There are a lot of sexually graphic details of abuse, corruption within the catholic church, police department, etc. Trying to tie that into the unsolved murder of a nun. I enjoy true crime stories, but this one disturbed me more than normal for some reason. I'm glad I watched it, but it is hard to take in all the details. It's only 7 episodes so not a huge time commitment. The first episode is kind of slow, but they release important details all the way until the end. There is no closure for any of the parties involved, but hopefully the release of the documentary and attention it is getting will help solve the crimes committed.
