peachsmama, have you seen the dollar game? Give them each a dollar, but put it on the wall. They hold their nose to the dollar and whoever holds their dollar to the wall the longest, gets to keep it. (You can let them both keep it in the end). They may want to keep playing it over and over with the same $2, just to see who can do it the longest.....

flamingo, +whatever to the play jewelry, tea sets, and and kitchen goods. Josie also loved anything arts and crafts, legis and other things to build (the Lauri Tall Stackers) were a hit.

Lue's favorites are shopping cart, LeapFrog shapes and sharing picnic basket, play jewelry, play kitchen and doll high chair. +1 for play jewelry! I also got Evie one of those jewelry boxes with the wind-up ballerina that plays music and she LOVES it. She also loves her doctor kit and regularly gives her dolls (and us) checkups. ETA: I see you have that covered  My mom got L one of those jewelry boxes from PB and she AND C love it, haha! |

@dspostrophe yes to the finger foods! the apps we did at our 4th of July party were a hit with the kids bc they could just grab and go. I like pigs in a blanket (I use the Hillshire farms mini beef sausages and wrap in crescent roll dough), fruits and veggies (I was pleasantly surprised how many of the kids we had here chose the raw veggies!), cheese cubes and crackers. You could do mini pizzas/pizza rolls. I have a funfetti dip recipe that is great with graham crackers if you need it. Also a hit were the Simply white cheddar cheese puffs, lol. Yes please to the dip recipe! Also, glad to hear the kids chose veggies...I was almost going to go without. My kids love raw veggies, won't touch cooked ones though. Will there be adults too, or is this purely kid food? |

Thanks everyone, these are such good ideas! I'm going to file them away for birthday/Christmas but also get some now to tide her over until then. She loves her tea-set and table/chairs, so I think a kitchen with cooking tools sometime this winter will be a hit. Right now she messes around with B's workbench--never let it be said Flamingo's daughter isn't being taught to DIY |

Hi! Busy morning.
We headed back to the pedi this morning to check white count again to make sure the Abx shot was doing its job. It was almost back to normal, so we avoided another shot and we get oral abx. He slept well last night and had no fever this morning, so I think he is on the mend. Thanks for the well wishes!
I just made my prime day order and I'm staying away for the rest of the day. I bought a car seat, firestick, and hair dryer. The one I have is physically broken and has had duck tape holding it together, so I bought a babybliss since I could get a deal on it. Hope it lives up to the hype.

Glad to hear he sounds to be on the mend lahdeedah. Another Prime Day sucker here. Although many of the items are practical for the new house (blackout curtains for our windows, robot vac because my mission is for that place to stay clean, new TV for downstairs, comforter for guest bed, and key pad lock for front door) some are foolishness (2-pack of Echo Dots for the girls' rooms for Christmas, vintage elephant artwork, art set for niece's birthday). It seems to me like they have fewer deals than in the past or at least I don't know how to look for them. I've always thought their organization was confusing. I stupidly thought today would be manageable at work but the assignments keep piling in so adios. |

flamingo dd loves dress up clothes, hats tiaras, baby doll crib & stroller, fake make up, animal figurines and dinosaurs 😂😂😂. We also have a balance board she likes and a stackable wooden rainbow, that is very pretty just for decor, but is played with almost every day too! Eta duplo is still a big hit, as are stamps and an ice cream cones for in the sandbox.

No prime day over here, but I did buy something very impulsive, a duo DVD player for in the car. We have a 8 hour car journey to Denmark coming up next week. We don’t have tablets, but we could have borrowed them. However, I could not figure out how I would control DD’s one, since she’s still rear facing and the thought of one watching curious George and the other one watching the Teletubbies made want to hide very far.

Thanks wineallthetime and sands42, good ideas!! @sands funny you said that about her likely getting more into babies, she is currently cuddling her ‘twins’ after giving them a checkup with the doctor kit. Lol. She hasn’t touched them in weeks. N's new class is all girls and they have a weekly baby activity day..they all get the babies and do something together, feed them, give them real baths, etc. At a friend's house she ran around the house with the toy baby stroller the whole time. She is very into Elmo, curious George, and Daniel tiger. I have the sesame Street figurines in my cart at Target today since some brands are 25% off. She also likes the kitchen, duplos, the train set, etc. I am hoping to avoid a princess obsession, but I doubt that will happen... |

We survived the blood draw, the doc suspects gluten since I'm intolerant 😣 and she basically only gets cheese for dairy these days. At least we know how to handle that..guess we will see if anything definitive comes back or if we will just have to test with a diet change.
I'm kind of over my program already. Shockingly full time job, 2 kids and a master's program is a bit much. I'm waiting to hear if taxes are covered, but leaning towards not taking a class in the fall. The apt is a wreck, I'm staying up too late, and really do not care about parts of technology and do not aspire to be a CIO...

I thought L would kinda be more into "boy toys" since that's what she was mostly exposed to. Nope! She is a girlie girl through and through. Give her the babies, purses, jewelry, singing, dancing, ect.

flamingo Z likes lots of the stuff already mentioned but also loves play doh activity sets, like an ice cream cone one. She also was really into this Melissa and Doug ice cream scoop set that is now in my amazon cart for Christmas. Girl just loves ice cream! Lol
