@smilz, hiii! No personal experience, but what concerns have you been having (if you don't mind sharing with us) I don't mind it's just LONG for L 4.5 years long. Lol We have gone through suspecting OCD, SPD, ODD, ADHD, if it has a D we have suspected it at some point. After a MAJOR meltdown at gymnastics Friday that ruined her whole session after (new coach...) I was like I'm looking up Aspergers. This www.google.com/amp/s/taniaannmarshall.wordpress.com/2013/06/22/first-signs-of-asperger-syndrome-in-young-girls-pre-school/amp/ was a lot like her. Then the other night while looking more trying to decide if we need an assessment, I found this He nails her. Hubs agrees (even said it sounded like me, and it does run in families). While obsessively googling videos of kids to see how I missed it, I come across these videos of high functioning ASD/Autism and Cece is in these videos, it was her. Her ticks, her inability to answer to her name even when you're screaming freaking out as she crosses the street oblivious to anything around her, her need to stand on things and suck or lick things (her fingers, toys, baby brother, us, she always says she wants to taste his diapers...), she flaps her arms and hands, never EVER looks to me for confirmation when playing (literally oblivious to this and now I see it plain as day, L will say look at me look at this see this mom look here so often it's annoying, at the park I just watched differently today, L was constantly look at me mom! C never once did, never once looked back on her scooter to make sure I was coming, while L says Look at me! C bangs the tether ball rope and chain against the pole, goes up a slide, swings on her tummy, climbs... but not once checked to see if I was watching her, I'm crying now I had no idea that wasn't even normal), at this age L could write but Cece barley holds crayons prefers to just look at the coloring books, she's so spacey if you send her to pick a swim suit or toy or shoes or get dressed she can't. She ends up in her pjs in the driveway. I've left her dressed and found her naked 2 seconds later even though we need to be leaving NOW. We thought she was just squirrely. She talks but now that I'm REALLY listening she's usually repeating things she's heard before. Not really coming up with her own material. And watching her in old dance videos... or the library... she's the weird kid that stands there looking dazed and confused. Even in gymnastics now she just wanders off mid class. I never would have thought ASD for either of them. But man. It's been an eye opening week. Sorry so long and rambly. I called a recommended psych today and her office is closed till Monday. Not sure if I should try something else or what yet. Still feel like my mind is blown.

I don't know how to replant them, but could you take a stem or a bloom or whatever the specific gardening term is from your old house and plant it in your new house? Ooh. This is an idea. I'm a total black thumb though. I'll have to youtube how to make this happen. trtlcrzy is my gardening guru. I'm sure she'll know.

Welcome back smilz4782! You have 3 little ones now right? I don’t have experience with ASD so I can’t help there. How are you doing otherwise? Good until a week ago lol 😂 3! Fitz is about to be 12 weeks old now 😱

chrisy01, Three weeks is a long time, and so is a 20 hour ride. Would LO go to daycare while you're home with E. That might be enough of a schedule for everyone and provide a little more consistency as to what the schedule will be like eventually. This exactly. At a different time I would be in favor of option 1, but I worry about how he will feel with going on a 3 week trip right after E is born without you guys. There's already so much change right now for him. Especially after being an only child for 4.5 years.

Mostly where to start or do we have enough to seek an assessment? With the behaviour and the observations you describe imo you for sure have enough to get an assessment. Make sure they make a complete assessment. This is a very hard process for most parents, so be kind to yourself.

cagoldi I just went through the same thing with the kids at their daycare and going outside, I raised hell and what would you know, they go out 2 times a day now! Amazing my concerns were the same as yours, it explained a lot to their attitudes at home during that time. Good luck and keep us posted.

wedding, if you want to drop some $, then you can get an August Smart lock Pro. If he has access to your phone, then maybe not, though. august.com/keyless-entry/ My sister has that lock and to unlock from inside you just turn the big knob. I don’t know if there is a way to disable the manual lock/unlock.

chrisy01 I understand the want for a schedule but IME with having J, she ran the show until after the 4 month wakeful, then I worked on a schedule for naps, getting her in the crib etc. I would take them up on the offer at a later date. Are you keeping L in daycare full time?

smilz4782 Cece is the one you are concerned about? How old is she? It started with thinking L was Aspie and I'm still positive she is, but then a couple days ago as we kept searching it was looking like Cece is high functioning autism. She's just 3 and one month. We passed a lot off as oh she's only 3 because L is so... precocious we don't know what a typical 3yo looks like. I hope you get pain relief on your neck soon!

We have this on the bottom of the door. For some reason it wouldn’t work on the top when my dad installed it. I should go to HD and check some out to find something.

chrisy01 three weeks seems like a long time, but might not be the best person to ask since I’ve only left my kids overnight twice for two-three nights. I would worry a little bit about him feeling ‘shipped off’ now that there’s a new baby. Not implying that he is, just that he might feel like that. I hadn't thought of this, but good point

Fitz is about to be 12 weeks old now 😱 Try not to spiral too much. The assessment process can take a while and you’ll drive yourself nuts. If you haven’t already maybe jump on the General Discussions board and ask. I know there are a few moms of ASD kids there that could help. Anecdote but my cousin has Aspergers and although the time where they were navigating school and figuring out plans was rough, he has turned into an amazing and successful adult with a good job, lots of friends and an amazing brain.

Maybe see what he wants if you are worried. I know C would be psyched.

I know they kinda resented A (and me).

You could root a cutting but honestly, I’d just go buy one at the nursery. It’ll be a lot less hassle/time/work. Eta: they’re like $25 at my Lowe’s. Just make sure you put them in the right light situation.

Hi smilz4782! I don’t have any personal experience with ASD or aspbergers except my bff’s little brother has the latter. I know that devynn’s little guy has ASD so you could reach out to her on fb if you wanted.

That's the longest I'd been away from either one of them. You'll miss him but you'll also have E to keep you very busy.

I once worked with a boy who was much more severe or obvious. That was 15 years ago.

M asked me again where Sidney was this morning. I reminded her of our talk yesterday & how she was in heaven now. She seems to be okay with it. MH is taking it much better than I expected. Our other dog is a bit sad though.
