Aww, man! I miss that grocery store! Their bread department is the stuff dreams are made of. My favorite kitchen towels have the fresh market emblazoned on them, and they bring back the best memories. On a random but positive note, I bought hydrangeas at Fresh Market last Thursday. I don't think I've ever purchased any this fresh--they were still closed up and that bright lime-y green color. They are finally starting to open today--a week later--and I think will last another few days, at least. I have so enjoyed them. Best $10 ever spent on flowers.

flamingo , I have hydrangea here that have just started to bloom. That green color is so pretty, but I'm very curious to see what color they become. Hydrangeas are my favorite plant and I'll be sad to say goodbye to mine (blueish purple) that's been growing for about 9 years. I plan to plant one soon at the new house.

I don't know how to replant them, but could you take a stem or a bloom or whatever the specific gardening term is from your old house and plant it in your new house?

wedding will your work not make an exception for your meds. When I'm suffering from cluster headaches my job allows me to take Vicodin even though the policy book says no.

Hi! I've been reading but unable to type. C just left for work. Waiting for my parents to return to go visit one of my aunts so she can see E.
So I'm having a dilemma. My parents want to take LO so I have time alone to get E on a schedule. They are thinking 3 weeks. They would leave this Sunday. I have the following options
1. They take LO and come back in 3 weeks 2. I drive out there with them and fly home with E after 4th of July and they come out with LO after the 3 weeks. 3. LO stays here 4. I drive out there with them and come back after the 3 weeks.
I'm an emotional mess with letting LO go. WWN13 do?

wedding, if you want to drop some $, then you can get an August Smart lock Pro. If he has access to your phone, then maybe not, though. august.com/keyless-entry/

chrisy01 Option 1. So much easier on you. It will give you and E time to get on a schedule, L will be fine and have a great time! I also have no problem sending my kid to the grandparents and I only have 1! So I may not be the best judge. But I think some time with just you and E would be good.

Is it possible to do less than three weeks? Let them take him and then when you are ready for him to come back you can go and get him?

NO way would I want to be in a car that long with a newborn and/or 4.5 year old. That sounds like fresh hell.

:flings open the door and barges in: Hiiiiiiiiiii First I'm so glad we have FB so I didn't completely lose everyone 😘 Second... anyone had their kiddo (not just N13) diagnosed autism or high functioning or even Aspergers or any ASD? Just wondering what was the first thing you noticed or group of things you noticed that made you seek evaluation? Our dr has mostly dismissed my concerns with L over the years so I'm toying with heading straight to a psych for evaluation. (Suspect Aspergers) Sorry to just drop in like this, I don't want to ask on my FB yet. Even my own mom is fairly dismissive. :/ wedding your C sounds like mine. Wanders off into the street no fear.

I should mention it's a 20 hour drive. Ah, then yeah, no. I feel like you going and coming back during any part of the scenario will just disrupt any schedule you get E on.

chrisy01, Three weeks is a long time, and so is a 20 hour ride. Would LO go to daycare while you're home with E. That might be enough of a schedule for everyone and provide a little more consistency as to what the schedule will be like eventually.

chrisy01 I would do option #1. No way in hell I'd do a car trip for 20 hours.

chrisy01 they are at your house now or will be soon right? I'd have them drive back with L. Have him stay with them for 2 weeks while you stay at home to relax and bond with E. Then I'd fly out there for a week and stay (you enjoy staying with your parents, right? This won't be stressful?) and then fly home with the kids. He still gets 3 weeks with the grands, you get 2 weeks to just focus on NB parenting and then a week with parental help.

Hi smilz4782! Good to see you here. Good for you for addressing concerns with L and making sure her needs are being met. For the eval they will probably do a variety of things, observe her, have questionnaires for caregivers/DC to fill out. The results will probably be later after all the info has been aggregated. Then they should point you to the appropriate local resources as needed. Good luck.

Yeah chrisy01, I agree that it's either option 1, or option 3. Three weeks seem like a long time and I would be hesitant, too. If they can shorten the time away, that would be best. M was gone for 3 days when I had M2 and I started to miss him a lot, but postpartum hormones and all... Now I would love for M to spend time with grandparents for 2 weeks!

Welcome back smilz4782! You have 3 little ones now right? I don’t have experience with ASD so I can’t help there. How are you doing otherwise?

chrisy01 three weeks seems like a long time, but might not be the best person to ask since I’ve only left my kids overnight twice for two-three nights. I would worry a little bit about him feeling ‘shipped off’ now that there’s a new baby. Not implying that he is, just that he might feel like that.
