Morning!! How's your neck feeling this morning, wedding ? @sands, have you been around? What's the timeline for your move? It hurts. I am at work though. I will probably cut out after lunch since I can't take pain meds at work and kind of need some. Oh good. I was hoping you were taking some of the day off. I'm sure it's painful.

I had planned on having all the kids home today, but C requested to go fishing with his grandpa, so I sent the big kids off! I want ice cream.

The a/c unit at work started leaking through the ceiling again yesterday, so we had to turn it off. It's hot as balls in here and humid as a mofo.

A petting zoo is coming to the dc today. Cadence has been talking about it all week. She wore a dress for the occasion. Today is make frozen banana day at DC so we both had to wear our banana shirts Are they dipping them in chocolate and sprinkles, etc? Cadence would probably enjoy that activity!

Did I ever update you guys on C's parent teacher conference? They said he does really well in a classroom setting and always finishes tasks. They have zero concerns about his attention span. His only issues were on the playground and getting handsy, but they said it's improved. It definitely made me relax a bit about ADHD.
He did, however, walk right out of our house this weekend without permission or notification. I happened to open the shade in my bedroom and saw the little shit walking to the neighbors and didn't see Pete with him. Pete went to go get him but ended up talking to the neighbor instead of disciplining so C got what he wanted, which was to play with the kids on their playset. Not good. He officially can open every lock in the house. I'm not sure what else to do that isn't a huge fire hazard. I gave him a lecture and told him toys will be thrown out if he attempts it again. Hopefully he gets the point.

Would icing it help the pain at all or are you not supposed to do that? I'm not supposed to do anything to it. It's more that its all tight and the muscles pull when I turn my head. The positioning also aggravated an old shoulder injury.

Or you could install those door alarms like they have for people with pools.

wedding Glad C is doing well at school. As far as the escaping, maybe a bell of some sort on the door, so if he opens it, you can hear it. Kind of like those jingle bell doorknob decorations they have out around Christmas, but put it higher up on the door so he can't fool with it.

wineallthetime 's Ice cream mention reminded me of my recent find. I think we talked about Gelato Fiasco before and I finally bought some the other week. SO GOOD. I got the mascarpone caramel pistachio and wild Maine blueberry crisp and both are divine.

Hello. Thanks for the good wishes for B. He's not 100% but is feeling better enough to be annoying We just got back from a trip to McD's drive-thru--because I hate this "trapped" feeling--and now C is napping and I'm net-battling our stupid property manager. They are so, so incompetent. I am just amazed how they manage to stay in business. I have googled them several times recently and it is bad review after bad review. We were so worried about finding a house last summer but we should have done more homework WRT who *manages* the house.

I'm furious.
X's class is supposed to be doing outside play every morning from 8-9. It's come to my attention they don't go outside until 8:30 at the earliest. Today, they got no outside play whatsoever.
A 22 month-old cannot be expected to sit still in class all day with only thirty minutes outside time after lunch. Ridiculous. That's like baby jail.
I'm going to get him early and take him to the park so he gets to do something enjoyable before therapy this afternoon.
No wonder he is acting like a completely different child at school. I'm going to let his teacher know I'm very unhappy about this and Pete and I will speak to the director tomorrow morning.

cagoldi, that's not cool. The days when Cadence doesn't go outside you can def. tell a difference. Unfortunately, her teacher hates the heat, so they only go out in the mornings now, no afternoon play time. It's not fun. They can't burn the same energy inside that they do outside.

I guess it's not regulated at that age, but I know a bill was passed recently in FL requiring a set amount of recess per day for elementary school students. Sad that they have to have LAWS about this (and we can't just rely on teachers and administrators using common sense). I can't imagine being inside all day/every day as a little kid. cagoldi I'd definitely speak up.

Some kids, did not. They preferred to stay at the back of the room out of the clown's reach.

Shudder at the idea of a clown visiting day care... Ha! Same. When I was 3 or 4, my parents had a clown come to my birthday party; I was terrified and literally hid in my mom's lap the entire time. I've hated them ever since. B's preschool had one come this year and he loved it, so I guess he didn't inherit my phobia!

On a random but positive note, I bought hydrangeas at Fresh Market last Thursday. I don't think I've ever purchased any this fresh--they were still closed up and that bright lime-y green color. They are finally starting to open today--a week later--and I think will last another few days, at least. I have so enjoyed them. Best $10 ever spent on flowers.

flamingo annoying is good I guess. It's moving in the right direction. kim22 oh my gosh with the cuteness! What an adorable smile on that handsome little guy! klong11 RIP to Koko, although I confess I thought Koko died years ago. Whoops. tgrimes ugh, I hope it gets fixed quickly. wedding that incision must be in one of the worst spots in terms of trying not to move to aggravate it. I hope you get some rest and relief this afternoon. Eff no to clowns. Thanks all for the anniversary wishes and good mojo for the house! I'm a total creeper and love to look at houses so once it gets listed today I'll share a link in the house thread on the private board for those who want a peek. My house had never been this clean. Lolz.

I would be pissed if outside time was limited. Cs school is so pro outside time they often have to send memos home to remind people in the winter to send snow suits so they can still play. And TG for that because he is not someone you want cooped up all day.
Good idea on the alarms and that will work for the front but maybe not the slider.

flamingo, I have hydrangea here that have just started to bloom. That green color is so pretty, but I'm very curious to see what color they become.
