cmb Yes, IFSP is with EI. Too many letter abbreviations! I already have him registered with the preschool at our Catholic school and they did offer to have his SLP go to the class but I opted out of that since it's only 2.5 hours twice a week and I want him with his peers and doing whatever they're doing. When we started EI at 19 months with DS1 I never thought we'd still be doing it and aging out of it at 3 to the next program. Sigh.

lupincat I get it. It seems to be so slow going here. DS1 barely budged in percentiles over the spring. With as frustrated as we are, I think it’s a lot worse for them because they’re not understood by us. We’re hoping he’ll be ready to go in a general education kindergarten when we’re done with all this... we have an appointment with a specialist this fall for an official diagnosis after the concerns from his therapists. We’re looking at ASD and SPD, maybe ADHD, or some combo of those. 😪 I hope moving to the preschool age program can get things improving quicker for you! Edit: words are hard

Why didn’t anyone tell me that the Legos ninja movie is hilarious? We haven't seen that one but DS1 loves The Lego Movie and I think it's pretty funny too.

Why didn’t anyone tell me that the Legos ninja movie is hilarious? I thought it was way better than the Lego once which surprised me.

DD has officially transferred to the toddler room at daycare. They are treating her like such a big girl over there...she’s eating with a spoon and sitting at a table. It’s giving me so many emotions... She looks so tiny with the bigger kids. 😢

Guys, is 55 week leap real? I haven't tracked them in a while but had to look it up because my kid has been a beast lately. So much crying. So many tantrums. Up, down, go that way, no that way! Water! NO! No water! More cereal! NO too much cereal!
He is killing our spirits. Tell me it'll pass??..............

piratecat I will sit at your tantrum table. Though G does throw some super cute ones. Slowly rolls to his stomach while screeching and kicking his legs. Oh, yes it will pass, hopefully quickly.

J has two major styles - one where his legs become stiff (usually when he doesn't want to sit at the high chair) and he sticks his belly way out and throws his head way back, and the other is your standard melting into the floor trick.

She was insane....so clingy and nothing was good enough. I’m so glad her party was scheduled after her last leap. In just one week, she is a different child. I told her last week after this leap you better know how to do algebra and balance a check book.

I tried ignoring yet another tantrum at dinner and he windshield-wiped his entire dinner off his tray. Rice everywhere. 🤦🏻♀️

She did order some items in my cart on the Zulily app. 😂😂 It was like from one day to the next day she was better. Last week this time she was losing her shit at her smash cake photo session. Hang in there!

I feel awful for saying my baby is annoying me Oh my God please don't. My kid is annoying as fuck. I love her to death but she basically tries to reinsert herself into my womb every meal. At home I can avoid it most of the time but if we are out, then all bets are off. If we aren't allowed to say our kids are annoying then what is the point of posting here?

I feel awful for saying my baby is annoying me Don't feel bad! I've told DS almost since birth that he's lucky he's cute. Even at almost 4 (who am I kidding? especially at almost 4!), he has days where he's super awesome and days where he annoys the ever-loving shit out of me.

My kid must be a completely different kid at home and at daycare. They are always telling me how quiet he is, that he never ever fusses, and they hardly even know he's there. I'm just like WHAT. Like even last week when he was throwing tantrums left and right and he was apparently an angel at daycare.

He may be fairly well-behaved away from home, but there are so many tantrums and so much "No!" when he's with us.

I think when my kid is in the presence of other, especially older kids, he tends to be more reserved and busy watching.
