Yikes, kiddo was not happy at bedtime. He is usually really good but he had no interest in books and fussed to get down to play with toys. Is this going to be an ongoing problem? I’m actually kind of surprised this hasn’t come up before.

I have a 5 hour flight with DD tomorrow. It's her first time flying since she was 2 months old. And I'll be by myself. Wish me luck!

We were traveling this weekend so his sleep was all out of whack is so maybe he is still tired from that? He’s been super excited to play with toys in his room as soon as he gets up in the morning since we’ve been back which is new too.

We've been working on potty training with DD and I upped the anti on pooping by offering ice cream as a reward and she reaped the payout two days ago yay!
Well, this morning she went and sat on the potty and would not get off. When I asked why she told me that she wants ice cream. Despite a great effort on her part nothing happened so I told her that if she goes at school it counts and she can still get ice cream. She reluctantly relented her seat and I spent most of the morning chuckling to myself about it.

Hi! *waves* I'm working on potty training attempt #3 for DS. Between him being almost 4 and needing him to be trained to go to pre-K in the fall, I'm definitely feeling the pressure. sheilathetank DS has been the same way about pooping on the potty! It's like he just does it for the treats and gets so disappointed when there's no poop.

Speaking of potty training, my kid more often than not poops during meals - once during breakfast and once during dinner. Is he doomed to going to the bathroom to poop in the middle of a meal for the rest of his life?

The (almost) three year old impaled the baby's face with a train. I'm not ready to play referee for this shit yet 😩

They will eventually forget to ask for chocolates/rewards/treats every time. Well, at least with my 3yo, she doesn't always ask for a treat or I can redirect to make her forget.

To entertain my kids today I gave them holiday window clings. I currently have a turkey and snowmen stuck to my windows. Whatever works, eh? I am thinking we need to expand our selection though, maybe some bugs and birds.
