I get them at the dollar store. Best $1 toy ever. I never think to go to the dollar store. But I am so gonna do this! Thanks for the reminder. Also each season, dollar spot at Target. Since we're always at Target lol.

Potty training is one of those times I wish my kids went to daycare. I would pay good money for someone else to deal with it.

Either that or some sort of potty training boot camp where I could just send him for a week and have him come back fully trained.

I mean they deal with it, but I still have to deal with it at home. Says the woman who cleaned up pee twice last night in the hour we were home from daycare before bed.

Is my 1YO old enough for window clings? He's been showing interest in stickers but not coordinated enough for them.

G went down last night at 8 after skipping his second nap. He is still currently sleeping... 13 hours later. I wonder what he will be able to do once he wakes up. Walk perhaps?

A friend draws letters with those window markers and then has letter-shaped clings for a matching game. You could do the same with shapes if you're feeling artistic (or they could draw for you).

To entertain my kids today I gave them holiday window clings. I currently have a turkey and snowmen stuck to my windows. Whatever works, eh? I am thinking we need to expand our selection though, maybe some bugs and birds. I get them at the dollar store. Best $1 toy ever. From like age 2 to 4 we went through approx a million clings. DS1 loved them but they get to hairy and gross so quickly. I can only wash em so much.

I took the boys with me to a bridal shower yesterday and hardly saw them after we walked in the door. It was for H's cousin and so MIL and various relatives passed around DS2 and DS1 just followed MIL around telling her like every detail of his life 😂
But we see her like twice a year so he was excited. (She's.....flighty to say the least so 🤷♀️)

Hi! *waves* I'm working on potty training attempt #3 for DS. Between him being almost 4 and needing him to be trained to go to pre-K in the fall, I'm definitely feeling the pressure. sheilathetank DS has been the same way about pooping on the potty! It's like he just does it for the treats and gets so disappointed when there's no poop. My kid is so reward motivated. It's great when i need her to do something, but I can't keep dolling out chocolate chips every time she pees for the rest of her life. Ds1 (3.5 years old) just stopped asking for a jelly bean after he pees. He's been potty trained for a couple months. He tells us that we get a jelly Bean when we pee too lmao.

Routine and peer pressure go a long way. So did the mini marshmallows she gave him when he peed lmao. We are still struggling with convincing him to poop on the potty but we are having more success these days. 🤷

Potty training is one of those times I wish my kids went to daycare. I would pay good money for someone else to deal with it. DS1 qualified for an integrated preschool this fall since we’re now tacking on OT on top of SEIT and speech (which he actually needs an increased number of sessions on, too). Potty training is their problem now lol. He’s pooped train, but he won’t tell us when he needs to pee 🙄 Potty training and getting him to eat more than chicken nuggets and muffins is on their agenda for the fall (he’s now refusing daycare provided meals, which are developed by a nutritionist, so it’s been fun...) along with all the other normal toddler behaviors he should be doing. I’m super excited for the potty training part of this

We started throwing J on mid-poop because he always made the same straining face and noise and still does lol

So we just remind him to stop and go right away like Daniel tiger. Lately he's been decent but will wait until night time sometimes.

I don’t know if I could be that brave.

He eventually put two and two together. He’s been poop trained since about his birthday. Pee hasn’t happened yet

The boys had their birthday party yesterday and luckily the rain held off and we had a great time! DS1 got a Lego Jurassic Park set and he's been playing with it so nicely all day. It's amazing.
H and I saw Jurassic World 2 today so it's been a weekend filled with dinosaurs. That's what happens when you marry a former dinosaur loving kid and produce two more dinosaur loving kids 😉

It’s through the school district but at a private facility. They have to qualify for them, though. We’re having an issue with getting him back to daycare since we live in a different county than the daycare and program. He gets SEIT and speech 2x a week currently. Have you transitioned to the preschool age program or are you still in EI?

I have to go next week for his ISFP meeting so I guess I'll get all the details then.

Once you get set up with the school and go over his IEP (I’m guessing that the ISFP is the EI version?), you may have luck getting him into a preschool program or at least having his therapist come to you instead of you going there The speech therapist and SEIT currently go directly to daycare. I’ve never met his speech and only met the SEIT once. Here, they have to receive a lot of services or have major regressions to be able to get into the integrated programs since they’re 5x a week.
