I had reflux babies. Both projectile spit up all day everyday for a full year and DS didn’t sleep. Ever. I didn’t medicate DD because she definitely wasn’t in pain and she was a great sleeper. Zantac made DS go from a super shitty sleeper to just a run of the mill bad one. So, it helped? Kind of? I’m really glad I could offer you that very encouraging and helpful anecdote. And I really hope your girl starts sleeping. My DD1 was exactly the same as your DD. Never ending spit up. But she slept through the night reliably (on an incline) at 8 weeks and was generally happy. So no meds. This baby doesn’t spit nearly as much, but hates everything and everyone except me. So maybe she has silent reflux? Or a food sensitivity of some sort? Or maybe she just revels in being a nuisance. I would love a run of the mill bad sleeper at this point though. We got our longest ever stretch of sleep last night. 1:52. More than double her former best stretch. 😬😂😭 That sounds like DD. At 10 weeks she randomly slept through the whole night and I thought she was cured. Nope, she just needed a catch up and then went back to torturing me until a few weeks after I was able to night wean and sleep train her.

Today I literally counted the days until I can sleep train this baby.

Hi! DD2 had her second set of tubes put in, and adenoids removed today. Some minutes she seems totally fine, and others she seems to be uncomfortable. We are rotating Tylenol and ibuprofen already, and she took a good nap. So, only thing left to do is drink. Cheers!

I'm afraid to even "type it out loud," but in this moment, the boys are getting along for once and I'm just hanging out knitting. I have other stuff I should be doing, but I'd rather take advantage of this!
As soon as H gets home, I'm going to crack open the wine. I've been facebook stalking a friend all day because her boyfriend said he's going to propose to her today. He needs to get this show on the road because I want to go to bed early tonight!

filingjointly, any chance she has a dairy intolerance? My DD is MSPI and basically didn’t sleep for the first two months and was just all around pissed off most of the time. Maybe? The doctor suggested trying the Zantac for two weeks and then try giving up dairy/soy as a next step so I might do it that way or skip the meds and go right to the elimination diet. She doesn’t have any blood/mucous in her diapers though so it’s all just a guess at this point. She’s probably just a rude baby. My DD was the same as @karenwalkers and also no blood/mucous in her diapers. When we switched to soy formula it was like night and day. ETA: we tried Zantac first and it did nothing.

I'm in bed watching Rise. I finally am finishing the season finale. It was ok, I mainly watched it for the Moana girl. I don't think it got renewed though.

It seems like I might have to try no dairy, at least to rule it out. It feels very unfair though. This child has already robbed me of my sanity and sleep and general brain-workingness, why must she take my cheese as well?

I’ll be here to hang out later! We are at the store picking up stuff for dinner since we were not at home all week and hardly have any groceries. Plans later include drinking, deck sitting and gardening!

I feel like I'm really doing the least to contribute for tomorrow. Everyone else was like, I'll bring dozens of finger foods, fun glass and mixed drinks and I am bring a box made dessert, two bags of chips, and a 6pack of grapefruit shandy.🤷 That is exactly what I would offer to bring. 👍

I’m eating my last vacation meal. A bucket of lobster and shrimp with a nice cold beer.
Back to reality (and laundry) tonight.

I made lemon bars for a grown lady only pool day tomorrow at a friend's house. We're having burgers, corn on the cob, and mac salad for dinner, so it's basically summer food AF here. What time should I be there?

Mh is gone to a concert tonight and I’m hanging out with M. He asked for a cookie so I gave him a Ritz cracker, which he loved.

Cheers ladies! I'm off next week and instead of vacationing somewhere far away we decided to forego the madness that is traveling with little kids and do a staycation with day trips. Starting off "vacation" with a beer on the deck.

I put an offer on a house today. I dangerously think it could be my home. I don’t want to be disappointed.

Sometimes I think I am in charge because I am the adult but then she makes me sing “If I Only Had A Brain” while pacing the bedroom and jiggling my arms just right and I know I was wrong.

I’m emotionally drained and told myself no booze until after 4pm. So now I have a glass of wine because it’s 4:15. We are currently a 1 car family and I’m stuck at the house for 4 days in a row and walking the neighborhood in the AM is my only outlet, because it’s too hot later in the day. I’m only on day 2 and going out of my mind.

I have wine open and waiting for H to come home and make up for the fiasco he turned yesterday into. I want the filet I had planned on yesterday! What happened after the birthday song was missed?

We tried zantac and then another reflux med when that didn't do anything. After neither of those worked I tried eliminating dairy and soy. When that didn't work I cried and cried and sleep trained at 4.5 months. I hope it goes better for you!
