Work is actually going to drive me insane today. Too much work and not enough me. I refuse to work OT so I have to scramble all day for 8 hours putting out one fire after another. Maternity leave is a vacation compared to this stuff. Speaking of leave, I had to call in to set up my open claim for maternity leave starting in November yesterday. Which basically means I am officially out at work. I totally understand that feeling. I just left a job like that in January. I hope it calms down a bit soon for you.

hayleysmith we used the delta in a different pattern for F and it worked well. Slept good in it and transitioned seamlessly into the crib at 8 weeks. We will be using it again for this one.

Had a slight panic attack this morning. I woke up because I had to pee and then realized it felt like someone punched me in the back, on my left side. My ute was hard as a rock (BH, I’m guessing) and the left side of my ute was super tender. I had myself briefly convinced that all was over. Something was terribly wrong. But, thanks to DD letting me rest / sleep until 8, I feel OK. I feel tired, but OK. I also listened to the HB with the doppler (the little brat kept swimming away though 😐).
No idea what that was all about. I hope it doesn’t happen again.

quijibo how scary!!! I also hope it doesn’t happen again. I was reading about how we may start to feel some sharp pains because organs and bones are being shoved in all different directions. Maybe that could be it?

Maybe that could be it? I wonder if that explains my weird feelings. I have found a few times in the last few days if I turn a certain way I get this sharp sensation. I don’t want to call it a pain bc it doesn’t necessarily hurt but is pretty intense and freaks me out each time. Do.not.like.it!

Because I have been having a ton of Round Ligament Pain, way more than I remember from my first pregnancy, usually when I move or twist in certain ways. I also get this pain/cramping in my whole uterus when I wake up at night and have to pee really bad. So lovely.

So I am pretty much a huge mess since finding out about the factor V mutation. I am feeling less symptoms (which at almost 15 weeks I'm sure is probably normal) but I cant help but let my mind read into everything. I also felt a weird tightening/hardness in my very lower abdomen. Like right above my pelvic area. I just want to see the baby again and make sure everything is okay.
On top of everything else work is going to be so stressful this week and that isn't helping my mental state. I need this week to be over already.

We visited my friends yesterday who just had a new baby girl a week and a half ago, and DD was really good with the baby and wanted to help feed her, although she did get jealous when I was helping my friend with her baby carrier and holding the baby. Then last night, we watched the first of the Daniel Tiger episodes about the new baby coming and she was so excited to talk about Daniel Tiger being a big brother and she's going to be a big sister and hold the baby when he comes and be a big helper. She sang a song to my belly while we snuggled and I teared up because it was so damn sweet. I'm so happy she seems to be really understanding about the baby and is excited (at least for the moment, until the baby actually comes lol.

Also, I got the new KFC pickle fried chicken last night and it was everything I hoped it would be. It reminds me of a CFA sandwich with extra pickles. Somehow they engineered a pickle-y sauce made of crack to coat the crispy fried chicken and it's genius and I am going to gain so much weight omg.

N tells me and his friends at daycare that it's his baby, so funny.
He's been pretty excited about the whole thing so far, I hope it lasts.

I'm so sorry for the bad genetic news, I can understand why you'd be so anxious. Have you thought about getting a doppler to listen to the heartbeat when you're feeling really stressed or anxious about how the baby is doing?

I'm sorry for the anxiety, jense927. I totally get the PAIF mindset - it's not easy. That time period of where the first tri ick finally eases but you're not really feeling movement or really pregnant yet is also hard. I hope you're able to get take a little time for yourself this week to de-stress, even just a few minutes here or there.

My DS is also really excited about his baby brother, and it's adding to my excitement this time around. He continually asks me about the baby in my belly, lifts my shirt to try and find him, and tries to give him noseys, lol. It's so sweet, and I'm really dreading the day that I'm sure is coming when baby is out and he wants him to go away again.

Dramaphile I’ve had my share of RLP. Sneezing is seriously dangerous. But with RLP, it’s here and gone just like that. At least for me. This was so uncomfortable and wasn’t letting up. Tylenol was helpful, though. I’ve been fine ever since. So weird. We were busy yesterday and I didn’t feel baby much, but today at work where it’s chill, he/she is wiggling like crazy. So, that’s reassuring.

I just got this one from amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C7MQD6S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It arrived yesterday and even though I have virtually no clue what I'm doing I was able to find the heartbeat several times yesterday. I got that one because it was on the cheaper end as far as price goes. It came with two sets of headphones and a cable that I used to record the sound on my phone. I did have to get the gel separate though so the other one linked here might be nicer as it's not much more in price and shows the heart rate on it, which this one doesn't do.
