I am sitting here wishing I had the funds to get one the Maven Scout carriers from Sakura Bloom. They are restocking their online store today and I realllyyyy really want one but H would kill me. I would need to sell at least one of my carriers to get it and right now I am not willing to part with any of them. Boo... I'm soooo bad about baby carriers. I've never been one to spend money on clothes or makeup or shoes, but I have... 7 woven wraps, 2 ring slings and a meh dai, (and MH has his own Onbuhimo carrier) and I still want more. My wall rack is overfilled! Part of why I'm becoming a babywearing educator is because it makes me feel better about having so many lol.

I booked a last minute (elective) u/s for today in an hour to confirm the sex. I did the sneakpeak blood test, but I need 100% confirmation! Think girl thoughts for me lol

Dramaphile I am really bad about them too! I try to just rotate by buying, selling, or trading but my stash is larger than I originally wanted because I just want more carriers! I have seriously thought about becoming an educator too! One of my issues is that I love custom carriers and those can be $$$! I have 2 wovens, 2 onbuhimos (1 custom made), and 3 ring slings (2 customs). I really love the quality of the Sakura Bloom carriers and I really want to try their silk scout carrier! It’s so beautiful... I will eventually just buy one. Maybe I can score a deal on their B/S/T page.

I have definitely been oogling some custom wrap-conversion carriers as of recently, but can't justify the $$. Probably need to sell/trade a wrap or two, although I may wait until after the baby comes to see what I actually reach for. I did buy myself one wrap I'd been wanting for a while when I found out I was pregnant.

The one type of carrier I didn’t try when DS was an infant was a ring sling. I used the ktan until he was a little bigger and then I mostly favored my mei tai, with some ergo & a wrap mixed in. I think I want to get a ring sling this time to try.

I don’t typically use them for longer carries but I still think they are so worth it. There is a learning curve with them but after you get the hang of it they are so easy to use.

I'm DIY sewing one for this baby from a wrap that I never use and can't bear to part with.

Which Ring Slings do you al recommend? I’ve been looking for one this time. I’m also looking at getting a lillébaby for this one. I generally need more back support because I have a bad neck/upper back from a car accident.

I generally need more back support because I have a bad neck/upper back from a car accident. Sleeping Baby Production makes really nice custom ring slings that are reasonably-priced (they start around $45). If you are able to try some on at a local babywearing meeting (you can look on babywearing international's website to see if you have a local chapter) or from a friend, it can give you an idea of what shoulder style is most comfortable for you (they come in gathered, hybrid, pleated, padded, etc) and then start from there with finding a sling. Linen slings will be cooler, but less supportive because they are thinner fabric. I love wrap conversion slings because they tend to be a little cushier than plain cotton. If you do have a local BWI, you can join as a member for $30 a year and borrow a carrier every month as part of your membership. Meetings are also open to non members and you can get help with carriers you have a try on carriers from the library.

Oh awesome! Thank you so much Dramaphile! There are just so many ring slings, that it was hard for me to wrap my head around all of them.

Dramaphile I have a customer Broo wrap conversion from a Lemon Looms hand woven wrap that I hate. I wore HQ in it once and said nope. If you'd like to borrow it to try out let me know.

I also have a carrier problem. I never got into full wraps but I have 4 wrap conversion Ring Slings, 2 wrap conversion Tula's, 1 canvas Tula and the Broo.

I agree with Dramaphile on seeing if you have a local BWI chapter near you where you can try shoulder styles before you buy. Personally my favorite shoulders are Butterfy Babies seraphina shoulder or Sleeping Baby Productions eesti Style shoulder. Gathered would be my 3rd choice. Then as far as brands to try it just depends on how much you want to spend. If you like gathered shoulders then I recommend Soul Slings. I had a sling from them for awhile that was so light but so supportive and I got it on sale at 5 minute recess for like $30. I also have a sling from WildBird that is really great with a gathered shoulder.

I’m not into wraps or ring slings so no advice, but I tried on the Lillebaby recently and it ruined my other carriers ( Boba 4G, Ergo 360, and Baby Bjorn) for me. Soooo easy and so much back support. I’m probably going to sell the Ergo and Bjorn and buy the Lillebaby.

The padding and back support is great!

Confession: I hated baby wearing. I should probably learn to love it with a toddler and a baby, but I very rarely did it. DD also preferred H when she could be carried on his back. He’s less bony than me. lol. I had the Ergo 360 and a Bjorn. Wraps freak me out. It’s overwhelming. I feel like I can’t be trusted to do it right. Like, she’s for sure gonna fall out.

I never liked my Ergo 360 and Bjorns are safe carriers, but not very comfortable or ergonomic. Wraps are intimidating for a lot of people and there's nothing wrong with that, that's the beauty of having so many options.

Add me to the baby carrier obsession club. I actually just bought another yesterday morning because it had anchors and was 40% off. We are doing a nautical theme for Lucas so I had to have it. Plus it’s an airflow one so that will be helpful with the hot, humid Southern climate. My other ones may get too hot in the summer.
I can’t buy anymore. In fact I should sell one or two.

I also loved my Lillebaby carrier. I bought it when DS was getting too heavy for me to wear him comfortably in my other, cheaper carrier and it was totally worth it - especially now that I'll get another baby's worth of use out of it. I can't wait to use it again!

I’m investigating Lillebaby carriers now... what model do you guys have?
We have an Ergo already but DD1 didn’t like it so we only ever used it a couple times. It’s a goal of mine to babywear DD2!

I liked my Beco Gemini, but I'm bored with it. I should sell it and get something new.
I had my annual review at work today & I was given 5 extra vacation days plus a raise! So excited!!

Definitely get a Complete, they come in a few different styles but are all basically the same structure and padding-wise (All Seasons and Airflow both have a mesh panel for warm weather). They adjust from newborn on up, and can do front, forward, back and hip carries. Check your local Babies R us right now if you have one, I know ours has some Lillebaby carriers for 50% off currently with the closing sale.

I need to AW my first baby - he's 3 today! We've already had donuts, a trip to the zoo, his first try on his new balance bike, and now we're chilling before his grandmas come over with more presents, and we'll do pizza and cake before his big party tomorrow. I'm so exhausted, but it's been a great day so far!

All of a sudden the past few days I'm feeling a ton of movement, which is really exciting! Little pokes and taps on the inside, and this kid really likes to kick me in the bladder, apparently. It's nice to feel some reassurance, since the anterior placenta has kept me from feeling much of anything till 20 weeks.

I have reached the I don't feel pregnant stage. I feel some movement/bubbles/flutters occasionally, nothing consistent so I'm often like "hello, you in there?"
