Hallelujah the pants I ordered from Destination Maternity arrived and they fit! They're full panel (I can't stand demi panel because I have a long torso and no butt and everything falls down), but fit well and are comfy and look pretty good!

I was up all night with gas pain/ heartburn /vomiting. I had Taco Bell for lunch so I’m blaming that but my god I cannot go through another night like that. I was one foot out the door to the emergency room. Anyone have tried and true gas relievers? Gas-X doesn’t work for me. I’m pretty sure gas was the main issue affecting the rest. Sorry for the possible TMI.

Ugh, crawling out of the hole I have been in this week. DS2 was home with a stomach bug for the past 3 days. Then I got it and now I am recovering but still sick. DS2 is back at daycare today and I am seriously considering taking off work for the rest of the day. Hanging in there? Ugh, throwing up regularly the past few days and I have been so exhausted. Keeping anything down and staying hydrated has been hard and as a result I have been getting Braxton Hicks contractions more often than I would like. Hopefully I am on the upswing now and will start getting better.

Sorry for the possible TMI. Maalox Total Relief would cover the gas and the heartburn. Liquid medications always work better/quicker for me for gastric issues. And solidarity, I feel like no matter what I eat, I still get heartburn, but it's worse with heavier stuff like the burger I had for dinner yesterday. Ugh.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’m going to have MH pick some up. Heartburn can eff off, sorry you’re dealing with it too.

Sorry for the possible TMI. When I have bad gas I'll hang out on the bed on my knees with my head down and my butt in the air. Super attractive, I know, but it seems to move the gas the right way. Also +1 to constant butt hurts from sitting at work.

Do you have them yet? Curious how they fit in the thighs. I can't seem to find denim shorts that are really snug on thighs and I can’t stand that fit.

I got pants from old navy and they’re alright. They suffice.
I just got back last night from a week long work trip. I turn around and head to Orlando tomorrow night. Sorry I have been so MIA!

My youngest DD had a friend sleepover last night. They didn't fall asleep til 1045, woke me up at 3 to tell me "the room smelled funny", then were up for the day at 6. I couldn't fall back asleep til after 4 so I am struggling today 😴

Yes I have them (I actually got them on thred up for $9!). They aren’t too tight but aren’t too loose. I have bigger thighs and I actually really like them. They don’t ride up much at all.

Totally forgot how sensitive my skin is to sunburn during pregnancy and got a lovely burn on my shoulders and chest while at Sesame Place with my kid yesterday (despite wearing sunscreen). It's not painful, at least, but it looks pretty bad.

Also we hit up the closing sale at our local BRU which is in its final days and scored an infant carseat, extra base and adapter for my City Mini GT for $90 total. My BFF was going to give us back her infant seat, but it's at least 5 years old at this point and I haven't had time to got get it and check the expiration date.

Dramaphile That's awesome! I went to ours over the weekend and they had nothing left. Nothing. They are closing in 4 days though. hayleysmith We have the HALO and really liked it. I had a CSection and will be having a Repeat so I love that it is at a higher level but the sides fold down for easy access while in bed. We were also fans of the rocking/vibrating motion and the light. We have a RNP but DD1 was never really attached to it so it stayed in the living room for naps and such.

hayleysmith we had the first one, arm’s reach. I liked it. My kiddo was a poor sleeper but I don’t think it was the bassinet’s fault. We’ve got a different bed & bed frame this time around so I will have to see if the bassinet fits well with the one we’ve got now.

I don’t have either but would lean towards the arms reach or halo just for resale purposes. I see them being sold used in my area all of the time. I think they hold their value. We still have a pack n play with the bassinet/changer on it. I plan to use it again.

Speaking of bassinets, I’ve been trying to convince MH that the Snoo would be a wise investment and worth the $$$. He is not on board. 😐

On the other hand, I think I would pay any amount of money if this kid will sleep more than DS did.... I can’t say I haven’t thought about it lol.

I would probably totally buy that when I’m hormonal & exhausted if this one won’t sleep like my other one wouldn’t

I just keep thinking about those rough newborn days though, and considering what all I can sell off to make it happen, lol. I don't think I could bring myself (or my H) to fork over that much money right now while we're enjoying a toddler that generally sleeps... but give me a couple weeks into this baby, especially if he's as terrible of a sleeper as DS was his first year, and I think I'd be willing to fork over just about any amount of money in my bank account for more sleep lol. I've been thinking about trying to have this baby start off in his crib from day 1 since I remember it being really hard to sleep when we had DS in the pack 'n play next to our bed in the first couple months last time, and bringing the rock 'n play into our room if that turns into a disaster. I know you're not *technically* supposed to let your baby sleep in that, but it was the only way we could get any sleep some nights with DS, so I figure survival will be key this time around. Mostly, my sleep plan right now is just pray to the sleep gods early and often that this kid is a better sleeper.

Mostly, my sleep plan right now is just pray to the sleep gods early and often that this kid is a better sleeper. My ds 1 was a horrible sleeper. Heck, even at 4 he would wake up in the middle of the night to tell me he'd like a pair of socks. I'm not sure if we did a whole lot differently, but ds2 was a unicorn sleeper. We did have some issues with ditching the swaddle and pacifier replacement, but literally night and day. So there is hope! We also do crib in their room from night 1. Our current issue is that ds2 loves his crib so so much, and I don't want to ruin him by taking it away.

I have also been talking about the snoo with my H. I think we are going to do the wait and see if this baby is a horrible sleeper like his brother first. I will feel no shame ordering it if I need it, luckily H agrees. We are both not very nice people when we don’t sleep.

My child slept in her swing in the living room for four months. I’m not sorry. She’d sleep in 4 hour stretches! Put her in the bassinet and she’d scream every 20 minutes.

Work is actually going to drive me insane today. Too much work and not enough me. I refuse to work OT so I have to scramble all day for 8 hours putting out one fire after another. Maternity leave is a vacation compared to this stuff.
Speaking of leave, I had to call in to set up my open claim for maternity leave starting in November yesterday. Which basically means I am officially out at work.
