One of my all time favs is Leinenkugel’s Honey Weiss with a lemon wedge squeezed into it. So refreshing! I also love good ol Spotted Cow from New Glarus. MH just got a 6 pack of Sam Adams Porch Rocker and that was pretty delicious. We have a local brewery that makes this amazing beer called King Kula: King Kula II is a golden pineapple wheat ale aged in Cadenhead (Trinidad) Spiced Rum barrels. Mmm - Spotted Cow! My favorite

What are your opinions on nitro brews? The ones I have had tasted like watery beer or like I was tasting a hologram of beer. Or like if you brewed a second pot of coffee from the same grounds. So disappointing. I love nitro beers. I have mentioned a local one that I am fortunate to have access to. Skake from Boulder Brewing is another good one.

I’m don’t often stray from my New Glarus fruit beers, but, a few months back I tried a delicious passion fruit IPA from Sketchbook in Evanston.

The Waldos special ale from Lagunitas is fucking spectacular if you can find it. My store was all out last time I was there.

My two favorites right now are from Frost Brewery and Foley Brothers in VT. I also love Treehouse Brewery as well. All are local beers though.

I’m really into imperial IPA’s. Some of my favs include dogfish head 120, fremont-the sister and lush, six-point brewery-hi res, Lakewood brewery-imperial milk stout, rahr and son’s mr wiggles double dank.

I had three saison beers today and it’s for sure my new favorite type of summer beer. My go to in the Summer. They were originally made for farmers to drink while working, so they’re low in alcohol. Perfect for a hot day. As they’re popular in France, a lot of microbreweries get creative and have a ton of options.

I’m into fruit infused beers lately, and I’m seeing a ton of them. They aren’t juice /beer combos, but rather fruit added during the brewing process. They just smell like fruit and are light and fresh (not too sweet). I’ve recently discovered brewdog beer out of Scotland. Their Elvis Juice IPA, which is infused with grapefruit, is freaking awesome. "] There’s a small, rural brewery here that makes a raspberry pale ale and it is pretty damn good. Can’t buy it in stores though

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already, but I'm a huge fan of imperial stouts, and recently discovered Samoa This by Southern Tier. Holy shit this stuff is amazing. Samoa cookie + stout with high alcohol content. It almost makes up for the fact that I couldn't find my favorite imperial anywhere this year (Southern Tier Creme Brulee). I love Southern Tier Choklat. I know thebanich likes their beers too. ::creeps out of lurkerdom:: I do love Southern Tier. I live in WNC so we have a lot of local beer options. Highland Brewing has gotten so much better with small batch stuff. They have a Pineapple IPA releasing soon. It's high gravity and will tear your mouth to pieces if you overindulge though. I'm also a big fan of the hazy stuff recently. Unfiltered IPAs are my jam. MH tried the Hemperor from New Belgium and I about kicked him out. Smelled like a skunk moved into the house 🤢

Are you moving to Seattle? There are so many great breweries here. I like Fremont, but there's a ton more. Ballard has a ton all within walking distance of each other, perfect for brewery hopping. And like foxmulder said, Woodinville is our wine country. A ton of tasting rooms all lined up next to each other. There's definitely something for everyone here! Not Seattle proper, but close. We’d appreciate any suggestions you have. For in Seattle I like: Reuben's, Stoup, Two Beers, Fremont, Optimism, Schooner Exact, Cloudburst, Rooftop, Seapine, Elliot Bay, Naked City, Flying Bike, Hellbent and Holy Mountain. Eastside (Bellevue/Woodinville/Redmond/Kirkland, etc): Black Raven, Bellevue Brewery, Chainline, Flycaster, Bushnell, Postdoc, Triplehorn, Dirty Bucket, Big Block, Sumerian, and Crucible. North Sound (Bothell/Lynnwood/Everett/Mukilteo) Beardslee Public House, Scuttlebutt, Foggy Noggin, Cairn, Nine Yards, Diamond Knot, American Brewing, Salish Sea, At Large, Middleton, and Lazy Boy. South Sound (Renton/Kent/Tacoma): Airways, Geaux, 7 Seas, Harmon, Dsytopian State, North 47, Odd Otter, Tacoma Brewing, Pacific Brewing, Narrows, Gig Harbor, Edison City, Wet Coast, Half Lion, Off Camber, Copper Door and Odin. I'm sure there's some I missed and I know there's a bunch I've never been too. I really think you'll have no problem finding some new favorites!

jubilantsquirrel Thank you!! I enjoyed Cloudburst, but they don’t allow kids so it will make it tricky for us. We will definitely check out your suggestions!

jubilantsquirrel Thank you!! I enjoyed Cloudburst, but they don’t allow kids so it will make it tricky for us. We will definitely check out your suggestions! They for sure don't all allow kids. Optimism has a little area for kids that's gated off. Nothing fancy, just a couple little play houses, but perfect for parents with kids that like to wander (like mine!).

It is surprising that with the craft beer scene here, more places don't have playgrounds or kids areas (though, many breweries are kid friendly). I know people here have mentioned breweries with playgrounds and I want that so badly.

Beer is my favourite form of alcohol! My favourite local beer is Prairie Sun Toffee 5. It’s pretty much become their signature and every time we introduce it to friends they agree its their favourite Traveling my favourite brewery and beer I’d have to say is Maui Brewing, specifically the coconut porter They distribute to Canada but not to where I live and I long for it. H had a friend over this winter when I was still pregnant and I woke up in the morning to find empty cans of this and I nearly pregnant raged that his friend got his hands on some and I missed out lol.

I haven’t read the entire thread yet, but this is my favourite summer beer for all the fruit infused beer fans. Sour cherry lambic. It’s the most delicious thing ever.

I found a Modern Times brewery sour passion fruit and guava gose at Target the other day and picked some up for H. He is OOT this week, so I won't hear a report until later, but I hope he likes it!

tiffrobot, I love Maui Brewing. Their Big Swell IPA is one of my faves. I love IPAs the most, Dogfish Head 90 minute, Odell Tree Shaker Peach imperial IPA, and Stone IPA are my favorites that are easier to get. Local IPAs I love are Tributary Brewery in Kittery, Maine and Community Beer Mosaic IPA out of Dallas. I’m also a big fan of Belgian strong ales and firmly believe Unibroue La Resolution is the greatest ever made. I’ve never met a porter or sour that I liked and I’ve tried a lot. Damn I miss beer.
