brux I love Choklat too. Southern Tier and Terrapin are pretty much my default go-tos if I'm not feeling adventurous (which, when it comes to craft beer, is pretty much never, I love trying new stuff) I think the only Southern Tier I've had that I didn't like was Choklat Oranj, which is Choklat with a bit of citrus to it. Also, Terrapin's Wake-n-Bake is where it's at. This thread is making me hope the next 30 mins before I leave work go by fast.

Along the lines of Sam Adams '76, their Cherry Wheat is a good fruit beer too. I don't love Sam Adams, but Cherry Wheat and Brick Red (which you used to only be able to find in Boston, idk if that's changed) are really good.

I just got a few things. I really should stick to the local packies so I don't spend my entire paycheck on beer. jaidit the red cans are a Canadian sour beer that they were sampling. The Kona is infused with pineapples

thatgolfb, we were thinking about going to Ballast Point while we are in SD next week. Is the food good there too? I haven't gotten food there since they changed locations. But I remember the fries being good! Then again when are fries not good...

I’m into fruit infused beers lately, and I’m seeing a ton of them. They aren’t juice /beer combos, but rather fruit added during the brewing process. They just smell like fruit and are light and fresh (not too sweet). I’ve recently discovered brewdog beer out of Scotland. Their Elvis Juice IPA, which is infused with grapefruit, is freaking awesome. I'm only a few posts in. Brewdog is all over the place here now because they opened their first US outpost here. MH loves Elvis Juice.

I feel like I can't remember what any of it tastes like, it's been so long. My local favorites are
Columbus Brewing Company: IPA and Thunderlips Seventh Son: Black Sheep Stout Two Tones: IPA, Uncle Joe's Irish Red Ale, KDawg Kolsch
I also like Stone Brewing Co IPA.

MH's favorite beer is Reuben's. It's local to Seattle, but I feel like they might distribute to other places? I know we can get it at Costco, so IDK. I love any wheat ale, especially with fruit. I had a raspberry one this past weekend at La Conner Brewery and it was really good! We're going down to Portland at the end of June and I can't wait to hit some breweries. Definitely looking forward to Base Camp and Ex Novo, among many others. My BFF just got back from a weekend trip and he went to Great Notion and he loved it. He’s bringing over some beers tonight for me to try.

Standby favorites: Alaskan Amber Alaskan White Ale Fremont Wandering Wheat Dick’s 12 Man Pale Ale Widmer Drop Top Amber Ninkasi Tricerahops IPA
Seasonal Favorites: Fremont Summer Ale Alaskan Winter Ale
I could probably go on forever but I have favorite breweries more than favorite beers.
Eta: those are all local-ish, so probably won’t find them outside the PNW?

I love this thread. I just bought a mixed pack the other night. I had a Hanalei IPA with passion fruit, orange and guava last night that was really good. I also tried an Abita strawberry blonde and a Blue Point summer ale. I have in my fridge a Harpoon mango-something and a Magic Hat elderberry wheat. I am very excited to try them out.

Funny story about Dogfishhead-we were in Palm Springs a few years ago and the employees were having some type of retreat that was a bocce ball tournament. They had theme teams-"Married with Children," Where's Waldo?, a team that wore S&M gear. I really wish that their office was closer to me because that looked like fun.

Oh hi. I live here now. I have s'mores porter form Saranac in my fridge now and and orange honey Belgian tripel from New Belgium brewing I believe. Both are pretty tasty. I had a new one from Lagunitas a few weeks ago the was fucking bomb...and I can't remember the name of it at the moment. It was incredible. Also, I really really like Sam Adam's Fresh as Helles. I try to buy something different every time I go to the liquor store. The only beer I'm not crazy about right now are sours. Like, I will take a few sips but I can't do a whole one. IPAs, stouts, porters, wheat beers...gimme gimme
We have several fantastic local breweries as well.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned already, but I'm a huge fan of imperial stouts, and recently discovered Samoa This by Southern Tier. Holy shit this stuff is amazing. Samoa cookie + stout with high alcohol content. It almost makes up for the fact that I couldn't find my favorite imperial anywhere this year (Southern Tier Creme Brulee). Not an imperial, but I bet you would like Highwater Campfire Stout. I usually save my darks for cooler weather, but this is my summer exception.

The one I bought today I did only because they had a tasting and it tasted pretty good. ETA: fixed about ten grammar mistakes.

What are your opinions on nitro brews? The ones I have had tasted like watery beer or like I was tasting a hologram of beer. Or like if you brewed a second pot of coffee from the same grounds. So disappointing.
