Do you use salt and pepper shakers in your home?

Standard and novelty. I have a standard set next to the stove to season while cooking. DH's grandma is into the novelty ones and gives them as gifts so I have Easter, Christmas, fall, Disney...some of these did not get packed for the move.
I'm honestly shocked at people that do not have any

I do. I don't want to brag, but I got them from the dollar store 2 for a $1.
Try not to be jealous.

I have a little ceramic jar for salt and a pepper grinder that I use for cooking. I own some shakers (just regular) but we don’t really use them unless we have a lot of people over for dinner, which is rare. I don’t think they even have anything in them.

I honestly didn't even realize it was an option to not have salt and pepper shakers. We have salt and pepper grinders and a small salt shaker for hard boiled eggs.

We used to before we moved, now we don't. I just have the grinders for both salt and pepper that are kept in the kitchen.

I have a ceramic container with a lid for salt and a pepper grinder next to the stove for cooking. I probably have shakers somewhere. But we typically don't add salt and pepper to our food once it's plated.

I have so many sets that just sit in a cupboard. I get kinda salty when someone asks for them, because it's like they are saying I didn't season the food properly.

I have a salt cellar and use a pepper grinder.
We do keep a salt shaker for guests that may be weirded out by a salt cellar.

No, we season all our food when cooking. If you need more, then it comes from the bottle.

We have grinders for salt and pepper, both in the kitchen and on the dining room table. Like adelbert we have a salt shaker that’s mostly used for hard boiled eggs or corn on the cob.

I measure out of containers for recipes. Then we have a normal set of shakers that is constantly not where I need them to be.

Huh. Didn't realize there could be so many answers.
We have just a small, plain salt shaker and a small, plain pepper grinder on the table.
I have big containers of both in my spice cabinet for cooking.

We have 8 inch grinders for each that get used while cooking and then back into the spice cabinet. They are never left out.

We have a set of pure white bull dogs. The only dogs that will ever be in our home.
My ils don't have any shakers and it is the weirdest thing for me, coming from a family who likes to abuse them at the dinner table. They actually rarely use the two in cooking even. They didn't bring or buy either while we were on vacation and just ate plain scrambled eggs every morning. It shook me to my core.

We have salt and pepper shakers, but 99% of the time we use the big containers the s&p came from the store in.

We have grinders for both in the kitchen. We usually use other seasonings to flavor our foods to the point they aren’t needed.

Currently we use just basic salt and pepper shakers, but I also have a collection of around 200 sets of novelty salt and pepper shakers from my grandma. She has dementia and in a moment of clarity she t's me she wanted me to have them, not anyone else, so they are currently in my basement. Once we have the space, I plan to display them and use some of them. That's probably a confession.

I have hedgehogs. SO upgraded our home to grinders for both. I desperately want these but he calls me ridiculous.

Mine are the plain cheap ones. Just glass shakers with screw on lids. We use them often enough to not want to mess with the containers.

I said novelty, but they are mini little grinders for sea salt and peppercorns.

Using them to season my eggs is half of what I use salt and pepper for. That and garlic powder.

Salt cellar and pepper grinder for kosher salt and black pepper, various specialty salts and peppers in their original containers and a set of china shakers for the table when we entertain. Apparently I take salt and pepper seriously?

We do have a pepper grinder though and that gets used more than the plain pepper in the shaker.

I got salt and pepper grinders for our wedding, but I hate how they release chunky pieces of salt and pepper, so I threw them away.
I just use the containers of salt and pepper, but I'd love a goofy set for the dinner table.
