Since we're talking vibrators I will share my embarrassing story. When I was in grad school I lived about an hour away from my parents. One Saturday morning they just randomly showed up at my apartment. No phone call, nothing. I just got a raise. It's not much but I guess it's the thought that counts. RIGHT?!?! I mean, yes, any raise is good. But some of them feel like a slap in the face. Like, you work your ass off, hear the profits of the company, then get some measly amount. Sometimes it pisses you off. Projecting for my H who knows the millions in profits his company makes, thanks to a company wide email, then received a 3% raise. This. Our stock was at a record high but somehow company wide the average raise was 1.2% and there were no bonuses. Unless you're an upper level executive, of course. Fucking bloodsuckers. |

inthekitty that’s how I was feeling at work. I’m lucky to be on extended leave. I have never been better. From 9-3 I do as much or as little as I want. It’s amazing. I planned on taking some classes but I doubt I will. I go back and forth between I will go back to teaching, I will stay home forever, or I will go into administration. I though I would be bored at home but it’s hasn't happened yet. I think I could not work for an extended period of time and never get bored. I have enough hobbies on the back burner that I never get to do. I'm retiring the day I can. I work with all these old loser docs with no life. Unless they have seriously fucked up with gambling or are intertwined with the Russian mob, there is no reason they shouldn't have $$$ money to retire. Yet here they are. Cantankerous Dr. Bob who's in his 70s rolling in here every day bitching about benign nonsense. I know he has at least 2 retirement funds that have to be hefty, and apparently he has nothing better to do than sit around in this building without windows all day and eat the same damn broth for lunch everyday. That will not be my life. I'll be the grandma scaling Machu Picchu, taking the grandkids to Disney, knitting, and busting out the crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. My old heart was built for retirement. |

I'm here, sorry I was napping. Didn't mean to leave you guys hanging!
I called and a nurse ran interference, but I still belted out my litany of complaints on how the ball was dropped on this, how NO ONE from the practice even bothered to call me, and how I am not feeling confident in my doctors to be upfront and transparent with me. Also, on top of it all, I was left not even knowing when I am scheduled to come in next!
She was of course very apologetic and reached out to the doctors to let them know and confirm that I am scheduled for Monday at 6am. I asked her to please leave a message for the senior doctor to give me a call because I want him to have my feedback on how this went down. I said luckily I have been through this before and know the drill, but imagine if I was a first time mom? Even with being a veteran I feel like an afterthought, and I want them to know that.
Hoping all this stress puts me into labor and I mess up someone's weekend plans. Hmmph.

A lot of Texas Children's is in Network, it'll just be narrowing down the correct doctor that specializes in immunology. It looks like the Texas Allergy Group is in Network, too. |

I would also start small and work your way up. There are a LOT of options and it can be overwhelming...and kind of scary. I wouldn't recommend going ALL in on the first one (like multiple speeds, crazy size, etc), but start with something that doesn't scare you. Also, if your H is into it, take him with you. Or look online together. |

Oh my gosh....laughing so hard....I am a member of an Amazon product review group where you get free stuff for reviews. Ironically enough the leader of the group just posted a "massager" as an item available for review. Today was the day i laid off two people, only i laid off one because the other called in sick. Hi! You guys are chatty today! I’ve checked in sporadically hoping for baby news!
We are flying to Wisconsin in a few weeks to visit my sister and my kids are driving me crazy by asking me a million times a day when we are goin, what we’re packing, what time we’re leaving for the airport, ect. I know they’re excited but its driving me up the wall!

Somehow I left 2 pacifiers at the pedi. One during his regular appointment and one during an xray they ordered (he's fine). Now I can't find any! Also, A is now almost on the regular growth curve for weight! On the preemie scale he's in the 75th percentile.
