Nursery is finally done.
The rest of the house is a mess because we spent the time on the nursery. Today we are cleaning DD’s room (because she moved into a different room so all her stuff is just piled on the floor.)

I've got 12 days until eviction day O.O holy cow. I'm sooo itchy this morning. I don't know if the meds are making it worse or what because I've never been itchy in the morning :-(

Had my 36 week appt yesterday. Eviction date (scheduled C, because they don't want me past 39 weeks) is June 22, but the doctor basically said that she can't imagine me lasting that long. Baby is measuring at 6 lbs 6 oz and looks perfect and is HEAD DOWN so I get to try for a VBAC if everything looks good when/if I go into labor! Ready to meet another sweet baby girl.
Anyone on the board have VBAC experience??

I’m so done. 38 + 5 today and baby can come whenever they want now. We had my parents up for Memorial Day lunch and my mom said that 6/3 would be a good birthday and that she’d see us again on Sunday. So of course I’ve got in my head that I’m going to go into labor this weekend and am over annualizing every cramp, twitch, etc hoping it turns into something. But I’m all actuality, as long as I don’t go 12 days over my EDD like I did with DD, I *think* I’ll be OK with it.

We had quite the morning of lots of spit up action and a poopsplosion. So much laundry.

Sorry to all those overdue! I feel like our board has had more than it's fair share.

Sorry to all those overdue! I feel like our board has had more than it's fair share. Maybe this is our price to pay for no one having gestational diabetes. I did not want to be the sacrificial lamb though.

I'm still 2 weeks out from EDD and I'm already getting the daily "just checking on you" from my mother & MIL. Being badgered about labor signs or lackthereof was the most irritating thing about going a week overdue last time. Officially can't find the newborn or 0-3 month clothes, so I need to buy a few until my BFF in Texas can get me her son's hand me downs. Yay for getting to buy cute tiny baby things! theduchess, no experience but I hope you get your VBAC! Glad baby is cooperating thus far!

TTMA hospital visitors. I'm trying to decide when is the best time to tell people to come (with the exception of my 2 closest friends). I'm thinking that the 2nd day would be best for me to start having visitors?

Second babies are earlier they all said. My experience is the first comes the earliest. The other two had zero interest in vacating until they were actually removed.

Speedy, for our first baby we didn't have family in town so we asked for a couple days to get home and settled and then people visited. I'm happy with that decision because for us, having a baby was a HUGE change and it sort of felt like living in the twilight zone for several months. This time we are experienced so we've decided we'd be happy to have my family come visit a couple hours after the surgery and the in laws are coming the next day. The only thing I'm a tad anxious about is if we haven't fully decided on the baby name. I really don't want any outside input or pressure.

L is a puker (vomit in addition to spit up). I am buried under mountains of clean laundry that I don’t have time to fold and put away, and as soon as I put a load in the washer, there’s another one piling up before that cycle is even done. It’s so bad that I’ve stopped wearing clothes in the house, and I have him in just a diaper.

I'm thinking that the 2nd day would be best for me to start having visitors? I’ve only ever been in the hospital for two days, so when people visit that was the day to come. We let our parents come the night that the boys were born. One thing to keep in mind is that you’re going to be exhausted, and if you’re breastfeeding, there’s a huge learning curve with that. I would recommend limiting visitors, even your parents, to set times of the day (ex between 9-11 and 4-6) and give yourself large blocks of time to rest, bond with the baby, and practice breastfeeding.

DH decided that he’s going to smoke a couple of pork butts tomorrow. It’s going to take 12-15 hrs. So basically I can’t go into labor tomorrow.

budders my parents won't be here until July and my in laws won't be coming until the weekend, so no issues there, more of friends and coworkers wanting to visit. I am going to allow my 2 closest friends to come as they want though, but I know they both won't get offended if I tell them to eff off for a bit lol

I am a mess. I am literally wanting to cry if I have to go any longer-I am only 38 weeks.
I have slight carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands which makes everything SO difficult. I am so swollen my feet hurt. My heartburn is out of control. She just needs to come so I could feel normal again.

I'm thinking that the 2nd day would be best for me to start having visitors? I told people we would let them know when we're ready for visitors. You have no idea how you'll respond to anything or if there will be complications. With my emergency csection and 4am delivery, I had people come starting at 3pm. With my RCS and 8am delivery we had our son come first and he got there around 5pm. About 12 hours after you get your spinal the nurses will come in to pull your catheter and start to get you walking. I preferred not to have people (aside from H) present for all that. Both times people came mostly in the evening since they were off work then. My hospital's visiting hours for the maternity ward are technically 12-8 and the nurses will kindly tell people that you don't want visitors night now.

MH keeps buying all this crap food from the store because "you want it". Except I don't, and with the cholestasis I'm actually eating very little right now, so he ends up eating most of it. Thank you for thinking of me, H, but don't say you want to start eating better and then keep putting that on me.
