My mom and I are getting matching rosemary tattoos. They mean remembrance, loyalty and love. And since we've burried 11 relatives it seems appropriate. We're getting them here, see below. Like on the front of the top part of our arm. What do you guys think of this one? I'm thinking more green on the leaves and more purple on the flowers. She's super excited and wants me to pick it out. So I'm looking around. I'm hoping we can get them in like 2 weeks.

There is a private Facebook page where the teachers are posting pictures of DS’s trip. They are at dinner at a buffet. My kid appears to be eating bread and a giant piece of chocolate cake. I’m glad he’s having fun.

Work was good today. But I’m either getting sick of dying of allergies. I’m running out when Dh gets home to go pick up some Zyrtec. My throat hurts and I’m coughing so I think it may be a cold.


I would not be ok with C gone a month but I could do a week or so. My in laws took him last summer for 4 nights and will take him again this summer again we have a concert to go to, nice dinners planned and a night at Foxwoods. Dh spent two weeks every summer at his grandparents and they want to do the same with their grandkids when they get older. They even got bunk beds so all three could sleep together and made a playroom in their basement.

On the NST. Ultrasound looks fine. I am beyond annoyed. I don't mind giving baby more time, but now all the sudden it's no longer so important that I induce right away? Why because my doctors have weekend plans? I would have rather been left alone than have gone through all this scheduling BS.

Don't make it sound like a health issue to induce when it's convenient, and then it no longer matters when it's not.

B had a tball game tonight so he and DH didn't get home til 7:30 or so. I got him bathed and put to bed while mH went out for Chinese take-out. We're going to watch the finale The Americans tonight, did anyone watch last night?

Re: extended stay with grandparents- I often stayed weekends in the summers with my grandparents. All the cousins would. And it was the best! They live on a lake so there was lots of swimming and junk food and fun with cousins!

S has stayed with my parents 2 nights 2 different times when we had something going on. But she will stay 2 weeks with them in Oct when we go to Fiji! I’m nervous about leaving her that long. I know I’m going to miss her like crazy.

I guess? I got no clear answers and my OB was not there. I am calling tomorrow after I calm down a bit. I still plan to make it clear I am not happy about how this went down.

I just need to rest and I'll get back in the right headspace. It's tough bc my ILs are here and a million people are texting me and I am resenting that I could have just had a nice quiet weekend to not have a baby in peace.

Class dinner was a blast. The kids were still amped up from their visit to the elementary school and the bus ride.

I missed out on our annual corporate awards to go to the dinner. No big deal, I don't even think anyone in our office was ever recognized before last year. So clearly I got one of the major awards! It's one for selflessness and basically putting the goal ahead of recognition. Meanwhile I have been annoyed by the lack of recognition, so now I feel like a fraud! Haha. Anyhow I was getting texts about it while a train of sugared-up 4 and 5 year olds danced around me. Kind of funny.

Today has been non stop. I just showered and am finally on the couch. I was stinky from being outside all day.

Dh is still out working in the garage. I spent all afternoon and part of the evening out there. No fighting so far, but he is literally doing everything except touching his workbench which is the worst part of the garage. I just keep biting my tongue. He went and bought all sorts of new hooks to hang our bikes and the shovels/yard tools... which where already hanging so shouldn’t have needed to be bothered. Seriously man, just clean the workbench so I can find a screwdriver when I need one!

Hi from the road. We got a later start than anticipated. I got off a bit early, but had to run to flamingo’s favorite store, Dillards. By the time I got the boys bathed, fed, and the little extras packed, it was 30 minutes past leave time and I couldn’t find my phone. I somehow threw it in my suitcase.

I’m also annoyed at fedex. I ordered clothes for M from Gymboree for this weekend. It shipped out last Wednesday and it’s still not in. It was in GA two days ago and it’s still there. So now I have to go out tomorrow to find M an outfit for the graduation. I have a pair of shorts that may work, so I may just have to find a shirt for him.

I got to go out for drinks with a friend and it was nice for us both to get out.

We had the same issue with FedEx and something I ordered for B last week...it showed as driving around on a FedEx truck one town over for 3 or 4 days. IDK what the deal was. Annoying.

Thanks everyone! DH's only response was to ask repeatedly if there was a monetary component of the award. I'm pretty sure there isn't but that's not the point. These awards are a huge deal in my company. I know he doesn't get the culture but couldn't he just recognize that I was really happy?

He was stuck in bed with a headache this morning. Karma.
