Oh, I saw that on FB.  I'm in a FB group for LOTO boaters.  It's kind of funny because the same thing has been done down there in the 90s.  And Party Cove isn't what is was at that time.  I'll be interested in how it plays out.  We are going to LOTO in July, but I'll be with the in laws and my kid, on a pontoon, so you won't see me on that show! (I hope)

dapostrophe Happy baby day! Hope the induction and deliver go smooth and you are holding your sweet girl before the end of day!

I did sleepovers at one of my grandparent's when I was younger. I traveled with her one state over to visit family a bunch, but that's it. My sister got to do vacations with her a few times, but by the time I was old enough, they stopped traveling as much. I would love to do weeks with the kids away now. M will be going to my ILs for a week at the end of the summer, which is 7 hours away. My mom still works, so it doesn't work out with her. She would be okay having just M, but I'm not ready to leave M2 with anyone yet. Maybe in a year when he is more verbal. I wish we lived closer to one of the grandparents so we could do weekends without the kids a few times a year.

This is what I miss, too. Now it's such a huge production...DH's parents are limited by work schedules and they're still a 6-hour drive away; mine are more flexible but are a day's drive or plane flight away. Makes a little weekend getaway really tough.

We are trying to go away in the fall before DH's squadron deploys and trying to figure out the childcare piece is stressing me out.

The hospital is still full. They are going to call me back at 3, but it doesn't sound promising. My practice doesn't do inductions on Friday, so I'm not sure what the plan will be.

That's frustrating. I hate the sitting around waiting and not knowing game more than anything. Bounce on all the exercise balls, walk a lot, eat pineapple. Or don't if you don't feel like it and just try to relax on the couch.

I am just annoyed because I had asked for this Saturday initially because it was easier to schedule help on a weekend, and the docs made a big deal about how I should come in today at the latest. 😒

Oh yikes. I didn't realize you're almost a week overdue. No wonder you're ready to get baby moving. I totally understand about not wanting to get things moving when they are busy though. It's also annoying when docs send mixed messages, well is it really important to be in today if they then cancel on you.  That's so frustrating. Maybe she'll decide to come on her own tomorrow or SAT.

My OB also doesn’t schedule inductions on Fridays, but they made an exception for me with C bc I was so far along (dilation/effacement-wise) and almost a week overdue. If you’re having some contractions and aren’t locked up like Ft Knox, any chance they’d cut you a break and try tmrw?

That is annoying dapostrophe. I would cry, but that’s the type A planner in me. When the plan doesn’t go into action, I am not well.

Hope the hospital clears out by Saturday and she comes on her own then!

Hi! Had a wonderful day. Dd loved her presents, we went to the zoo and she had hotdogs and ice cream for dinner. Still can’t believe my baby girl is 2, 2!!!
