Dd1 just came out of her room and told us, "I am Moana. You are Moana's mommy and daddy. Dd2 is Pua." Pua is Moana's pig. Sounds fair, right? Ha.

kcrkcs I highly recommend door dash or other similar food delivery apps if they are in service where you are going. It was worth the delivery fee to avoid restaurant hysterics.

Oh and I meant to say that the pony story is adorable. It is amazing how much these kiddos know and understand now and how they manage to get what they want!

We had an awesome day yesterday. We went on another hike which involved way more uphill walking than we had anticipated, but the girls were pretty good (ok, lots of whining toward the end, but no crying and we made it) and once we got there we all enjoyed it. On the way back to the car we passed a strawberry field and decided to pick a box of fresh strawberries, which I had always wanted to do with the DDs but had never gotten around to researching where they are around us. Then we stopped at McD's and finished with a relaxing afternoon at home. The only downer to the day was finding a tick on DD1 after bathtime. Besides Lyme disease (which can be treated with antibiotics), here a lot of ticks carry tick-borne encephalitis, which is really scary and not treatable. It's just a hope and pray and try to treat the symptoms situation. So I'll be watching DD1 like a hawk over the next few weeks. The incubation period is anywhere from 2 - 30 days. Awesome. All the websites are like "the younger you are, the less severe the course. Usually. Except for this case of a 10 yr old boy who now has to be fed and can't talk or walk. Or this little 6-month-old who got it and died. Or..." you get the picture. I had to put down the Google.

p.s. On a cuteness note, DH uses the "Ok, Google..." feature on his phone a lot. I don't. Ever. Anyway, the other day the DDs wanted to know what the weather was going to be like, and DD2 (4) said, "Mama, Papa asks his Google. Don't you have a Google?" ::giggle:: And my response: "Nope, I don't have a Google. You'd better go ask Papa."

crimsonandclover sounds like you guys had a great day. Ticks are fucking horrible little creatures. Glad you found the one so you can at least be vigilant, but sorry for the worry.

kcrkcs, that is ADORABLE. Be proud! crimsonandclover, your day sounds amazing (except the tick). I hope all is well. RE: pterodactyl baby. I have much anxiety about our upcoming vacation. The only plus is that there are going to be four other adults to help out with DD2. But in general, 😬😬😬

K had another awful night and woke up too early. She should be even more pleasant today. Her big sister is joining in the fun with some sass. Imma need some strength to make it through today.

Also H keeps using my sugar free creamer. He bought regular creamer at Costco and I drink enough coffee that I didn't want to use regular, so I bought my own sugar free. He keeps using it to finish it off before we open the regular. Guess what, H, I'm getting more sugar free. Go nuts on the regular.
It's a stupid little thing but it bugs me.

Keeping my rant going because it's helping I think...
Seriously, H. Do you really think the best time to ask me when I'm going to start something that's basically silly and unimportant is when you're walking out the door to go to work and leaving me with a screaming angry baby? I'll get to it when I get to it.
We started a summer checklist for my older daughter of stuff she has to do each day before she can watch tv or use her tablet. He wanted to know when we were going to get started in it this morning. When DD2 quits screaming at me, ok?

It does Lumos, which turns on the flashlight, Nox, which turns it off, and Silencio which turns the sound off. I was very excited to learn this.
