This was my take on it, as well. I'm sure some days things get off-schedule but generally I'm laissez-faire about that kind of thing. I might also feel differently b/c B is only there part-time. Also, my B is an incredibly unreliable witness. I mean, most days my H will ask what he did at school at the dinner table, and B will say they talked about airplanes and painted snowmen. That's his little pat answer to get us off his back, LOL. eta: I saw vino 's follow-up...Vino, maybe this is a sign that you should open your own childcare center? Lol. No. I do not want to open a daycare. I want the one that I'm paying $2k a month to do their job. If it takes me asking what they are doing everyday to ensure that they are making the decisions based on the kids, i will continue to do so. My kids are there for 9.5 hours a day and, for example, questioning why they haven't gone outside for days on end is not something I should have to do, but how coincidental is it that they start going outside twice a day after I bring it up? Hmmmm. I'm not interested in micro managing the care my kids should get. I would be annoyed as well. Oops, hit post too soon. Especially on nice days, I expect them to be outside playing. There's no reason they should come home going stir-crazy when they've been playing with other kids for 9 hours. I know things come up since I use an in-home, so now she has to take them with her to go grocery shopping or doctor's appointments. But without those special circumstances I expect them to go outside everyday.

I read your OP as more the order of activities was off, vs. things just not happening. If that is the case, it sounds like laziness on the part of the staff. I agree that you shouldn't have to remind them to do that type of thing.

Morning. About to head in to the pedi for P's shots and two month well visit. Nothing else on the agenda today. <iframe width="31.519999999999982" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 31.519999999999982px; height: 3.5600000000000023px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_72237899" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="31.519999999999982" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 31.52px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1508px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_35046094" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="31.519999999999982" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 31.52px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 118px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_34711244" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="31.519999999999982" height="3.5600000000000023" style="position: absolute; width: 31.52px; height: 3.56px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1508px; top: 118px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_71986237" scrolling="no"></iframe> How is she feeling lately? Terrible. She just vomited her whole dose of the rotovirus vaccine. So I need to bring her back to try administering that again. She's 9lb 6oz now (same exact size as Dude when he was born) so we're going to double her dose of Zantac and see how that works. If it's not helping much we'll try Prevacid. But she's gaining really well, she's in the 79th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. She's catching up fast and the doctor said she's very alert and strong for a preemie.

Ya, I didnt put too many details in my OP flamingo, sorry, my bad. It's just a lot of little things that have gotten us to the point where we decided to look around at other options.

I can't imagine a daycare not wanting to take the kids outside. Even when it's hot as balls here, they go outside twice a day. When it's freaking cold (don't laugh), they still go out twice. The teachers need that time. Lol.

Finished a target, mall, and Costco runs. Brought lunch home for C before he left for work. I'm going to take a nap then cleaning the bathroom.

Yay tallb! Great news. Hope you find something that works for you vino. I just talked to MH and he said that Cass had a frustrating day at school because a kid kept touching her from behind even after she told him to stop. I was proud listening to him tell her that he'd talk to the teacher about it because she has control over her body and no one has the right to touch her if she doesn't want them to. Good job dad.

I get that it's effort on the front and back-end (esp. if kids are having to bundle up or put on sunscreen, etc) but why would you not want to let them burn off some energy?

Cadence's teacher has stopped taking them out in the afternoon. She says it is too hot. I say, take them outside, the kids don't care about the temperature and not going outside makes Cadence a terror at bedtime. In the jr. Kinder class that teacher doesn't take them outside at all, from what I understand. She says it is to prepare them for a kinder schedule, but...I'm pretty sure they still play outside in kindergarten. I have a feeling Cadence and this teacher will clash come August when she transfers into there.

So the windshield guy just left...and will be back in about another week with another windshield and a piece that he broke off. The windshield that is now installed has a scratch in the layers of glass. I called H for his input, since I can't feel anything on the inside or outside and he told me not to accept it.
I swear.
ETA the piece that broke off is not part of the windshield, but a plastic trim part that fits between the windshield and hood.

I swear. wtf I should have been more clear about 'piece that he broke off' is not part of the windshield itself, but some plastic trim. I almost accepted the windshield as is, but knew I needed to get H's input. He said if there is a crack in the layers of glass, it will likely continue to crack. The Jeep is a lease, that I'll turn in next March, so I'm not accepting it.

I'm the same confused on why the teacher's wouldn't want take the kids outside. That is unacceptable. I actually had the opposite problem. At M's old school, for the summer schedule, they were outside too much IMO. The schedule was set to where they were only inside for an hour during the morning, then again for lunch/nap. We were literally paying for them to play outside all day during the months of June, July, August.

I don't understand teachers NOT taking the kids out - that seems so self-defeating? Especially as they get older and can play pretty independently. It sure seems to beat having a classroom of overactive kids with a massive excess of energy.

We called and left a message for the repair guy our landlady uses. I work in a house that was converted to an office so it's not like we have a maintenance crew or anything. I'm guessing it won't get fixed tomorrow either.
