I’m sorry tgrimes . Hope things start looking up soon. How has H been since his procedure? Surgery was Tuesday. Friday he had fluid coming out of his right ear. Saturday it was coming out of both and he had a fever of 101 Fri-Sun. Well, shit. I'm really sorry.

Morning. DH was told he didn’t need to go in to work today so he’s home. I am going to go to work in a few minutes for a few hours. My children are whiny/crying so I don’t mind. It’s hot out but I think it’s supposed to thunderstorm later.

I just went on an unfriending spree on FB. Down about 20 people. It feels oddly satisfying to organize my digital life. *clicks over to FB to make sure we're still friends*

vino what's happening with the current DC that you want to leave? I hope you find something quickly! Oh just a lot of little things. I am constantly having to check up on when and how long they're going outside, when snack was, if it was too late, etc. B's 'teachers' are ridiculous, they have an amazing opportunity to run it like a preschool room and IMO don't, when things have happened I get half the story from the 'teacher' and the real story from B, etc. Another Mom was like, 'oh just bring it up to the director'...and although I'm all about communication for specific incidents I feel like 15 minutes a few times a week standing in someones office asking about how they're doing their jobs is not my job. No one stands outside my cubicle daily to tell me how to do my job, KWIM? Anyway, it's been months and for the price we pay I'm not happy.

I just went on an unfriending spree on FB. Down about 20 people. It feels oddly satisfying to organize my digital life. *clicks over to FB to make sure we're still friends* lolz. Of course you are. I have approximately 587 cousins and it was mostly them. I had unfollowed many trumpers ages ago and I thought why am I keeping them as my FB friends when I don't even care what they have to say? Also people that are inactive. They likely never do anything period with FB, but I don't like the idea of them being able to check out my info when they have posted since 2016. If they never "like" or comment on any of the things I post or they don't post much of anything from their actual lives just 827 memes a day I ditched them. One of my veteran acquaintances wants to constantly remind everyone she's a veteran and literally posted about 13 different Memorial Day memes. We get it, you served, and it's great to honor those who served, but 1, or certainly 2 shared messages should suffice.

vino I agree, that is frustrating. No, you should not have to ask all those questions, then just get partial answers from the school, only for B to tell you the entire story. (especially because I know how damn long it takes E to tell a story!) I hope you find something else quickly. I made it to the gym. So now I can be lazy the rest of the day. And the windshield guy probably won't show up until 4:30 now.

vino Sorry it's not working out. This is the same daycare that you had chosen because of aftercare when B starts Kindergarten, right? I hope the search returns some good options for you. There are a few things that I question at M2's daycare, but nothing that make me want to change him just yet. I, too, will be glad when the days of day care is behind me.

lahdeedah and guster, yes B starts kinder in the fall but it is only half days, thanks provincial govt . In an ideal world care will be offered at their school, but because it's a brand new school, that has yet to be determined.

Hi hi.
Just got N's official offer to start daycare at J's school in early july 🎉🎉 just need to confirm with N's school that one month notice is fine and I won't be charged for the month of June since I paid a deposit last months tuition. I need to order her a backpack and a lunch box.. can.not.wait to have them at the same place.
Otherwise just battling a headcold. Oh and my work good friend with kids the same age of mine just found out she's having twins😳..full freak out mode. I'm trying to break it to her that she has to do a nanny, she cannot afford 3 kids in full time daycare and one in aftercare (nor could I and hers is pricier than mine). I am viewing this as a cautionary tale...

How do you know how long they are outside/when snack is? I may be a bit hands off though and as long as they are happy and having fun, I'm not too particular. But when it comes to how they interact with kids/mean kids, I am a schools worst nightmare.

Currently sitting in the parking lot of the parts place for our lawn mower, since I broke it yesterday. The boys are both asleep. So I waited until a Salesman walked outside and got him to work with me from the car LOL. So he went to retrieve my parts while I sit in the car.
I need every business to have a drive thru.. bank and post office next and I don't have to get out for either of those lol.

Their daily schedule is posted, but in my conversations about his day on our way home lead me to question things. So now, I ask, every single day. I'm sure they hate me #bigharidontcare So the last daycare had not so nice little kids, great workers and director, and this place has good little friends for him but not so great workers and daycare director. So....that's cool lol.

I'm sure some days things get off-schedule but generally I'm laissez-faire about that kind of thing. I might also feel differently b/c B is only there part-time. Also, my B is an incredibly unreliable witness. I mean, my H will ask what he did at school at the dinner table, and 75% of the time B will say they talked about airplanes and painted snowmen. They've apparently been doing that since January, ha. eta: I saw vino 's follow-up...Vino, maybe this is a sign that you should open your own childcare center?

No. I do not want to open a daycare. I want the one that I'm paying $2k a month to do their job. If it takes me asking what they are doing everyday to ensure that they are making the decisions based on the kids, i will continue to do so. My kids are there for 9.5 hours a day and, for example, questioning why they haven't gone outside for days on end is not something I should have to do, but how coincidental is it that they start going outside twice a day after I bring it up? Hmmmm. I'm not interested in micro managing the care my kids should get.
