Taitai, I don’t know how long they’ll last. I just started using them. I have been using the Japanese body scrub cloths for a couple of years now, and I feel like I get maybe 3 months out of those. Also, my brand rec from the other post was Klairs. I don’t know what Kosiea is, my autocorrect hates me.

I thought maybe you meant Kose, but good to know it’s Klairs. I like that brand a lot - might check that one out for oil cleanser. I just read some negative reviews of the Perfect Whip oil, so maybe best to avoid that one.

Bummer about the perfect whip, Taitai. I hope you find something you like.

I haven’t tried it myself, but before I got the Banila, I was torn between that and the Kose softymo cleansing oil. I may try it when I run low on my Banila. I’m happy with it, but I seem to go through it pretty quickly for the price.
I recently started using Cosrx Good Morning Gel Cleanser and I’m really happy with it so far. It leaves me feeling clean without feeling stripped. And I added Mizon all in one snail repair cream, which I adore! I like it better than the intensive ampoule, and it has a higher snail mucin content. I’ve used it on the kids skin, too, and it really does seem to speed up healing.

It’s more like a lotion and it soaks in very quickly. But if you need a lot of moisture you’ll probably need something in addition to this.

Has anyone used the Dr. Jart+ ceramidin liquid? I like the ingredients (ceramics) and viscosity. The stickiness and especially smell are not pleasant. It smells like pine cleanser to me.
I'm currently using the Ole Henriksen vitamin C Truth Serum that smells pleasantly like an orange cream popsicle in my AM routine. I am trying a sample of the Glow Recipe watermelon moisturizer in my PM routine. Neither of these seem pleasant with the Dr. Jart.

I read below review and added the serum to my wish list. She loved the smell, which was a motivating factor for me! Maybe the scent isn’t so great though. www.skinfullofseoul.com/dr-jart-new-ceramidin-serum-oil-balm-review/If I get it, I’ll let you know how I like it. I’ve heard great things about the watermelon glow recipe too. The Vit C serum smell you are describing sounds amazing. Have you tried any skinfood stuff? They have great scents - like the peach sake pore serum. Love that stuff.

Oh whoops - I should have clarified that the serum reviewed by skinfullofseoul is in the same Dr. jart+ ceramidin line, not the exact same product. I just figured the smell would be the same, which is why I mentioned it. You should totally try Skinfood stuff. I think the scents are really pleasing- the black sugar wash off mask is sooooo enjoyable to use. Ulta carries Skinfood stuff, so if you have a store near you, you can check it out! I’ve been a Skinfood and Innisfree fan for years and years.

I have two skinfood products based on recommendations from here and I love them both. The smell is almost neglible. The only one that smells even a little is the black sugar scrub. It's only when I scoop it out of the tub that I notice it. I don't smell it once it's on.

sheilathetank I agree with you - the smell on the Skinfood stuff dissipates quickly. For me, I do find the scents to be really pleasant right when I take the product out of the container & apply it (especially the peach pore sake serum and the cucumber & lettuce watery emulsion)....I have been known to have a super sensitive nose though, so maybe I just notice it more than most? Glad you love the Skinfood btw.

I'll keep the Skinfood recs in mind.
At 5 weeks PP, I am on a survival mode of skin care. Cleanser, hydration toner, vit C serum, moisturizer and SPF if I am going out of the house. At this point, only the hydration toner and SPF are AB.

This thread has inspired me to up my skincare game which is...pretty nonexistent. The Target near me didn’t have a wide selection but I grabbed two St. Ives masks that Taitai mentioned in the mask box. I’m doing the St. Ives Glowing Apricot mask now. It’s my first time so I have nothing to compare it to but it feels and smells good! I could make a habit of this. I bookmarked a ton of the recommendations in this thread so thank you!

So a few days ago, I did this Sulwhasoo facial signature treatment thing, and it was so nice! It wasn’t a traditional facial - no extractions or modeling mask or anything really involved, but still pretty nice. I think they basically just cleaned my face and then put a ton of Sulwhasoo products on it while giving a massaging facial.
The lady who gave it to me didn’t speak English and unfortunately didn’t tell me what she was using, but I took a look at the table of stuff she had out when I left, and I saw the Radiance Energy Mask, which I am pretty sure she put on my face and let it sit for a good 15 minutes. I liked it - it kind of made my face tingly and warm, but not burning or anything. If it wasn’t so insanely expensive, I would consider buying it.
Overall- a nice hanbang experience - very relaxing and makes me love Sulwhasoo even more. Darn the price tag on all that stuff though. 😩

Just bumping this thread to say I’m enjoying an Entia bubble mask and missing talking to thisbitch about asian beauty stuff! Anyone else have anything they’ve tried recently and liked? I’m trying to use up a bunch of stuff I already have, so no new purchases for me. Still on the hunt for a good eye cream that won’t give me milia though.

I'm finishing up the Klairs supple preparation toner and have the Hada Labo Gokujun lotion lined up next. Also finishing up the non-AB Nip Fab daily glycolic pads and maybe moving on to Wishtrend's 5% Mandelic acid skin prep water.

These are the 2-3% glycolic acid pads. I use them 3x a week. I don't find them particularly drying at that strength and frequency. I follow with the hydrating toner and moisturizer (Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream). I like the convenience of the pre-moistened pads. It does leave stickiness that I am not fond of and has a citrusy scent.

I did two face masks from the Creme Shop. One was kale and the other matcha green tea. I liked both. My mom did their red wine one and it smelled too sickly sweet for me. She also gave me a Burt’s Bees face mask and I did not like it. I couldn’t get a good fit and it didn’t have a lot of liquid.

Does anyone have experience with Botanic Farms Cleansing Sherbet? Costco has a 2 pack for $27. I'm liking my Clinique Take The Day off balm, but it's about $30 a container.

I was shockingly pleasantly surprised by the St. Ives soothing oatmeal sheet mask, so it is possible for western brands too make good ones. Bummer about Burt’s Bees being a dud. Have you tried the Papa’s Recipe bombee honey sheet masks? Amazeballs.

I just started to look into K-beauty too. The little book of skin care : Korean beauty secrets for healthy, glowing skin by Charlotte Cho is book I just borrowed from the library. The author is from Soko Glam, a K-beauty website. It gives good info and some product recs. Pinterest has some good links if you search for it. I search popular cosmetic stores' websites - Ulta and Sephora both have K beauty sections, I think, and I read the reviews. I also just started subscribing to Mishibox and Bomibag. (Reviews for previous boxes can be found on mysubscriptionaddiction.com) That book by Charlotte Cho is great! I've been impressed by the Asian beauty selection at Target too. Definitely a pleasant surprise that they have stuff like My Beauty Diary Sheet masks and Missha stuff. The Missha time revolution first treatment Essence is solid and much cheaper than the comparable product from SKII. 👍 Well I listened to a podcast with her today and now I’m here haha. Very intrigued and still only halfway through all of these posts!

I still use about 50% western brands, but I use them in an Asian beauty styled routine. Hit us up for questions or share your thoughts on stuff you’ve tried anytime! This thread has a lot of info it in already - like good bloggers and fav products. Welcome to your new addiction 😉
