Oh my gosh. I just tried the Polatam water gel optimal repairing sheet mask. Amazing. Fantastic fit, smooth as silk, and the material holds so much essence. Not drippy down the neck, doesn’t tent on my nose bridge, and the eye holes are big enough. I’m in love. I got it as part of a three mask set from j.crew during one of their good sales this summer. Ended up getting the 12 masks for about $1.60 each (they are normally $6 each). My ILs are visiting, so they brought the masks out with them and I was able to give the repairing one a go tonight. I am sooooo regretting not buying more when j.crew had them on super sale! Grrrr!!! However, it does make me think that whoever at j.crew picks out the sheet masks - they’re good people. So, if I see good deals on j.crew curated sheet masks in the future, I’m going to pick them up. Glow recipe has them full price, and a place below has them half off, but the ones in below link expire in like 2 weeks. Booo. I think Polatam is going up there with Naruko and Papas Recipe as favorite mask brands for me 👍 koskinbeauty.com/collections/polatam

emma have you tried the banilla co clean it zero? I find it rinses cleaner than the kose speedy cleaner. I've had a few stubborn blemishes on my neck since starting the kose and I think it might be the culprit. It's hard to tell because I've also not been as diligent about my night time routine. I love banilla co clean it zero. I wish it was the same price as the Kose. 😭 ETA - where I live, the banilla is like $60 a jar. Ughhhhhhh. +1 to the Banila co Clean It Zero. I use the purity/purifying version and love. It also travels nicely as it is solid. One heads up though. I have a tiny shower at home and struggle to find a place to open the jar where it won't get water into it and ruin the product. I have paid about $30 for a jar and it lasts me about three months using it twice a day.

While looking up the price of Banila I decided to pull the trigger on the Cosrx low ph cleanser and snail mucin. They are a little cheaper in the UK so I had them shipped to my mum and will pick them up at Christmas. I’m usually a loyal cetaphil user by its impossible to travel with

emma, can you get innisfree reasonably priced? I can’t use the Kose because my face hates mineral oil but I love the innisfree! I use the green apple but they have green tea as well. I don’t know that one, I’ll look it up

Looks like I can get it on amazon.ca but it’s $30 here! Check Canadian eBay. A lot of Korea stores also sell through eBay for about the same price as ordering through them directly. I don't know about how the taxes and import fees work, but I haven't been charged any in the US.

emma, not actually AB, but I got a sample, I like it and it's pretty cheap: Clinique cleansing balm. It rinses really clean and I have acne prone skin as well. I love the snail mucin though, good buy! asunasword, you probably don't need to oil cleanse in the morning since you're not wearing makeup, is your second cleanser cheaper? And in a tube? Then you don't have to deal with the shower issue!

I am loving my k beauty routine, I want to thank you ladies for all of your help! I am hoping to add a couple things with my Christmas money so I would love your thoughts. Right now I'm finishing up two samples and am definitely going to by the full size of the niacin but I'm wondering about toner? I'm thinking this one /manyo-factory-galactomy-clearskin-tonerone , but it is in a spray has anyone used it? Right now I'm doing this routine at night should I be trying anything else? My face feels very moisturized and the redness/ breakouts are so much less it is amazing. Also anything for daytime I might add? I only cleanse then add moisturizer or sometimes a bit of snail if I'm getting a breakout. Thanks! Pm routine Cream cleaner Exfoliating toner Niacin Moistening facial spray Snail ampoule Night cream with 2-3 drops vitamin c serum

On a whim, I bought a new sleeping pack and man, I’m in love.
I like it better than any others I’ve tried and it’s a steal. MCK Spirulina sleeping pack, $7.53 on Amazon for a generous amount of product. Definitely purchasing again and I’m thrilled with the value.!

It doesn't rinse well and I find I have an easier time getting it off there/ I am too cheap to throw it out. I am also still trying to find a second cleasner that doesn't dry me out. I've tried the Corsx Good Morning, Innisfree Green Tea, Mizon Snail one and a Heimish one. I have the Toosoowong Powder one on my list to see if I can find it without having to order it. Our postal service still isn't accepting international shipments so I don't want to order and have it get stuck and possibly lost. If anyone has other thoughts or suggestions, I am open to them. Is there another type of second wash I could be trying?

I’m finally caught up on this thread... I bought the Cosrx oil Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion back in November and it’s so great. Goes on really nice under makeup and keeps my skin mostly hydrated. I work in a super drying office so I don’t expect miracles but would definitely recommend. I bought a bunch of random sheet masks around Black Friday and I’ve had zero time to try any.

Yes it is. Do you use it am and pm? For PM is slather my face in it. 😂 it takes quite a bit of time to dry, but at night I don’t care. If you want to try using it in the AM I would only do 1 pump or a half pump. I’ve had success with half a pump in the am. It may take you some trial and error to see if you can use it. My AM is super rushed so I usually do toner, snail 92 cream and sunsceen. Awesome, I’ll start with PM then since my mornings are already pretty rushed and have a fair amount of layering. I pick it up next week and am way too excited for snail goo

Speaking of snail, I tried my first snail sheet mask the other week and love it! My skin was glowing the entire weekend. It was one that came in my Facetory subscription, Facetory Oh My Goodness Rejuvenating Snail. I might have to invest in the snail goo you guys are always raving about and I’m really hoping Mh gets me the Naruko sheet masks for Christmas.
I tried my first Papa Recipe sheet mask too. It was the regular one and I liked it. The only downside was it was almost too sweet smelling for me. Almost. But not enough for me to not buy them again. I have the rose and black honey masks to try too.

The cosrx snail AIO cream is also very popular. emma I agree with everything @karenwalker said about snail use! I use mine twice a day - but I only do a half pump in the am, so it dries down quickly and sits well under my makeup. At night, I do a full pump. Love.Snail. 🐌 🐌 💕❤️🐌🐌

In terms of the toner m, I haven’t used the specific one you mentioned, but I love spay toners. Easy application- I have one on my desk that I use throughout the day for hydration. In terms of what to add to your routine, maybe an eye cream or a sleeping pack? I am using the innisfree orchid eye cream and liking it right now. I also am using the Laneige water sleeping pack and liking that 👍

Taitai I've been using my snail mucin (cosrx) as my last step at night before my moisturizer - is that correct or should I be using it earlier? I use either vit c or a aha/bha combo serum every night after my toners, then snail, then moisturizer. Sometimes I use snail in the mornings too before my moisturizer.

So....my ILs brought the Paula’s choice BHA that I’d shipped to them during the Nordstrom semi-annual sale. Such a good deal.
Anyways, I’ve used it thrice, and I love how the BHA really minimizes my pores on my nose and chin. I’ve also gotten a bunch of clogs/grits out- which is fantastic.
However- that stuff is strong. I think my skin needs to get used to it, but I definitely cannot do the BHA everyday. I am shooting for twice a week. I think I’m going to alternate with my vit C 20% L-AA, because doing those on the same night is just too much. Even with lots of moisturizer afterwards and a sleeping pack, my skin still feels kinda tight today from when I used the BHA last night.
I love how smooth my skin though! 👍

I skimmed back through this thread again to revamp my future skincare wishlist (hello 2019 resolution!) and am laughing at Taitai’s snail obsession. You are a legit snail dealer and one by one everyone caves. Speaking of which, I ordered the corsx snail 96 mucin you recommended. It will be here after Christmas but I’m considering it my stocking stuffer.

When you use products that you suspect make you break out, how soon after using those products do you break out?
I've been wondering this for a while if it's more of like an immediate thing or a delayed response. And I'm sure it can vary from person to person.
But I woke up yesterday morning my skin looked amazing. Clear, smooth, radiant. I was feeling myself and even made my husband check out my face up close 😆
Anyway I got a new foundation earlier this week and yesterday was the first day that I actually put it on. By the end of the day I had three or four little whiteheads on my chin and a couple other new bumps. Does it happen that quickly? Usually any acne breakouts that I get are on my chin or jawline because I'm confident that they are hormonal. So this small break out might be unrelated to the foundation but I've just been wondering if for a while and wanted to get you all's opinion.

@karenwalker, thanks for the req. I will add it to my wish list and see if I can find it in a store. milano, for me it seems to depend on the product. I have had cases like what you described as well as I just discovered one of my moisturizers was doing similar after two weeks. The second case almost seemed like the product needed to build up for the reaction. Typically though, I will know within the day. Makeup usually within two wears. Maybe stop for a week and get back to baseline and try again for another day? See if you get the same reaction or if maybe if was something else.

milano. I tend to notice I start breaking out from a new product that is not a good fit within 1-3 days. I’d also stop using the new foundation for a week and see if your skin improves.

I just scored a ton of sheet masks for cheap at TJMaxx. I’m going to make little packs of sheet masks for stocking stuffers and Christmas presents. I got a box of Yadah Pore Care, Esfolio Ginseng, Cosmetea White Tea, and Mitomo Collagen. The Mitomo are Japanese and have beautiful traditional art on the packaging so I couldn’t resist. I’ve never tried any of them but for under a $1 a mask I figured it was worth it.
For myself there was a combo package of the Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Mask that’s been recommended that came with the Pumpkin 24k Gold Mask.
