firefly I found the Face Shop Rice water cleanser to be harsh and drying for my skin. It makes a great brush cleaner though. The cleansing oil is fine and does a good job.

Oh lordy - I've fallen down this rabbit hole. I don't have a particular routine so this will be a learning curve. Current Sunscreen is Image Skincare - SPF 50 I feel like my next sunscreen will be Nivea Super Water Gel. It'll be nice to have something I'm not actively hating. The Face Shop - Rice Water (Current cleanser is La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel - Not bad, but I'm not sure it's enough?) Snagged the Honey and Rice masks because hey why not? Also picked up the COSRX Snail 96 (AM/PM) and COSRX Snail 92 (PM). Stumbled on these face masks and figured half could be a gift for a friend. I'm thinking the masks I could alternate each night unless one just stands out. My wallet blessed me for not picking up Sulwhasoo or Missha, but I wants..... Did I miss anything? Welcome!! I am extremely happy you picked up the snail! Good choice. The Sulwhasoo stuff is so tempting, and I have to restrain myself on that brand. I do find that buying samples from Amazon is a lot more economical to check out stuff from them. Have you considered oil cleansing? I like the Kose speedy oil cleanser, just because it’s cheap and gets the job done. Might be an easy way for you to try out a double cleansing method? Also, have you ever tried using a hydrating toner? There are so many good ones out there, but I like Klairs Supple Prep toner as a starter.

Anyone changing their routine or products out for winter? The change in seasons and my workplace is drying my skin out. I’ve been doing the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask a few nights a week and really like. I’m running out of my day moisturizer and am currently researching. Any suggestions for something reasonably priced for sensitive skin that’s prone to dryness? I switch out my products for heavier stuff when we travel back to the states in the winter. I use more sleeping masks, and I also use more of my Skinfood premium lettuce and cucumber emulsion, which I think is pretty reasonably priced for such a big bottle. Bonus is that it hydrates my skin well, yet doesn’t break me out. I’ll also use a misting toner throughout the day - because it can go over my makeup without ruining it.

TaitaiHow is the Klairs Supple Prep compared to COSRX AHA/BHA? Would the COSRX be too stripping and I should stick with hydrating until I know/experiment more? I also forgot that I had TruSkin Vit C and TruSkin Retinol Moisturizer so I need to figure out my order of operations LOL.

Anyone have any make up site recommendations for korean companies? A few of the blogs have mentioned things but I can't find ones that ship to the US or Canada. Have you looked at roseroseshop? They have a .com site and also an eBay site that are popular and carry some makeup (like BB cream, lipstick, eye makeup). Jolse also does some makeup. I get my Etude House BB cream from there. Rose rose doesn't get good reviews for Canadian customs. Is there a trick with using the Jolse site or maybe you need to be on a desktop? It is crazy difficult to navigate on mobile. I want to like it but keep getting frustrated.

Innisfree has a US site and they make my favorite pressed powders and have a good (for Asian brands) color selection. us.innisfree.com/This site ships from Korea so shipping can take longer, but they have a good selection and nice samples. They do have select items that ship from the US and those arrive in about 3 days. They sell my favorite lip product: beautytap.com/product/peripera-peripera-ink-the-airy-velvet/beautytap.com/Thank you! I use Innisfree's green tea wash so I will check them out as well as the second site you mentioned. Is the lip product you mentioned a gloss, balm or true lipstick? How easy does it go on and how well does it stay on?

So I finally feel like I have been using some products long enough to provide some feedback: Earth's Recipe Boosting Toner - Love this, maybe more than my Klairs toner. My skin feels soooo soft and a little goes a long way. Definitely ordering this again. It does have a slight fragance that I originally found off putting but now don't evendors notice Dynasty Cream - nice day cream that sits well for me under make up. Slight floral fragance. Papa Recipe masks - so nice. Buy them. All of them. Again. And again. Jayjun masks - these are nice but strongly scented. They do leave my skin nice and soft though.

asunasword where are you buying your Papa Recipe masks? Not sure where you are located but I am in Canada. I have bought them from mikaela-beauty.com, and amazon. If you are in the US, I have bought other items from iherb.com and I see they carry them as well as yesstyle.com A recent treasure find in an Asian grocery store showed me there are 6 or 7 varieties but I have only seen 4 online. I have tried the Black, Red and Honey varieties to date.

It looks like I can get single masks on yesstyle.com. I really want to try them but get nervous about buying a big pack, especially at that price, even though everyone raves about them. Watch it be the one thing that breaks me out. I might have to do a little shopping tonight!

asunasword it's a velvet lip cream? It goes on with a doe foot applicator and dries down to a matte finish. If I wear it alone it will last all day even with eating and drinking at work, it will transfer some but the color is still there. If I wear it with a balm or gloss it will last about 3 hours and wear down evenly. It can feel dry, but it doesn't seem to dry out my lips. I can't handle reapplying lipstick during the day, so I really like how low maintance it is while stilling giving me color. (My natural lip tone is little than my skin tone.)

Does anyone have good advice for dealing with breakouts on my cheeks? I feel like some of it is hormonal but I’m not sure I don't get it on my cheeks but on my neck. I have changed a few things that have all seemed to help to differing degrees: -with winter here, I have had to up my moisturizers as I was back to being dry, oily and breaking out. I live in the land of cold, low humidity and strong wind so dry is a way of life here in the winter. -I use a mild acid to stop/patch treat bad areas. This doesn't over dry other areas of my face then. (The one I use is Mandelic Acid by Wishtrend as it is mild and for sensitive skin. I have never used an acid before this so you may have to use something stronger if you do) -I change my pillowcase twice a week. - Corsx makes a acne patch. I think @karenwalker has also purchased these. I love these. If the breakouts are separated enough that you could put a small circle over it at night or days you are at home, this might work. It protects the area while drawing out the infection that causes the inflammation. For me, the pimple doesn't cause anywhere near the bump, heals faster and the secondary breakouts caused by the first breaking open don't occur. You can't easily put makeup over it and they are decently noticeable hence my at night suggestion. Don't waste your money on the ones that say you can put makeup over them. They still show. Just get the regular ones if you go this route. - My skin loathes tea tree oil. It actually causes breakouts on me but others have used it with good success for spot treatment. Also maybe a lotion that has some mixed in? Good luck! Let me know if you find something that works for you, please.

Hey emma! I have used the cosrx patches and I really like them. I pretty much love everything Cosrx! I will say what’s helped the most with my acne (hormonal, mostly on my chin and jawline) is using the Cosrx PHA moisture cream. It’s the first acid I’ve been able to actually use. Every other BHA/AHA has been too harsh for me. emma I also have used the Cosrx pimple patches and love them! I sometimes get the start of a breakout on my cheeks, and as soon as a bump or red spot starts to appear, I put the Cosrx snail on it. For whatever reason, my skin responds really well to snail and 99% of the time, the spot will be gone in a day or two. Another thing to do is make sure your skin is well hydrated. Sheet masking at night with a good HA formula(I like Naruko and My Beauty Diary) will also help prevent breakouts (for me). Sorry about the hormonal skin woes - I hate that.

The Cosrx one is a cleansing/actives prep toner. It doesn’t hydrate your skin. It’s purpose is to lower the ph of your skin before you put on your actives (Vit C, BHA, AHA), so that the actives can work better. The toner doesn’t actually have AHA or BHA in it. The Klairs is a hydrating toner, and you would put it on after your actives, using it for hydration purposes. So, kind of apples and oranges. I love them both - just depends on what you think would e most used for you right now.

But, once your profile is all set up, it’s easier when you sign in to make future orders. I did my first order from desktop, so I could get all the info set up and stored on my profile. Subsequent orders I have done from mobile, since there are often better prices on the mobile site and it’s pretty easy to order once everything is saved. That’s just me though.

Lakes If you order a 10 pack and don’t like it, could you give the rest away as holiday gifts or stocking stuffers? I always am giving away sheet masks as little trinkets to people throughout the year, so maybe you could do that with these, in the very unlikely even you don’t like them. Also - PSA - each Papas Recipe masks has an authenticity sticker on it, which you can use to make sure it’s not a fake (Papas Recipe has a website to check). These masks are so popular, that there are fakes from China out there. I haven’t heard of any confirmed fakes on amazon, but just saying in case you want to double check.

Any chance you’re overusing the acid? I just saw an article on this somewhere...something about over exfoliating actually making acne worse. That’s possible, I’ll try limiting it to twice a week

Am I glad that someone mentioned the weird gritty thing when you rub the oil in. Such a fascinating and gross thing LOL.

Ladies, I’m in desperate need of some help.
I went and got a laser facial several nights ago and wow, I’m scared I managed to ruin my skin forever. The next day, I broke out like crazy and my skin feels so itchy.
What should I do?
Anything I should use/not use?
This is my current routine:
AM: 9 Wishes rice cleanser, 3 applications of Earth’s recipe toner, TruNaturals Vitamin C serum, CosRX birch sap moisturizer (and IWULT sunscreen if I am leaving the house).
No makeup for 5 or 6 days out of the week
PM: Banila Clean it Zero, CosRX low PH cleanser, three applications of the Earth’s Recipe toner, rosehip seed oil, Ordinary’s Hyaluronic acid, and then CosTX rice sleeping mask.
None of these products are new.
Any ideas? Do I just have to ride it out?
