So my palms turned orange this morning and my skin has a weird smell. I can say I'm stopping this vitamin c for now. It just isn't the right product for me at this time and it makes me nervous to keep using it if I'm still breastfeeding and having ng this type of reaction. I'm going to look on Amazon for the snail today. Also maybe a moisturizer change but I'm not sure where to start there. Yeah - that doesn’t sound normal. I think you should actually contact customer service and try to get your money back! It sounds like it’s oxidized, which should happen so quickly after opening a product! I hope you love the snail and that it works for you. In terms of moisturizers, there are so many options. I love Murad (which isn’t AB), but it’s $$$. Skinfood makes a cucumber lettuce watery emulsion that is light and I love. Might be too light for some people though. www.ulta.com/premium-lettuce-cucumber-water-emulsion?productId=xlsImpprod14431243

But it makes me hesitant to order more skin products from there. Thanks for the moisturizer recommendation!

The products ship directly from Korea and the prices are good. The only issue is that is sometimes takes a while for shipping - depending on how much you order. I have had good experiences though - and they give free samples in each shipment, which is very Korean and I love 💕

Shoppers finally got a K Beauty stand! It is pretty expensive but I'm sure more is coming I have been fighting with my frizzy and tangled hair since I got it highlighted and I bought this to see if it will help: Very excited. Also been using masks like crazy. I was breaking out on my chin from being in several winter coats and neckwarmers all weekend and I tried that glow bubble mask. My skin is completely clear this morning. I don't know if it's coincidence but I feel like I am actually starting to see results from this stuff!

Yay for K-beauty stand expanding to Shoppers! Isn’t it great when you start noticing your skin improving? I just looked in the morning this morning after my routine, and I was like a my skin looks pretty good without makeup. Once you get your skin in good “shape,” I find it bounces back easier from temporary damage/breakouts too. I give most credit to the snails 🐌😁

🍍 🍊 Fineapple 🍍 🍊 Welcome!! The great thing about AB, is that the products are really reasonably priced, and you don’t need to spend a ton of $$ to get results. So for enlarged pores, do you use AHA or BHA right now? If not, I’d recommend a daily BHA to start with, which should help clear out your pores and minimize their appearance. The thing about pores is that it’s not really possible to physically shrink them, but - keeping them clean and the sebaceous filaments cleared out will really help to minimize their appearance. Below article outlines a way that works (for me) to clear my pores. If you don’t end up getting “grits” out, that’s okay. Not everyone’s skin responds to skincare/methods the same way. fiftyshadesofsnail.com/2015/03/28/how-to-shrink-pores-temporarily-plus-3-pore-myths/For a BHA, I recommend the Cosrx blackhead power liquid. It has great reviews, and it’s a gentler - but still very effective - formulation that shouldn’t be too harsh on your skin. You don’t have to put it all over your face - you can just put it on areas where you have large pores. People also put it all over their face, but it can dry out dry areas, so just keep that in mind. www.amazon.com/Cosrx-Bha-Blackhead-Power-Liquid/dp/B00OZEJ8R8Another thing that will help with pore minimizing is to double cleanse and use a clay mask to help suck the dirt/oil out of your pores. I only do the clay mask like once a week (if that), because I find it can cause redness for me. If you’re not familiar with double cleansing as a concept - below is a good article that explains why it’s good for one’s skin. Basically - use an oil cleanser first to break up and remove sunscreen/makeup/whatever that has built up over the day. The oil cleanser should be one that emulsifies easily when it comes into contact with water - meaning, it breaks up and rinses clean without leaving much of an oily residue behind. Then, use a low-ph gentle water soluble cleanser to totally remove all the oil from your first cleanse. www.snowwhiteandtheasianpear.com/2014/08/skincare-discovery-cleansing-part-i.html?m=1For double cleansers that get the job done, I like below: Oil cleanser - Kose softymo speedy oil cleanser www.amazon.com/KOSE-SOFTYMO-Speedy-Cleansing-230ml/dp/B000V2FBAQWater Soluble Cleanser - Cerave gentle foaming cleanser www.amazon.com/CeraVe-Foaming-Facial-Cleanser-Washing/dp/B01N1LL62WClay mask (if you don’t already have one): www.ulta.com/egg-white-pore-mask?productId=xlsImpprod14431261For evening out skin tone and getting rid of spots/hyper pigmentation, I like vitamin C serum. Vitamin C is generally really good for your skin, and it’s one of the few things that scientific research has shown to make a difference in evening skin tone and promoting collagen growth. So it can’t hurt. Niacinimide can also help to even skin tone. For Vit C, I like mine to be strong, so I use a 20% L-AA serum (T’iam). It is too much for some people, however, so another popular option is Rohto Melano CC. Klairs also makes a 5% L-AA that is more gentle and people tend to like: T’iam: m.ebay.com/itm/TIAM-My-Signature-C-Source-30ml-O-S-T-Original-C20-Pure-Vitamin-Serum-/111115643456Rohto: www.amazon.com/Rohto-Melano-Intensive-Anti-Spot-Essence/dp/B0188CAZKQKlairs: www.amazon.com/KLAIRS-Freshly-Juiced-Vitamin-vitamin/dp/B010FOFSH0The last thing I recommend for everyone is SNAIL. My skin loves it, and I put it on my face twice a day (morning and night). It’s great if you have any trouble spots pop up, or if you feel like your skin is dry/needs some extra repair. Cosrx makes a great snail serum - hiiiighly recommend: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PBX3L7K/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1537021344&sr=8-2&keywords=cosrx+snail&dpPl=1&dpID=31Eehhkb2aL&ref=plSrchOrder of using stuff. Okay - so here is the order you should use this stuff in. If you are going to use a clay mask, you can do it right after your double cleanse and before you put on the Vit C or BHA. 1) Oil Cleanse 2) Water Sol Cleanse 3) Vit C serum 4) BHA 5) Snail 6) Moisturize (whatever you are using is fine - as long as it doesn’t break you out now). 7) Sunscreen (if morning) I like this Japanese one —> www.amazon.com/Biore-Watery-Essence-Facial-2sheet/dp/B071JXTP42ETA - sunscreen is important, because BHA is photosensitizing. So, if you use a BHA and then don’t use sunscreen, you can unintentionally do more damage to your skin/make it age faster/increase your risk for skin cancer. There are a lot of other things you can do - like adding a hydrating toner before the snail, and adding a moisturizer or cream after the snail, adding AHA/retinoids....and more. But I don’t want to totally overwhelm you, so I’ll stop here. Lemme know if you have questions! One last article to read that kind of sums up the Asian skincare philosophy is below article: fiftyshadesofsnail.com/2018/06/03/5-step-k-beauty-skincare-routine/ A month later but thanks so much. My face is in the way to being foooooinee. Yay!! This makes me so happy!! 😊

I am excited - a friend of ours is coming for a last minute visit from the states later this month. In addition to being extremely happy to see her soon, I’m also giddy that she was like - is there anything you want me to bring?
Why yeeeeeeesssssss...since you offered.
I’m getting refills on the following:
-Mizon AHA/BHA prep toner -Kose Softymo speedy cleansing oil -IOPE Air cushion blusher - peach sherbet
And I am trying new: -LJH Grow Vita Propolis Ampoule
Very excited for her to come with some USA-priced AB stuff later this month!

I just ordered a refill of the Klairs toner. I love it so much! I went through it...a lot faster than I thought I would. I’ve been using the ‘7 skin method’ which is where you apply 7 layers of toner to your skin. I usually just do 3 or 4, but my face LOVES it. I think I’m finally starting to repair my moisture barrier. Love this! I do a version with 3 or 4 layers too when my skin needs it. Dehydration (not dryness) is my skin enemy and I use a variety of liquidy products for non-matching 7 skin the rest of the time. I pretty much live on the FTE, toner, watery essence end of the spectrum.

beesquared, I wish I had posted earlier, the earths recipe toner was what I was going to get but then stuck with Klairs! I’m definitely trying it next. The secret key products look great too! I think I’m going to add one for this month. Do you apply the toners/essence under and around your eyes? I haven’t been, but I feel like I could use more moisture there. I do apply them around/on my eyes/eyelids. I just slap it all over, lol.

Taitai since you mentioned cellophane skin I realized that’s what my forehead was suffering from, I’d noticed previously that it was looking way shiny. Anyway I’ve toned down my exfoliation routine and it’s looking much better, so thanks!

I have some PC BHA coming with the ILs in Dec, and I already know I’ll have to slowly incorporate it into my routine (as possibly add heavier moisturizer) to make sure I don’t over exfoliate. Kinda scared! 😬

My skin was doing really well until this week when I went back to work. I’m wearing makeup everyday and the air is making my skin super oily and dry at the same time. I think I’m just going to power through and see if it adjusts, maybe add some extra moisturizing sheet masks or something.

I keep a misting toner at my desk, which I spritz on my skin a few times throughout the day to keep it hydrated. I don’t really know if it helps, but it doesn’t screw up my makeup and I like how it feels 🤷♀️. I use this one bc it’s cheap and will last me forever. I’ve had it for 9 mos and only used up like 1/5 of the bottle. www.amazon.com/Pyunkang-Yul-Mist-Toner-200ml/dp/B06ZY4VPP8

They don’t always carry the same selection so I’d go with a list of things you are looking for and see if they have them. I love the Kose Softyomo oil and the NRK sheet masks, I picked up both there. Oh the Dr Wu brand masks are great and that’s a line they always carry. I like to get a selection pack

I was thinking of trying the Missha FTE but I think my ole standby Cosrx has a fermented essence. If you're talking about the CosRx galactomyces, I happen to love that stuff. Definitely brightened my skin and made it appear radiant. I'm on my third bottle and will purchase again. As for other fermented products, I also have a vinegar from ONEOSEVEN that I love. When I wear that under makeup, I get many compliments.

I know it was popular with AB bloggers and they used to have a good product mix (at decent prices when on sale). Hmmm...maybe their e-commerce is up and running again? ::goes off to check:: ETA - the website has significantly fewer brands available than before. Seems like a totally different product mix. I’ve heard good things about pony effect makeup though!

Where do you use it in your routine? Is it a similar consistently to the snail 96 or is it more of a FTE? I'm really not sure, i don't use snail so I can't speak to that, but it's definitely a little thicker than my other FTE although that one from ONEOSEVEN is very watery/more of a mist than anything. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Taitai, Tracy from fanserviced b posted something on instagram saying Skinfood is entering bankruptcy proceedings. 😞 not sure on the timeline or if they’re actually going away. She thinks they’ll reduce the amount of products the have. (I think you’re the one who loves their products, if not, disregard!) Oh no!!!! I do like Skinfood! Their peach sake pore serum, the cucumber lettuce watery emulsion, and the black sugar wash off face mask are some of my favs. I’m also a fan of other stuff they have. Crap. I hope they stick around and keep the best products!

In other tea spilling news, did anyone see the posts on Sunday Riley encouraging employees to leave multiple fake reviews on Sephora? 👀 I know it happens, but wow. Teaching employees how to hide your IP address is pretty dedicated. www.google.com/amp/s/www.today.com/today/amp/tdna140102Yikes. That’s so unethical. This makes me not like them. I have heard good things though, and I liked the lactic acid sample I got from Sephora. Bummer ☹️

I've been embracing the Korean skincare life for the past several months and I think I want to add some snail. This is my current routine:
1)Origins clean energy cleansing oil 2)Origins Checks & balances foaming cleanser or Murad anti-aging acne cleanser 3) Klairs supple prep toner 4) Neogen real ferment micro essence 5) murad vit c serum 6) origins night-a-mins or murad vit c cream at night, murad anti-aging moisturizer for acne prone skin with spf 30 for day.
During breakouts I add in philosophy clear days ahead treatment pads at night. I also exfoliate 2-3 times a week with either origins charcoal powder or Cane & Austin Retexturing scrub. I use a sheet mask about once a week, from my facetory subscription.
Where can I add snail? My skin is combination, and I break out occasionally around my chin and jawline.

I think you have a great routine. I love Murad and Origins too. You can put snail between steps 4 and 5 if it’s a snail serum (like the Cosrx 96 mucin). If it’s a snail cream (like, in a jar), I’d put it between steps 5 and 6. The best rule of thumb for product order is thinnest to thickest - hope that helps! Let us know which snaily snail product you decide on. I think it will help with your breakout areas. The Naruko snail repair sheet masks are also amazing for resetting your skin on particularly bad breakout days 👍 🐌
