How's everyone doing? What's up this month?

I’m in the TWW. I think. I had O pains but they were a bit different and drawn out this month so I’m not even sure which day I ovulated. This is the worst time for me but I’m hoping I can not go crazy this month. Easy to say at 3-4 dpo. We’ll see how I am in a week or so. Or in two weeks because my LP is ridiculously long now. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that this may not happen for us, and I think I am getting to the point where I am ok with that. When I think about my age and what that means for a kid I might have, I don’t like where my thought process goes. So. Debbie downer over here, sorry!
I really am feeling pretty positive despite how it may sound!

obscureference, I sometimes contemplate what life would look like if we stopped TTC, we're nowhere near that decision but it helps me to consider it from time to time - it shows me that even though it isn't what I want, I'd still be okay. I get what you mean by feeling positive despite it all being such a bummer. ((hugs))

AFM, sitting here at 7 dpo after IUI #2. Meant to start testing out my trigger today but totally forgot, there's always tomorrow.
At 7 dpo my anxiety is always at it's worst (thanks hormones) so I'm trying to remember to take care of myself today. H has been about asking for ute status updates, which is sweet but also makes me anxious because I know he's hoping so hard that this works.
Last cycle (iui #1) I think I was naively hopeful, and have reined it back in this cycle. Having our IUI timing totally off helps with the crazies.

All the hugs obscureference and charliefox! It’s so hard to keep being upbeat and positive when cycle after cycle gives negative results. I have absolutely everything crossed for you both! AFM... I’m still taking Femara. My last day is tomorrow, and then I’ll start Follistim on Thursday. H and I went camping this past weekend, which was awesome until I got a GI virus, so that was not fun. I’m mostly feeling better, although I still don’t really want to eat. I’ve lost 6lbs though! As weird as this will sound, I’m hoping this bug will help kickstart me into watching portion sizes and healthier eating.

obscureference That makes total sense, sometimes I feel most at peace when I have been able (or forced!) to let go of some level of hope or expectation I was hanging on to, even if it's sad. DH and I regularly remind ourselves and each other that whether or not we are parents, we are a family and we will have a meaningful life together. charliefox 7DPO is truly awful, it's like you're past "Oh, I just O'd" and at the start of a long trek to testing! I also have the strongest progesterone-related symptoms then (nausea, hot flashes, sore boobs, tired) other than the day before AF (the two times that the corpus luteum peaks) which makes it especially hard. Glad you are aware and taking good care of yourself. orangehibiscus That's awesome! (kinda!) I hope this helps you with weight loss, that would be a great silver lining.

AFM, I'm trying to stay busy and distracted and just not invest so much attention and emotion into the process when at all possible - this has been going on so. freaking. long. I'm on CD9 so will try to remember to start temping tomorrow. DH is far better than I at remembering to temp and take OPKs. His newbie enthusiasm is a good foil to my jaded bitterness lol. I am super super thankful to be able to BD freely now - the progesterone suppositories in the TWW make my vag so raw and sore after a few days that I am out of commission, the worst part of this treatment! We're way happier as a couple when we can DTD at will!

sunshiney That is exactly what I am trying to do - not invest so much attention in TTC. It makes me feel better to not think about it as much as I can. Does anyone else get super irritable as soon as they O? At like 3 dpo I turn into a total bitch, usually just toward my H. I try really hard to reign it in, but I mostly can’t. Poor guy. I feel bad about it. Hormones suck.

Thanks sunshiney. It’s good to stay busy to distract from TTC. Sorry the progesterone suppositories make your vag raw...ouch! I’m glad your H’s newbie optimism can help bring you up. It’s hard not to be bitter after dealing with IF. Hugs!

obscureference I don’t get super irritated after O, but I do the day before and/or the day before CD1.

Hi, friends...has anyone had a UTI while TTC? Just got my first...youch!! and wondered if taking antibiotics affect anything? And if you have a UTI, can you keep BDing (assuming it isn't prohibitively painful) or is it important to take a break for a bit? Couldn't get in the the GYN to ask, just left a urine sample for them. Thank you!!

That numbs the urinary tract and turns your pee red/orange. I didn’t stop having sex while treated for my last UTI, but my RE did tell me to. I figured I was already on antibiotics, so no need to stop.

O and IUI on Monday. Feel like we nailed the timing, plus we were able to use fresh instead of frozen. Ovulation pain was really bad that night.
3dpo now and starting estradiol in addition to progesterone this round.

Thanks orangehibiscus. The pharm said no need to avoid TTC so if I can push past the discomfort we'll try. My sis gets UTI's all the time no matter what she does to try and prevent it, she said that using Azo is really unhealthy and leads to cancer or something in the long term but she just has to. No idea if that's true but I took one pill yesterday and that seems to have been enough so I'm thankful. Fluorescent orange pee is WEIRD! Bluebird That's very exciting!! And I hope the hormones give you a great cushy lining. My cycles with both estradiol and progesterone in the LP ended with heavier than normal AF, which I took as a great sign that they were doing their job! Hope it makes all the difference for you!

Do you also feel a little bloaty, or some pressure around your ovaries during a Femara cycle? I O on my own but this Femara cycle I could feel that big follie hanging out before O.

Glad you can still TTC and that the Azo helped sunshiney! I never had O pain before Follistim Bluebird, but now I get abdomen and rectal pain/pressure. It got pretty bad this cycle with that massive follicle I had. That was no fun. Edit: tagged the wrong person

I definitely felt the giant follicle I had last cycle before O charliefox. The last day or two, I’ve had some twinges on my right side, so I’m hoping there’s a nice follicle on that side on Monday.

I O on my own but this Femara cycle I could feel that big follie hanging out before O. I feel majorly bloated for about a day, with a lot of cramping and specific pain on the side with the biggest follicle. I’ve never had this with an unmedicated cycle, only with Femara.

I’m starting to get pms symptoms which is never a good thing for me. Still have a long way to go before I get AF, though. Ugh. Almost at the two year mark.

I had my US today, and I have 2 follicles. I have a decent one on the left side (doesn’t count). I have an 18mm follie on the right side, so I got to trigger tonight! I was so glad to get to trigger after my last cycle got cancelled.

orangehibiscus 18mm sounds absolutely ideal! FX. charliefox So sorry. Take it easy and pamper yourself if you can! Periods are the worst and IF only compounds it! obscureference I'm sorry. I hope you're not out yet. Two years is a long time to go through this, and those mile markers are so frustrating to pass.
