Donāt hate meš Iām well below pre pregnancy weight (thanks GD dietš¬) but if I donāt get this snacking while being home under control Iāll be right back where I startedš¤¦š¼āāļø And Iād love to go down at least another 20lbs.
BF makes me so hungry but I know I need to be eating the right things. Aka not cookies and chips. Iām adding fruits and greek yogurt to my grocery pick up order right now.

How soon after baby did you guys start working out again? Did you wait for your first appointment? I started some light workouts at 5 weeks pp and just paid close attention to how it felt and how my body was handling it. My OB didnāt even say anything about exercising at my 6 week check, just āyouāre healing well and good to go!ā So I figured that meant I was okay to do some more intense workouts.

How soon after baby did you guys start working out again? Did you wait for your first appointment? I had a vaginal delivery and no stitches, and was still working out up to my due date. My doc okayed me to start when I felt ready, which was 3 weeks--I jogged about 2.5 miles and felt great. I was fully back to my pre preg lifting and HIIT at 5 weeks. My good friend had a c section and wasn't really ready until about 4 months. It's going to vary depending on your own recovery. In general I would say if you still feel like you're recovering physically and are uneasy, wait until your 6 week appointment and ask your doc to assess you.

How soon after baby did you guys start working out again? Did you wait for your first appointment? I had a vaginal delivery, no stiches and felt okay to start working out around 3-4 weeks I think? I didn't actually ask my Dr, I probably should have. They didn't mention working out at my appointment at my first pregnancy so I kind of just assumed it was whatever I felt comfortable with.

Breastfeeding makes me want only carbs and sweets. The struggle! So much this. I feed my cravings with sweetened overnight oats for breakfast and a fruit nut granola bar when I feed baby in the MOTN.

Ok cool. I feel like I could do something. I also had a vaginal delivery no stitches but I feel like 2 weeks is Maybe too soon for too much. Maybe I can start walking at least.

I discovered how easy it is to make hard-boiled eggs in the instant pot today. And they came out perfectly too. It should make healthy snacking and breakfasts much easier

I'd probably wait until the bleeding slows down for anything more?

I started walking a few miles at 2 weeks. Much more than a mile or two is too much. My bleeding picks up significantly even still at 4 wks pp. Iām going to try some upper body work outs soon and keep walking, but Iām holding on more than that until my bleeding is completely done. Iām pretty sure eating pop tarts is not helping my waistline though...

This plus overnight oats makes a decent breakfast. Or if you like your oatmeal hot, you can make hard boiled eggs and rolled oats (not steel cut) at the same time. Put the oatmeal and fixings in a bowl on the trivet and eggs around the base of the bowl. Four minutes at high pressure and breakfast is served. š©āš³ š©āš³

On hot days or ones I'm pressed for time I'll toss a chopped hardboiled egg over a cup of greens and top with a little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper.
Another thing I've been doing lately is making savory breakfast bowls. A half cup of multigrain hot cereal mixed with a cup of sauteed veggies (kale, carrots, mushrooms and onions is my current mix). I top with a poached egg.
I was trying to up my milk supply with oats but granola is such a sugar mine. I've been stirring muesli into plain skyr or Greek yogurt instead and enjoying it. Idk why it took me so long to discover that swap.

Iām trying to slowly lose my baby weight. My scales broke the week I found out I was pregnant with DS2 and my OB never weighed me so I was a little surprised at how much I weighed when I bought new scales last week.
Iām watching my diet a bit more and started going for walks when DS1 is at daycare. That plus breastfeeding I really thought at least half a kilo would come off in a week. Nope ā¹ļø
I guess it will be much harder this time. I wish that didnāt make me so down, I hate not fitting into any of my clothes.

I get mentally stuck on what is supposed to be sweet and what is savory. For example, when thinking about hot cereal, I think sweet, not savory. Although we are rice eaters, so I'd probably swap hot cereal with hot rice.
Also I cannot manage to eat plain yogurt. I know that unsweetened is healthier.š¤·āāļø

How soon after baby did you guys start working out again? Did you wait for your first appointment? With DS1 I didnāt feel like I could without my uterus falling out until 7-8 weeks. With DS2 I felt like I could at 3 weeks. My OB said walking and light exercise was fine once I felt ready but to chill out if my bleeding increased.

nevertoomanyshoes right?! I thought BFing was just supposed to melt the pounds away. Not happening over here either. I weigh the same as I did about 4 weeks pp and Iāve eaten healthier and worked out regularly since then. I tried on my loosest pair of shorts from last summer and they are v v tight. They button but not comfortably. I canāt decide if I want to go buy a couple new pairs that fit or just hope that my current ones will fit in a month when itās consistently shorts weather.

With my son, I didn't lose the last ten pounds until I stopped breastfeeding. And it wasn't due to my snacking or breastfeeding cravings either. My calories were tracked and my diet was the same. The month I stopped nursing I lost every last one of those pounds. My OB said that was very common. I think the weight loss thing is only true for some women that BF.

I signed up for a Stroller Fitness class through my town Rec that starts today. Not sure how it's going to go but I'm ready. FX that she sleeps through it! That sounds interesting. Let us know how you like it. It was fun! Not the most strenuous workout but I worked up a sweat for about 45 minutes and that's as much as I was asking for! It was about 7 women with babies and toddlers. We walked our warmup and then did about 20 min of body weight intervals (squats, lunges, plank stuff). We finished with ab work and then ran a couple of laps while the leader watched the strollers. If DD had been awake it might have been hairy but it was very relaxed and the moms were all popping in and out with restless kids. It was 30 bucks for 6 weeks. I'm glad I'm doing it!

Also here is the workout in case anyone wants to do it at home during nap time. 10 reps of each exercise for either 5 songs or 20 min. And a bonus pic of my workout buddy.
