I am very far away from my pp weight. I’m a real cave woman when it comes to storing fat. But we went for a walk to the park today and it’s beautiful out. And my eating has been on point today. Sitting on your bench...hopped on the scale today and I’m a solid 20 pounds from my PP weight, and I had realistically 50 to lose beyond that, to get in the high end of a healthy weight range. I’ll try to also sit on your bench by getting in a walk to the park on this beautiful day.

I think I want to do the Bikini Body Mommy workouts when I get cleared by my dr. I am not currently happy with my pants situation. The maternity jean are falling off, but my prepregnancy jeans are too tight and hurt my incision. This is the exact situation I'm in right now too. I can't wait to wear my real, normal pants again. I’m sorry your in this annoying situation too, but I’m glad I’m not alone.

Our new healthy eating habit is grain bowls. I'd made rice and bean bowls before that DH want that impressed with because too many beans I guess. They're great fresh food for summer and you can do a lot of variety. I cut some pages out of a magazine that show a bunch of ideas and we've been really enjoying them. Today we had them with cous cous, spring mix, assorted veggies, and buffalo chicken lunch meat.

cp3 those look really good...do you find brewers yeast at reg grocery store? the whole number on the scale not meaning anything is totally true. i’m pretty much at prepreg weight but i’m pretty sure i’m 80% body fat right now and i just don’t feel good in my skin. i got dinner prepped for tonight (skinnytaste grilled chicken shawarma with rice) and i’m planning on a walk today. i’m feeling pretty motivated today! I'm not sure. I actually haven't made it with the brewers yeast since I didn't have any on hand. Google says Whole Foods would probably have it or Amazon.

Tell me more about these grain bowls. How do you make them? ETA: tagging alwayscheese This explains pretty well: blog.williams-sonoma.com/how-to-build-a-grain-bowl/?crlt.pid=camp.WkgPWlYeNpCAlso I cut this page out of a magazine and put in my fridge to remind myself I'd been wanting to try this. It's kinda what I go by for building them. I love one dish meals for the ease of menu planning lol. And I like to choose options that are the least prep work. Like I just bought a huge tub of Spring Mix from Aldi so I don't have to cut up my leafy greens. Colored bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, long green English cucumbers instead of cooking veggies. I will definitely plant peas in our garden for this reason also. Like the article mentions, cooking a batch of grains ahead of time. I just bought a bunch of boxes of quinoa and couscous at Aldi. A bunch have flavor/spice packets in them. I have an Instant Pot and boil a bunch of eggs to have in the fridge. I want to try salad shrimp soon and I want to make sprouts(alfalfa) for a leafy green. Also want to branch out with dressings.

My bridesmaids dress is here. I haven’t opened it. I’m reading this thread to get my head in the game for when I’m cleared to go. I think I’m going to have to do meal planning for lunches. If I can’t just grab something healthy I’ll eat Oreos for lunch everyday.

Lunches are definitely harder for me. I am already used to planning healthy breakfasts and dinners but being home midday for me is completely out of routine. I've been raiding my sons cheezit stash way more than I should. It's pretty much the only unhealthy food left in the house.

And the snacking is awful because I’m next to the food sources all the time.

Well this trip home threw off my healthy eating and workouts. Kept my butt on the couch and ate all the sweets, pancakes, and pizza. But we had a good weekend visiting with my family and my grandpa. He was so so excited to see L!

i totally blew it this weekend. helped my mom pack up her basement and she had donuts for breakfast, pulled pork sandwiches/chips for lunch, and pizza for dinner. had nephews baptism yesterday - so cake and other treats. at least i got a 60 min walk in there. going to try and get a meal plan together for the week, but with sick kids i’m not sure when i’ll get to the store. i have chicken sausage, broccoli, and rice on deck for tonight.

I started BBM 2 this morning! I just randomly picked one to start with, so I’ll keep going with this one unless anyone has any favorites they recommend.

I ate Easter candy for breakfast so... I should probably go here. What are people eating for lunch? I hate leftovers so much. Can we eat romaine again? I think I need to stock up on salad mixes and grilled chicken so I have easy lunches in the fridge.

Our Aldi says none of their lettuce came from Yuma. I ate mac&cheese for lunch yesterday so I'm no help. I need to make enough of the grain bowls I mentioned that I can have lunch also.

I threw away all my Aldi salad mixes last week 😫 I did just restock - kale Caesar salads with grilled chicken or chicken sausage will now be my go to. Yum 😑

We bought DS1 cookies as a reward for potty training since it took him (sorry TMI) 5 days to get up the courage to poop. He ate 1. DH and I ate the rest of the bag. Oops. At least it took us a few days right? Oh. We also bought more brownies lol. But we haven’t made them yet!!
I’ve been working out almost every day. Yesterday we did a 2 mile walk and then I did weights. I also tried to do push ups and fell over. I don’t think I’m healed enough from my csection for core strength. Ugh I feel so weak!

I got a new battery for our scale tonight. I was pretty happy to see I’m down 27lbs from when I was pregnant. I would ideally like to lose another 20lbs and tone my core. I think I’ll break my goal into smaller chunks though...it doesn’t sound quite so scary to say i need to lose in 5 lb intervals.

calendula i think there is something where your muscles retain more water after a workout? too lazy to google but it could just be that - don’t get discouraged!

Okay I need some major motivation. We just made plans to visit my mom in FL and other family in the Midwest at the end of May/early June. In FL there will obviously be trips to the beach so I need to lose the rest of this weight like now. And selfishly I want to look decent when I see family for the first time PP. Is 10 lbs realistic to do in 4 weeks between diet and exercise?
I feel like I can do this. I ran/walked 3 miles yesterday and rode my bike hard on the trainer for 20 minutes today. And we are planning on the living the boring life of lots of chicken and veggies.

I can’t even fit into my pre baby yoga pants. I kind of feel like this is going to be impossible with two kids.

Yeah DH and I figure the only time I can work out because of his work schedule and the baby's constant nursing is after DS1 goes to bed which means going for a run at 8 pm and therefore when it is dark. I feel like I won't have the motivation to do that

I went for a walk run today and hula hooped for ten minutes. I had no motivation for the last couple weeks 🙁. Also I was crazy busy. So hoping I can take the time to get out and exercise more this week.
