I made rolled grape leaves with my gpa this morning. Washed dishes, swept the floors, vacuumed, on load 3 of laundry, and showered.
Now I'm just waiting around for it to be time to go to the doctor. I'm ready to get the appt over with and anxious to ask if I can be off bed rest.

potatocakes, ugh, the comments people make about pregnant women eating food are infuriating! Just let me eat what I want, please. No, this is not a "pregnancy craving". No, this is not my second lunch. Yes, I am eating enough and no, I don't need a second helping.

Feel better goldenbird! catspajamas2, boo to shingles. I remember when my mom had it. H has already agreed to a vasectomy after this one lol. Luckily, he thinks it's fair too so no complaints from him. potatocakes I'm super confused as to how a normal salad is proof. I mean, you're pregnant, obvs. And it's a salad. Wtf? It makes no sense at all. notmoose, grape leaves sound so good right now, omg. Also, holy crap that's a lot to do haha. I'm tired just reading all that. I hope you get off bed rest!

I got told I'm glowing last night and I was like lol, no that's just my oily face. My super dry, yet oily face. The only compliments acceptable with a pregnant woman are "You look beautiful!" or some variant thereof. I get a lot of pity stares when I tell people I'm due in July. But I think most of it is bc people know how hot it's going to be lol. One guy at the store was like the middle of summer?! You poor thing. Dude. I know. Stop reminding me. It's already upper 90s and I'm dying.
My parents left today after visiting a week, so I'm waiting for the grandparent withdrawals to kick in. And H is still working night shifts, so it's just me and the toddler allllll daaaaaayyyyy and niiiiiiiight. H is only home and awake between 2-4, which is coincidentally, her nap time.

It was super weird break room convo - she's for sure someone who pays attention to what others are eating/maybe comments on it, but for most people the comments are things like "that looks/smells delicious" or "did you make that?" kind of stuff. "What kind of salad dressing is that?" would be another, normal break room question. Lol.

I don't have to rest all the time. But I've just started listening to my body. So I'll stop when I feel like I need to. And all those weren't all at once lol. Dishes and sweeping before making the food, vacuum and laundry after and shower in between the laundry. Eta: and the grape leaves was all done sitting down at the table.

The glucose drink tasted like flat sprite and now I have heartburn. 🤢😷 I hate sprite, so flat sprite was not fun.

Someone I work with (unfortunately, an upper level manager, but fortunately, not a manager in my chain) both makes comments a couple times a week about my belly (usually not particularly rude, but just unnecessary), and then yesterday told me my salad was proof that I was eating for two (normal, entree sized salad, and also SALAD! It was a pile of veggies). Her desk is in the center of the office where I need to walk by regularly to get to the kitchen, copy room, etc., but I just don't want to hear it. It's amazing to me how people can not pick up on nonverbal cues. I'm sure the look on your face says it all and this person should get the hint that these comments make you uncomfortable.

cornflakegirl - work has been stressing me out and it has impacted my patience level with DS. It sucks. It also doesn't help that the last few days that DS hasn't be listening at all. Like, clearly trying to be defiant. Ugh. potatocakes - That's so unprofessional and unnecessary. I'd probably make a joke or passive aggressive comment so she knew to keep her mouth shut going forward - lol I feel like DS has been pushing my buttons so much these last few days. I think the closer we get to our DD the worse their behavior will get. They know something is about to change. I just hate it when I loose my patience or raise my voice.

Well blah. Doctor didn't see any evidence of a corneal abrasion. He thinks it's scleritis/episcleritis, so I have an appointment with an ophthalmologist tomorrow afternoon. Treatment is steroid eye drops and monitoring to make sure the drops don't thin the cornea too much. So we'll see. I am going to patch it at work tomorrow.

Basically never comment on a person's body /food/whatever. Whether they are pregnant or not. It's part of being a decent human being. Sheesh. goldenbird I hope you figure out your eye soon!

I'M FREE!!!
Well, kind of. He said I can start adding more activity, but to take it slow and continue listening to my body. If the contractions start I need to ease back.

Apparently scleritis can be very serious, and based on how my eye blood vessels look I think it's that. The epi form isn't as bad. But I'm definitely scared. I hope they can diagnose me today and recommend treatment.

Good morning! Nothing too exciting here. Just hanging with DD today. Trying to cram in a cup of coffee but she keeps bringing me her magnidoodle asking me to draw coffee so drinking it isn’t going well. 😂🤷🏻♀️

I'm really sorry goldenbird. That sounds frustrating and I understand your worry. Did the doctor say if this may be exacerbated by pregnancy or is this something that was occurring beforehand?

I think I am going to go for a short walk with ds today. It's supposed to be 63° again. We'll see how my body handles it, fx it's NBD.

I took the girls to swimming lessons and then went back to work until 10pm last night to put out a fire. I am really dragging today. This afternoon is my first iron infusion, maybe I can close my eyes for a few minutes while its happening.

notmoose, I'm glad you got good news and can add back some activity! goldenbird, sorry for the eye issues... I hope it resolves quickly. So, I just discovered that the Whole Foods downstairs from my office sells giant-sized rice crispy treats in bulk. This has the potential to become a very big problem...

We started potty training with DS on Saturday and he was originally beyond resistant (think full tantrums about using the toilet) to now staying dry overnight and having maybe one accident a day. I'm in shock! My sciatic nerve has been killing me the last few days and I'm hoping this is not my new normal. And I'm exhausted. And I don't want to work anymore. Anyone want to pay my bills for me?

I'm really sorry goldenbird. That sounds frustrating and I understand your worry. Did the doctor say if this may be exacerbated by pregnancy or is this something that was occurring beforehand? I may have an autoimmune disease such as Sjogren's syndrome. I've had dry eyes/mouth and such for a few years. I will be getting with a rheumatologist soon to start testing, even if I can't complete it until after pregnancy. Last summer I was almost diagnosed with MS, but clinically I'm not there yet. If it is scleritis, it often goes hand in hand with AI disorders. So I'll need to be investigating that. But for right now I'll settle for something to clear this round up. It may not be the only time it happens to me.
