Judgement free Zone: What's the earliest dpo you let yourself test, even if mentally you totally realize a bfp probably isn't possible.? I'll even go first 5dpo lol I know.... trust me.... I know I think 7 DPO when we were in TWW with DS. I’m going to start with 8 this cycle because my impulse control is terrible, 8DPO is Saturday which seems like a nice day to face a BFN, and I like to “pee on money.” Oh. But then there was that week where I peed on Wondfos thinking they were OPKs, but they were really pregnancy tests. And I was furious as to why my OPKs were negative the whole week. Does that count?

sharebear Omg I'm sorry, but that made me laugh! The earliest I've tested is 8dpo, but only if it's a cheapie. I will wait until 10 with a frer.

I know I have always temped (I tracked my temp for almost 2 years in order to TTA), so I never test early since I know what my temp is doing. The earliest I've tested is 11dpo, because in 4.5 years of charts if my temp is still way up at that point then it's pretty obvious. I have lots of self control and HATE seeing bfns.

Anyone else becoming increasingly shocked they ever got pregnant ever before? At this point if it ever happens I will actually be genuinely shocked. I mean I know it CAN happen. But WILL it? Seriously. How did I ever manage to get pregnant before?

So if progesterone is the issue, I will need to test early, early, early. I am losing my pregnancies by 17 and 18dpo, so I can't wait around to test later. I hate bfns and would 100% rather wait for AF. But if I get a bfp again I will be immediately at the ob's office for a blood draw to check progesterone. So probably 10dpo just in case. But I got my squinter this cycle at 12dpo, so I might just need to wait until 12dpo and then run to the ob's (maybe RE) office to check my levels. Or I'll see if they will just have me start supplementing fter O regardless because it seems that people say it can't hurt.

I just feel like it will never happen and seeing BFNs every month is just my life now.

The best day to get your progesterone tested is 7 days after a positive OPK. Estrogen should be tested on CD3.

Huh, they were going to draw my blood at my appt. today, but they were closing soon and wouldn't have had time to do the clotting test or something. So they just said go tomorrow. The benefit of going tomorrow is there is possibly a chance of catching a hcg of higher than 5, so I can have this pregnancy count as "clinically verified" towards my 3 repeated losses I'm supposed to have to be considered having "habitual miscarriages" which is covered by my insurance, while IF stuff is not.

It sucks going through all this and then worrying about having to have the whole thing documented too. I'm so sorry. I hope you get some answers.

After putting in my temp this morning FF took away my crosshairs and said it didn't detect O. I would say CD 18 for O. I think it's taking away the crosshairs because you don't have enough temps before O for FF to detect the pattern. If you're not out of here this month I would try to enter temps all the way through. It helps FF establish your baseline:) ETA 18 not 12

I was just super upset this morning when it told me that it didn't detect O, especially because I never got a "true" positive this month.

Some of the bfp charts I've seen dip down for a few days then go back up. Other than using temps to confirm O I'm not convinced they are really that accurate at detecting pregnancy:/ Do you think you might test at a certain point or are you trying to hold out? I would have already tested if I was at 12 dpo....but I'm a terrible bench mark to go by.

I would have already tested if I was at 12 dpo....but I'm a terrible bench mark to go by. Yes I'm 12DPO if we got by CD18 O. And before FF took everything away it was telling me to test on Friday, so I'm still going to wait until then, if I don't get AF before then. Of course with my googling I'm reading so much about people saying that implantation dip only lasts a day and then your temp is supposed to go up and stay there. So with my 3 days of progressively lower temps I just hate to hold onto hope. But it still make me insanely sad, even when I'm trying to manage my feelings. Thankfully I'm doing a garage sale tomorrow through Saturday, so I should be pretty distracted.

remi Every cycle I always start by thinking I'll be fine if/when AF eventually shows...but I never am. This past cycle my temps were still way up and my breasts SUPER sore and I swore I had the squintyest squinter on 11 dpo...but then AF showed. So blah. And that's why I'm waiting to test this next cycle. At least until 12 or 13 dpo because if I'm not KU then AF should be there by then. I just hate walking around so hopeful all month only to have to feel the hope come crashing down each time. So I get it. Right now I'm hopeful (waiting to O I'm always hopeful) but I know I'll feel terrible again in a few weeks if this month doesn't take. No matter what distractions we have we can't quite escape TTC feelings. And the guys just don't get what we go through every month:(

Age of LO(s): 2 3/4
Month/Cycle: 27 / 5AL. Those numbers are so high that I want to cry, especially because of the other five losses.
CD/DPO: CD1
Timing: N/a
RRCS: We had a lovely long weekend with friends and it did us all a lot of good. And the bonus is that this is a short week and it's already Wednesday!
Yesterday I saw my diabetes consultant. My diabetes has always been very well controlled outwith pregnancy, but one of my recent blood tests has revealed that it isn't any more. It's not seriously impacting my health. In fact, if we weren't still ttc, the consultant would be very happy. However, since we are, I'm probably going to have to go onto insulin injections until the end of a successful pregnancy. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks, after a few more tests. Still waiting for results from the other tests.
I've been thinking about whether I think I might get pregnant again. When we lost Gracie, I was completely certain that I'd be pregnant long before my EDD. That turned out to be my first chemical pregnancy. Then I thought I'd definitely be pregnant within a year of my bfp. Second chemical pregnancy... When my bfp for the twins was exactly a year after we found out that we'd lost Gracie, that was one of the reasons why we really thought it was going to go right this time. Nope. And then when I got the bfp in January we were full of new year, new baby thoughts and dreams. For twenty-four hours. So now I try not to have any timing related hopes. Although obviously I subconsciously do, because when I realised we weren't going to have a baby in 2018 I was devastated. Gah. Brains are infuriating sometimes.

purple so sorry for how you're feeling. At least they caught the insulin issue now rather than later. And timing related hopes are the worst. I still hold on to them but at this point I'll settle for a pregnancy at any time that one would like to happen.
